Supernatural Suckers #3

The Afterlife's Most Anxious Reaper

One rookie reaper. One reckless daredevil. Zero chance of this going by the book.

Fresh out of training, Greg has high hopes for his very first solo job as a reaper. That is, until his target—a BASE-jumping adrenaline junkie named Dustin—survives a fatal accident, dusts himself off, and walks away with an infuriating smile.

Convinced it's a cosmic clerical error, Greg takes matters into his own hands. Soon he's tampering with gear, cutting parachute cords, and maybe (but not technically) trying to murder a man who treats Greg's polite requests to “please die already” as some kind of joke.

At first, Dustin figures the anxious guy with the clipboard is just an overeager fan with dark humor. Odd, but cute.

Then he realizes no one else can see him.

Then he catches him walking through a wall—right after sabotaging his parachute.

Unhinged cosplayer or Death himself, Dustin doesn't care.

No one touches his parachute.

If Greg wants to interfere with his life, Dustin's more than happy to return the favor. Not only is he going to survive, he’s going to save everyone else on Greg’s list.

After all, if Greg wanted an easy target, he shouldn't have picked someone who flirts with death for a living.

I want to thank the author for the ARC opportunity! I actually stumbled across this series randomly during a Stuff Your Kindle Day and completely fell in love with the world and characters. I’ve been waiting for this book since January, so the second I saw the ARC sign-up, I jumped at the chance to read it early.

And wow—it absolutely did not disappoint.

Greg and Dustin were everything. I loved their dynamic so much because it didn’t feel like a standard grumpy x sunshine pairing. Greg is a newly appointed grim reaper who genuinely loves life, loves people, and just wants to be the best reaper he can be. Meanwhile, Dustin is deeply jaded, weighed down by grief he refuses to confront, and honestly doesn’t care whether he lives or dies. Together, they are complete chaos in the best possible way.

One of my favorite things about this book was the way it handled death, dying, and the transition into the afterlife. It felt incredibly personal and real without losing the humor and heart that makes this series so special. Honestly, I hope when my time comes, someone like Greg is there to guide me through it.

The themes of grief, sacrifice, healing, and learning how to keep living after loss were handled beautifully. Watching Greg experience things for the first time was one of the absolute highlights for me—it was wholesome, adorable, and made me want him to have a million more new experiences. And seeing Dustin slowly work through his pain and begin to heal was incredibly satisfying.

That ending also perfectly set up the next Supernatural Sucker book, and now I’m already impatient to see where the series goes next!

ALSO. GIVE ME NOAH'S BOOK ALREADY. ;_;

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Supernatural Suckers Series. I enjoyed immersing myself in this world that Silvana Falcon has created. Poor Greg was such an anxious mess and Dustin not dying didn’t help matters, especially being that Dustin was meant to be his first solo job as a reaper. I don’t blame Dustin for trying to change people’s fates after getting ahold of Greg’s supernatural clipboard after learning that not only was Greg telling to truth that he’s a Reaper.

But that he had a hand in trying to push things along since Dustin missed his death date and his direct supervisor told him that this didn’t happen and he needs to give things a helping hand. I liked how their relationship progressed and I thought that they were great together, it was really adorable how excited Greg was trying new foods while in the human realm “researching” aka dating Dustin to find out why he’s still alive. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this series as it continues. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.

This story was amazing. I love the characters voices and was laughing out loud multiple times throughout. This story has the perfect amount of comedy and romance. I feel like a lot of romance books lack in plot, but this books plot was on point. The supernatural aspects were well thought out.

I loved Greg and his sweet innocence. The way he is so sincere with everything he does. He’s the best cinnamon roll character I have read in a while.

Dustin and his journey to finding joy and meaning in life was wonderful to read. He felt relatable and was a well rounded character.

Overall this book is well worth the read. Absolutely hilarious and sweet. Filled me with all the warm and fuzzy feelings.

I’ve been so impressed and fallen in love with every book in this series, so to say I was anxiously anticipating this novel is putting it lightly. Greg is the sweetest sweetie pie to ever sweetie pie. He’s a newly minted reaper after completing his training, and his first collection is simply put… not dying. It was funny, it was so romantic, and if I’m honest - I cried like four times. From being there in someone’s final moments to shepherd them to the other side, learning what living truly means, and discovering what love is; you’ll be tearing up throughout in the most wholesome way. I absolutely adored this book and loved seeing our angel/cupid/matchmaker extraordinaire Noah again. Even more excited at the sneak peek at the next book at the end because I thought this might be the last one!

Thank you Booksprout for the ARC. This review is honest and voluntary.

Silviana haș done it again.
I am not sure what it is about a bumbling supernatural being that really pulls me in, but it definitely makes for a great story.
Watching Greg and Dustin go from reaper and potential reaped, to attempted murderer and the unreaped, to working together to try to figure out why Dustin is not able to be reaped was so much fun. Even the side characters brought so much to the story including the clipboard!
The relationship between Greg and Dustin really had you rooting for them even when it seemed that they were destined to remain on opposite sides of the problem.
I have read all of this series so far and I really hope they keep on coming.

I absolutely loved this book! Greg and Dustin are both such sweet characters and I loved their dynamic. This book had me laughing one page and sobbing the next. I loved the writing and how the author talked about death. I genuinely thought this was going to be just a fun, sweet read but it truly was so much more than that. I fell in love with our anxious little reaper, Greg, and the crazy daredevil who seemed to have a death wish, Dustin, so fast. This was genuinely unlike any book I’ve read so far and I have nothing but good things to say about it. 🥰😍.

I truly loved this whole book. I loved Greg as the reaper doing his first solo mission and it totally not going as planned. Then there was Dustin who was done living after his brother died and seemed to be unable to die. These two characters end up together trying to figure out what happened and how to fix it and in the end the whole game changes. I definitely recommend this book to everyone who enjoys mm afterlife adventures with some feelings included.

Greg and Dustin story was funny with a side of danger and adrenaline coupled with some shocking revelations and a change that brings them happiness.
It has teasing and sass, emotional moments, and hard decisions that were made with love and desperation.
I liked how they connected, how spending time together changed them both for the better, as well as how they discover new things about themselves as certain events are revealed.
I also enjoyed seeing old characters, and I keep wondering if a certain someone will have a story.

This might have been my favorite of the series. Greg and Dustin were adorable together. I loved every time Greg tried something new. Pure sweetness. Did I cry 3 times? Yes yes I did. Anything revolving around death or crossing over always gets to me. I feel like Dustin needed to be with Greg to understand life/death. That the end isn’t always the end and life and love are worth something. Yes it’s a romcom but it truly does have some deep meaningful parts throughout. Absolutely loved. This one I would definitely read multiple times.

This book was amazing. I was giggling and kicking my feet and gasping saying ‘oh no’ at some points and forced my boyfriend to read some parts.

Greg is SO endearing and cute. And Devin is the perfect man for him! Also I adore that the innocent Greg has a very keen interest in metal~
And the SPICEY time— that was hilarious and I was just exclaiming my reactions out loud.

I was/am still craving for more of this series, so I feel very grateful for having gotten the opportunity to have an ARC.

Greg is an anxious reaper who follows the rules and wants to do a good job. Dustin is his first collection and things don't go to plan. What follows is a series of adventures and a relationship along the way. This book made me laugh. Noah is a great side character in the series and I have an idea of who or what Noah could be. I'm looking forward to the next book.

A funny, heartfelt addition to the series.
Greg’s anxious reaper energy and Dustin’s chaotic daredevil charm make the perfect opposites‑attract duo. I loved the humour, the emotional moments, and the way their dynamic grows with every disaster. Another adorable, quirky win for the series.
