Body Piercing

Rate this book
Piercing has been a part of human culture since before recorded time. Once the provenance of tribal cultures and outcast subcultures, piercing has been increasingly embraced by modern youth culture. Award-winning Australian photographer Andrew Dunbar and designer Dean Lahn have produced a beautifully printed, wittily packaged photo essay on the increasingly popular body modification method of piercing. From the more common navel, eyebrow, and nipple piercings to the more "extreme" ones such as septum, labret, and ampallang, among others, this book presents an eye-opening, compelling, and visually stunning look at the people who choose to their bodies by piercing as well as the piercings themselves.
