I actually got a lot of interesting ideas out of this book, but it's pretty technical and not written for a popular audience.

This book is great if you have tropical weather, and has some information for temperate forests, but most of the species recommended originate in South America and Africa and won’t grow in the Pacific Northwest. The information provided is great and well organized though. I don’t regret reading it despite its lack for our climate.
