At sixteen, she saved a dying boy outside her father’s estate. She didn’t know he was the heir to the Italian mafia. She didn’t know her own father had ordered his torture.
She only knew he was bleeding. She stayed with him for fourteen hours. Then he vanished.
Ten years later, she’s running again—hunted, alone, desperate. She stumbles into a church for sanctuary… and hides in a dressing room. Then she sees him. The boy she saved. Now a ruthless mafia king.
And his men, surrounding her instantly, hands on guns, eyes blazing with fury. But he doesn’t flinch. He’s already smiling—knowing. “Stand down,” he says, calm and commanding.
His eyes lock on hers, piercing. “Just tell me one thing,” he murmurs. “Do you still desire me the way you did back then?” The room goes silent. “Because if you do,” he adds, voice dangerous, “I’ll cancel this wedding right now… and make you my bride.”
With nowhere left to run, she says yes.
She thinks he’s marrying her out of gratitude. She’s wrong. He marries her for revenge. Her father didn’t just hurt him—he destroyed his childhood. And what better way to repay that pain than to trap the enemy’s daughter under his roof?
On the altar, he kisses her slowly, his lips tasting of peach—the one thing she’s deathly allergic to. Minutes later, she’s collapsing at the altar. Through the chaos— He watches. Satisfied.
On their wedding night, he declared, “My first love, Violet, was my first kiss… she was supposed to be my bride, but I left her at the altar today and married you instead—not because I hate her, but because I want you to suffer in my palm.
Their marriage stays a battlefield for three long weeks—until fate shatters it all: Elena is kidnapped on the third week. When she’s rescued, she discovers she’s pregnant. She swears she was never touched.
He doesn’t believe her. He convinces himself the child was conceived during her captivity—that it belongs to one of the men who took her. Twenty-one DNA tests. None can confirm he’s the father.
He rejects her. Rejects the baby.
Treats both like stains he can’t wash away. Yet when Violet becomes pregnant—with another man’s child—he guards her like she carries his heir. Attends every appointment. Shields her from stress.
And when Violet accuses her of theft, he has her thrown into a freezing room—despite her being eight months pregnant and close to giving birth. She pounds on the door, screaming that the baby is coming.
He doesn’t listen. Hours later, he unlocks the door. He nudges her with his shoe.
Her body rolls across the icy floor. And he sees it. A dark, frozen pool of blood beneath her and a crumpled medical report clutched in her stiff fingers.
High-risk pregnancy at eight months—exposure to extreme cold could induce fetal demise.
For the first time— He breaks. “Get the ambulance! Now!” He carries her himself, panic tearing through him, her blood staining his hands.
But when he reaches the hospital… she’s gone. Snatched from him in a single, merciless moment. His world shatters.
“No one takes my wife from me.”
For the first time in his life, the ruthless mafia king falls to his knees— Consumed by rage, grief, and the horrifying truth: The woman he destroyed… may be the only one he was never meant to lose.
O.S Feathers writes dark, twisty love stories about morally questionable men and the fierce, brilliant women who bring them to their knees, sometimes literally. She has a soft spot for arranged marriages, possessive antiheroes, and heroines who know how to shoot or at least threaten with style.
She drinks too much coffee, lives for slow-burn tension, and has never met a knife-to-throat scene she didn’t love. When she’s not writing, she’s probably researching obscure Russian swear words, rewriting a spicy chapter for the third time, or convincing her characters that therapy is not, in fact, the enemy.
If you like your love stories messy, dangerous, and just a little unhinged, she’s got you.
This book was a bunch of eye r9lling ridiculousness. I don't even have words. Apparently, they are all superhuman and don't deal with wounds, pain, betrayal, and / or logic at all.
Absolutely not, I’m so mad. This entire book Vincenzo (mmc) hates Elena (fmc) and is constantly up and down with his feelings for her, the inconsistency started to irritate me but I could get over it. There’s weird time jumps as well and I feel like we missed key things during those time jumps, they were just glossed over. But the two things that made me the most irate is the ending. Spoilers ahead: Vincenzo does some messed up things to Elena and punishes her basically the whole book and then begs for her forgiveness during one of the last chapters, no groveling just some begging and she takes him back. Are we serious?????? Also, Elena gives birth while locked in a freezer for five hours, no medical care and then is rolling and twisting on the ground fighting off bad guys??? Like huh???? And Vincenzo gets shots eight times and goes to the hospital where he is “sedated” and “recovering” but somehow miraculously gets out of bed and starts walking around and even carries Elena at one point???

What. The. Fuck. Someone save my girl Elena. I didn’t like this book but I finished it out of anger. I had to see where this ‘romance’ went, because how do you possibly comeback from ANYTHING Vincenzo did. The AUDACITY for him to ask for forgiveness! PLEASE. And the writing just made it heard to read due the repetition, short sentences and blocky writing.
This was torture not love.. all he did was torture her. It was so hard to read. No content warning and a waste of time. DONT READ IT. Fr don’t read it, he abuses her in so many ways that at one point the idea of the mmc getting killed sounded so good.
I hate that I liked it! The level of angst was off the charts, it was like a dramatic soap opera
H: why does it hurt anytime I hurt her H: constantly gets gaslight by the evil jilted bride h: apparently a trained CIA operative who has rapid healing powers H: literally gave birth to a preemie in a freakin freezer and survived H: only I can hurt you
Was choking on my dinner when telling this bonkers story to my sis
Terrible book. The mmc is just abusive and emotionally cheats on her, and the fmc is so weak for forgiving him after everything he’s done. There are a few thing in the look that just don’t make sense. Like how is the mmc walking and carrying her straight after having surgery from 8 gunshot wounds?? And how did the baby survive being born in a -42°C room and staying there for 5 hours? I understand that this is a fictional story, but still…
I should have stopped reading the book when I realized his mistress is basically the second fmc (or in her case, the first because he cares more about her than his wife)
I would actually give this book to my worst enemy to read!

Wrong Marriage, Right Bride was a really enjoyable read. What stood out to me most was that it actually had a strong plot, which I appreciated. Sometimes romance books rely too heavily on steamy scenes, but this one offered a compelling story alongside the romance.
The dynamic between the main characters was especially entertaining. Their interactions were intense, unpredictable, and often surprisingly hostile, which kept things exciting and made their relationship development even more satisfying.
My main issue with the book was the repetitive writing. Certain details—especially the constant reminders that the heroine was a former CIA agent—were mentioned far too often. It felt like the same information was being repeated over and over again. There was also quite a bit of unnecessary dialogue and exposition, which occasionally slowed the pacing. I found myself skimming some paragraphs because they didn't add much to the story.
That said, the overall plot was intriguing enough to keep me invested. If I had one final complaint, it would be the ending. I really wish the villain had faced harsher consequences. For my taste, her downfall wasn't nearly satisfying enough.
Despite its flaws, this was still a very entertaining romance with plenty of tension, drama, and an engaging storyline.
First: the reason he hated her was totally stupid and unreasonable. That made everything pointless to me.
Second: to0 many things made no sense e.g the thing with her sister marrying that villian guy. that was never mentioned again so why bring it up anyway? whyyyyy did she kill the sister of the guy shes fleeing from? her best friend? it makes noooooo sense.
so many weird time jumps. why was her father not in the room after Vin rescued her? i waited for that confrontation and we didn't even get to really read the rescue. it was just retold. why was Vin always on Violets side when he could not care less about her in the first few chapters before the marriage happened? it felt like he got a personality switch after the marriage regarding Violet. And i'm convinced she staged this "saving his life" thing somehow. also there is now way a baby would have survived the cold room. Vin walking around right after the operation (when he got shot 7 times)? oh come on!! I'm sure there are many more things i can't think about right now....
Third: AFTER ALL THE SHIT HE MADE HER SUFFER TROUGH SHE FORGAVE HIM AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS? WHAAAAAAAAT????? Not month, not weeks, not day. Hours!!!!
4 1/2 stars. I binge read this book. There were several things wrong with this book. The reader is asked to believe that some healing takes weeks while other injuries can be overlooked on the same day. There are holes/inconsistencies in the story e.g., the h drives to a beach, the H drives to find her and yet they leave in one car. The just in time rescues stretch believability. I am a sucker for an alpha male who is wrong about an h, treats her like garbage then has to face the truth about his mistreatment. A bonus in this book is an OW who is always chosen before the h. The level of angst is off the charts. The h is escaping from her enemies' men and seeks refuge in a church. Coincidentally, the H, someone she met briefly as children, is the groom in a wedding. The H had horrific experiences with the h's father and spontaneously decides to marry the h so that he can use her as revenge and he does. The h's character is inconsistent. At times she can channel her CIA training to take out a group of men and at other times she meekly complies. Most people will not like this book but I revelled in the angst.
I like reading about male suffering. this was the exact opposite. the concept was fairly new to me hence I was intrigued but it didn't sit well w me how she took him back after all the suffering he made her go through. and I'm sorry but giving her Violet's head on a platter doesn't undo all the damage he's done. and I wish Elena left him and found love in someone who never made her go through all of that. lowkey Elena is also equally to blame bc she should've run from him when he gave her the chance. divorced him and started fresh somewhere else. it's not realistic to be that forgiving. I didn't like Vincenzo at all, and men like him don't deserve a redemption arc.
but I will begrudgingly say that this is the most worked up I've been about a book in a very long time, and it gave me an escape from other pressing things in my life so I would give this solid 2 stars instead of 1. honestly this could've easily been a 5 star read. if she didn't go back to him, and if she took her revenge.

It was one thing after another. No trust, and event, anger, softens slightly.... a new event, anger, softens slightly... a new event, anger, softens slightly... again and again.
It took physical evidence for him to finally give her a chance, and this was at like... 90%. There was an apology, a promise for more... we never get to see it, and the book ends.
Some of these acts were insane. And so much was just unexplained or not very well established. Like... she holds someone hostage for four weeks, but when MMC shows up... the hostage isnt there?
I get a lot will continue in the series, but its just too much insanity that I'm not sure I really want to continue right now.
The book has potential but it’s all over the place. It’s either too slow or too fast paced. The things that would have made this book good were skipped over and the groveling was so short it made the main character’s forgiveness look like he just pushed her and she fell instead of all the crap he did. Honestly the foundation for a good book is there, it just needs to be restructured and rewritten.
This book felt like a trilogy, in the worst way possible. A hodgepodge of every plot you can imagine. Everything is rushed and tightly developed. Far too many unimportant things that don't help the plot at all and only confuse you. The MMC is abusive, neglecting, and so incredibly stupid. The FMC deserves so much better, but still stays with him after all the physical and mental torture. The story was just toxic. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS BOOK!
Something is really wrong with this author. How can someone hate the female gender so much is what I keep asking. She keeps creating irredeemable, monstrous, abusive mmcs and the most pathetic, pitiful, spineless fmcs who forgive and forget the abuse in one go. At this point it's my mistake to keep hoping that this author will have any shame and brain to stop creating garbage.
Genuinely such a horribly written book. The plot and the way the make and female characters are written the author had no idea what they were trying to write. I love my dark romance reads but this book was so awful - could have had so much potential. There are random skips in the plot and character switching they way they act and feel better in a badly written way (giving wattpad writer)
so we are now romanticizing an abuser? I understand the scenes where the mmc ignored the fmc but the excessive punishments that can actually kills her but then one kiss, she forgives him and imagine their future together? Wow. The writing can be improved, I spot several errors while reading.
lastly, what happened to the academy thing?

This book feels like those AI minecraft videos i know it isnt ai generated but it feels like those stories that are just so dumb but keep u wanting to read to the end to see the Heroine get her revenge which she didnt even get.
Hero is stupid and blind. How could a mafioso have his head so far up his ass that he doesnt see the deception going on alll around him!
Start of the book just told me the whole plot, 3 stars because I read it in a day and couldn’t put it down but where’s the grovel for what he done to her I though maybe next book would be it but it’s about another couple
What the actual hell did I just read? I'm not into bashing someone's books or ideas. But this is disgusting and wrong. This isn't romance. Its a horror story on toxic nonsense. I didn't even finish the book. I dont know what this is, but its not worth reading.
Wtaf did I just read again?! Why do I subject myself to this?! The stupidest read I have ever read. I’m gonna need more than 3 hours of my life back. Where can I sue and get this idiotic bs off the shelves? Cdrama shorts have better writers Smdh
Writing is shit, plot holes bigger than my house. The mmc is an abuser none of this was romantic. And wtf you just gave birth and you’re ready to fight? Then 2 hours after you want sex? I’m sorry but that book was not a book, it was a iPhone note written by a weirdo
