Shattered Queens - Veronica
Veronica
Beautiful and Reckless
I’m Chaos wrapped in designer dresses and fake smiles.
A high-society disaster searching for direction and secrets shrouded in shame.
But I have a new problem.
Someone is sending me reminders of a part of my life I’d rather forget.
Pulling my strings from the dark. It feels threatening.
Everyone around me has secrets.
I don’t know who’s lying. I don’t know who to trust.
I’m not sure if the man watching me is my protector…or the reason I should be afraid.
They say it’s all for my protection.
But the cage is starting to smother me, and something’s about to break.
I’m afraid it’s going to be me.
Book 2 of the Shattered Queens Trilogy—a dark, dual-POV billionaire romance where obsession masquerades as obligation, the secrets are explosive, and protection is used as control.

Some of these scenes absolutely floored me 😮💨🫠 him crawling to her and taking her panties off with his teeth whilst they were in the dressing room was INSANE!! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

First I’d like to thank Ines Ocon for letting me ARC read again.
I absolutely devoured book 1 in the Shattered Queen series and couldn’t wait to get my hands on book 2!
We meet Veronica briefly in book 1 as the chaotic younger sister who always seems to get herself into some kind of trouble. This book, gives us the much anticipated insight into why Veronica does the things she does and why she always seems to be so chaotic.
Luckily for Veronica she’s always had Miles looking out for her (not that she appreciates him to begin with) definitely a bit of the old enemies to lovers vibe and I am fully here for it!
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to seeing more from the Shattered Queens series.
Please just make sure to check your trigger warnings before picking up these books.

Veronica has always been known as the chaotic one in the family. As the youngest and the only daughter, she is considered to be impulsive and often reckless, ending up in bad situations because she trusts the wrong people. For years, her brothers have forced her to endure being constantly monitored by one of their associates, controlling every aspect of her life, and forcing her to find creative ways to get around his watchful ways. But when she ends up in trouble again, she is forced to turn to him for help, only the man behind the mask is not at all who she expected.
Miles has been watching Veronica for years, and while he knows some of her secrets, there are still some truths he can’t uncover. As he weaves himself deeper into her world, he struggles between her family’s desire to keep things from her for her own good, and telling her the truth so she knows about the threats against her. When he is forced to spend time in her presence, their animosity transforms into something more, and while he knows he’s crossing an uncrossable line, he doesn’t know if he can stop himself. But the secrets he’s keeping from her could change everything, and he knows once she learns the truth he could lose her before he ever really had her.
I received an early copy of this book from the author and absolutely loved it! Unlike the first book where the MCs appeared cool and composed on the surface, Veronica embodies chaos, but in reality it hides her deep pain. I loved how Miles (in all his stalkerish ways) manages to pick up on so much that no one has ever noticed, but even he doesn’t understand the full picture. Watching him be both dominant and submissive with Veronica, depending on what they both need showed a true balance in their relationship, and while it started with the worst kind of secrets, in the end they’re both willing to do whatever it takes to keep the other safe.

Shattered Queens – Veronica by Inez Ocon is a dark and emotionally addictive billionaire romance filled with obsession, secrets, emotional tension, family control, and relationship dynamics that constantly keep you emotionally invested.
The story follows Veronica, the youngest and only daughter in her family, who has earned a reputation as the impulsive and reckless “chaotic one.” Because of her past decisions and tendency to trust the wrong people, her brothers keep her under constant supervision through associates who monitor nearly every aspect of her life.
That controlling environment creates emotional tension throughout the story because underneath Veronica’s chaos is someone desperately searching for freedom and autonomy over her own life.
I really appreciated Veronica as an FMC because her flaws made her feel realistic and emotionally layered rather than perfect.
Miles was equally compelling as the MMC. He has secretly watched over Veronica for years while carrying knowledge and secrets that place him in an emotionally impossible position between protecting her, obeying her family, and deciding whether she deserves the truth.
The emotional push and pull between them was one of the strongest parts of the story for me because the tension constantly builds beneath every interaction.
The story balances emotional vulnerability, obsession, suspense, control, and longing in a way that makes the relationship dynamic feel emotionally intense and addictive from beginning to end.
Overall, Shattered Queens – Veronica is a dark and emotionally gripping romance filled with secrets, emotional conflict, family pressure, obsession, and relationship tension that makes the story impossible to put down.

I like it, the plot the angst the back and forth really good. Fmc is in the first book, the sister of Ian and in the first book she’s not likeable at all I felt. She was spoilt and I didn’t like her attitude towards Yuri and even in this one I thought she needs to mind her own business but I guess the family is all involved in each others lives. I liked the dominance of the mmc. So she’s a struggling addict she got out of an emotionally abusive relationship and cause her mums unwell she’s been running away. And for a few years she’s known someone as Miles to be following her every step and she hates him. Then there’s a guy called Cam that says he’s a friend of the family and her bros and she ends up living opposite him cause she wants to get away from her family. She thinks she’s getting close and friendly to Cam and she finds out that miles and Cam are the same person. She goes to a sex club and cam comes up behind her and fingers her and they didn’t really address that again. They start to get really close and there’s someone that keeps sending nude photos of her and she also stabs this guy that’s powerful that wants to get revenge. Mmc takes her to Columbia because after she finds out that mmc knew about photos that were taken off her before and didn’t tell her she gets disruptive again and goes to get high and to sleep with someone and mmc crashes in and kills the guy. I thought the ending drama was a bit naff. I find it weird with all her oh I don’t trust people now and the fact that she knows there’s a threat that she would just got to frank without any back up or anything so I didn’t really like that. The book was a bit chaotic. But I liked them together. I liked her dominance scenes but I liked the first one more

I received an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest, voluntary review
I can't decide what to rate this book, but I'm leaning towards a 4.25/4.5
This is basically a dark mafia romance without the characters technically being mafia, I'd say they are mafia adjacent. Veronica is a bit of a mess. She's a lost, party girl who is fully living in her don't give a fuck era! Her circle of male cousins, brothers and family friends wants to protect and shield her even when she's spiraling and could really use a reality check. One of her fiercest protectors, Miles, or lapdog as he is so unlovingly referred to, is the cyber genius, stalker who literally watches her every move, trying to save her from herself without much finesse. Only things aren't always what they seem.
The second installment in the shattered queens series was chock full of bad decisions, interesting side plots and so much steamy sex. Honestly, the spice was next level and I am not mad about it. Seeing the FMCs sexual evolution from an act of self-loathing and escape to truly embracing her desires and power was a great journey to be on. I loved Veronica owning her needs and demanding what she wanted after so many years of doing what she thought someone else wanted. This story was really one of self-love and acceptance that I enjoyed immensely. It also doesn't hurt when a strong and powerful man is willing to crawl to his queen and do her bidding.
This series is getting stronger and stronger with each book released. I appreciate a high spice book with a quality plot and that is what Inez delivered. I can't wait to see whose story we get next!

4.5 ⭐️ first book I’ve read of the authors.
This story follows Veronica, the only daughter and the youngest of the Kade family. Surrounded by older brothers and cousins who only want to protect her but sometimes may be doing it the wrong way. She’s impulsive and somewhat reckless and has an addiction for drugs and alcohol to shield her memories of the past . They hire a hacker Miles to be her protector and watch everything she does and Veronica hates him for it. Nicknamed lapdog, Miles watches her from afar through cameras and more and may also be someone close to her family. Keeping some big secrets from her the family protects her through how they see fit by not telling her something that can truly be life changing. Miles struggles with doing his job and keeping this secret from her and also wanting to tell her the truth. With looming threats that keep being sent to her and old friends and new ones Miles steps into her world and even though Veronica says she hates him, things end up changing and lines end up being crossed. Can he keep her after she finds out the secret that he’s been keeping from her or will he lose her before he’s really had her? Read to find out.
I love the mafia style of this book even though they aren’t really in the mafia. Also love the enemies to lovers trope that is seen between the main character. I love Miles and Veronica’s relationship that ends up blooming. I love that she is strong and that both will do whatever seems necessary to protect one another. Thank you to the author for the arc. I will now have to go back and read book 1.

💜:
“F**k, Veronica. Your mouth was made for my c*ck.” He groans “Take what you want, baby.”
“Remember who made you come tonight. When you walk out the door, remember it was me who f***ed this p*$$y into oblivion.”
The buildup between these two? Absolutely delicious 😋
Veronica is layered in the best way, so many emotions tucked beneath the surface, secrets peeking through little by little. And I have to say… top-tier FMC name choice (I might be a little biased 🤭 since it's my name too). But truly, it made her feel even more personal.
And then there’s Cam… sir 👀 Those protective instincts definitely blur into stalker territory, but he’s not just that, he’s carrying his own demons, and it shows. That mix between the two of them? Messy, intense, and it made for an entertaining read. When the spice hits, know there’s a full-on “F*** it” moment and I ate that up. Their banter had me laughing too. The constant “I hate you but also…” energy was perfection. And let’s just say… Cam has zero chill when it comes to wanting her 🤭 not complaining at all. And the twists?? Some of these characters were straight-up unhinged, in the best way. Inez, you really had me hooked, hanging onto every page, trying to piece it all together. Such a fun, twisted read & I recommend you enjoy this story if enemies-to-lovers, among other things is your jam.

4/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Shattered Queens- Veronica
Thank you to the author Inez Ocon for sending me a digital ARC copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.
Veronica Kayde is such a refreshing FMC. On the surface, she’s the "chaotic" youngest sibling of a high-society family, but underneath all that designer armor, she’s incredibly vulnerable and dealing with some heavy secrets. Watching her find her voice and transform from a "disaster" into a woman who takes charge of her own life was the best part of the story for me.
And then there’s Miles. If you love the "brother’s best friend" and "touch her and you die" tropes, he is going to be your new obsession. He’s the perfect blend of a dangerous protector and an obsessive, morally gray hero. The tension between him and Veronica is thick from page one—the slow burn is intense, but the payoff? Totally worth it.
What I didn't expect was how much the suspense would hook me. There’s a mystery involving Veronica's past that kept me guessing, making this a true "plot-driven" romance rather than just steam for steam’s sake.
If you’re looking for a dark billionaire romance with all the spicy vibes then this is the book for you. release May 5th.
A huge thanks to Inez Ocon for giving me the privilege to read the book before the book is released.

I’m so grateful to have received this ARC!
Shattered Queens: Veronica by Inez Ocon is an enemies-to-lovers romance that truly delivers. The angst between the MMC and FMC was exactly what I want in this trope, and their banter was sharp, engaging, and so fun to read.
The spice level was definitely turned up, adding another layer of intensity to an already gripping story.
What really stood out to me was how the plot continued to twist and evolve, it kept me fully invested. While the ending was satisfying, I honestly wasn’t ready for it to be over.
Miles is the kind of unhinged, dark MMC I can’t get enough of, and his devotion to protecting and supporting Victoria made him even more compelling. Victoria’s character growth throughout the story was beautifully done and made her easy to root for.
I will admit I put the book down briefly, but once I picked it back up, I couldn’t believe I had stepped away. It’s the kind of story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go.
This was my first book by Inez Ocon, but it definitely won’t be my last.
If you like this, read for:
• Enemies-to-lovers tension
• Sharp, witty banter
• Dark, unhinged MMCs
• Protective, devoted love interests
• Strong FMC character growth
• High spice romance 🔥

The author weaves complex elements into a seamless plot, creating a beautiful journey from victim to survivor. This story captured my heart with its raw portrayal of two broken individuals simply trying to survive.
Veronica has been allowing her past to dictate her life and her self-destructive tendencies felt like a desperate cry for help. It was heartbreaking watching her struggle while her family remained oblivious, not seeing the suffering under the surface. Miles gets a glimpse behind the mask she so carefully constructed and realizes that all she truly needs is an ally.
Miles’s unwavering support, gives her exactly what she needed to take that first step. Knowing Veronica has never been given the choice of control, he yields some of his to her. Once given control, she transforms into this sexual, confident woman whose dirty talk was top tier. When the power shifts back to Miles, it turns intense, rough, and incredibly hot.
Veronica and Miles' story is beautiful and vulnerable. There were times when I was frustrated how those around her failed to see her pain or inadvertently made it worse.
Veronica and Miles have easily become one of my favorite fictional couples; their story is an emotional explosion of healing and love.

OK, first things first, you absolutely have to read the first book of shattered queens, which is Serena’s book before you read Veronica’s. There are several instances in the book where characters are talked about, and I forgot quite a few of the characters so I kept having to go back in reference who was who.
Anyways, this book is so good. AND I MEAN SO GOOD. I love Miles. It’s so confusing at first because it says it’s a dual point of view and it looks like it’s more than two people but anyways you’ll find out about that later … but back to Miles I love him. I’m obsessed with him. I think he is absolutely the type of stalker-obsessed-boyfriend we all long for in novels.
“When I was younger, my mother made me promise that when I fell in love, I’d buy that woman a pearl necklace,” Miles says softly. “Just like my abuelo did for my grandmother. It’s a tradition she wanted me to uphold.” “You love me?” I ask, my lips trembling as the weight of the gesture sinks in. “With everything I am.” He leans in, his gaze unwavering and fierce. “I love you, Veronica Kayde.”
this part had me kicking my feet giggling because it was just so cute and unexpected. I love the character development in this book. Both with Vee and Miles. Such a great read.

If you're looking for chaos, this is the story to read.
Veronica is known to be impulsive and reckless, she's the kind of girl who always ends up in the wrong hands, at the wrong place at the wrong time. Because she comes from a famous family, social media constantly monitors her actions.
Enter Miles, the man hired behind the scenes to monitor her movements and keep her out of trouble. Little did either know that this one incident would cause them to work together and discover an instant connection between them.
Veronica and Miles together = hot. The spice be spicing and I 100% am here for our girl. I loved that how she progressed from escapism to really wanting to explore her powers and desires. What I loved more was how Miles molded himself around Veronica, ensuring he was what she really needed even during vulnerable times. Who doesn't love a powerful man who becomes weak at the knees for his Queen?
I thoroughly loved that this book focused on self-acceptance and self-love. Inez delivered this concept really well and I really felt empowered after finishing it. Thank you, Inez, for this.

ARC Review: Shattered Queens: Veronica by Inez Ocon
Thank you to Inez Ocon for the ARC
Veronica is messy, reckless, and a little bit feral in the way that makes you want to protect her and shake her at the same time. Beneath the glitter and bad decisions is a woman drowning in things she was never allowed to process, and watching those layers peel back kept me hooked.
Miles is the kind of problem you do not solve, you survive. Watching her for years, knowing more than he should, and still not enough. He walks the line between protector and threat so well it stays tense the entire time. Their dynamic? All bite, banter, and barely restrained heat. The I hate you but not really energy was delicious.
The twists kept twisting, the secrets kept stacking, and just when you think you have a grip, it slips. I wanted a little more clarity in a few moments, but I was locked in and fully invested in this chaotic, dangerous world.
I LOVE TO SEE a Latina author delivering dark romance that actually feels sharp.

THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS. They fuck each other crazy, sorry I mean they drive each other crazy.
Veronica is so easily judged solely based on her actions. She’s a wild party girl who has a sexual appetite. But just like anyone else, when you get to know their experience and feelings you get the whole picture of the cause and effect.
Miles, Miles, Miles, (that’s what she said) you wickedly obsessive, hot as fuck Colombian man! He is the definition of being a shadow—always in the cut, but he knows. He had me fooled—I have to say Inez you absolutely crushed that secret identity.
This story will take you on a wild ride 🥵. There were so many intense revelations, my heart was racing!!!! Reading honestly felt like watching a telenovela—intense romance, high-stakes drama, crime, family feuds, revenge, secrets, literally EVERYTHING!
Veronica & Miles are my favorite couple thus far from this series. They’re a force to be reckoned with and just down right dirty for each other.

Veronica is book 2 in the Shattered Queens series and she did not disappoint! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book after briefly meeting our FMC in Serena(book1)
Veronica, chaotic younger sister to Ian Kayde and the family 'disappointment', we finally get to deep dive into why she's always finding herself into some sort of trouble. Not only is she so strong but fully relatable! Her struggles with how she sees herself and the troubles she goes through was handled beautifully by Inez Ocon and I know women everywhere will relate in one way or another.
Miles is a man obsessed! The way he protected Veronica had me swooning amd cursing! Although his methods are definitely questionable, it was the only way he knew how. But seeing the way he stood by Veronica and helped her was amazing.
I literally felt the emotions right along with the characters, the anger, the pain, chemistry and the lust🫠
Although this is a slowburn it is more than worth it once the spice hits!
Thank you again to Inez Ocon for giving me the honor to read another of her books.

I recently read book 1, so I decided to dive into book 2. It's a series but still a standalone, sometimes I struggle with them.
Safe to say that wasn't the case her. We meet Veronica in book 1 along with Miles. Let me start off my saying, if you love a brat and love banter, this is for you. The back and forth between the characters was fun to read. Then there is Cam....what can I say about him.
This book covers a lot of issues, one of the biggest is body dysmorphia, which quite frankly is very on the nose with how many people see themselves. Inez wrote it in a way that I felt Veronicas pain. That's a great writer, especially for a new author. This book may not be for anyone, but there is no doubt that Inez is cementing herself in the likes of Rina Kent, Shantel and Penelope Douglas but with a latin twist.
I've read both books and read some reviews before investing my time. What I see no mention is Inez's LGBTQIA+ rep. Veronica is clearly Bisexual, and you have a same sex female couple in this one.
I can't want to read what comes next. But please check your trigger warnings.

Shattered Queens: Veronica completely pulled me in with the angst, the tension, and that addictive enemies-to-lovers energy, Miles and Veronica’s banter was sharp and intense and the chemistry between them was unreal, but what really got me was how emotional their story felt underneath all the heat, because Veronica is so clearly struggling, using self-destruction as a cry for help while the people around her fail to really see her pain, and then Miles comes in and sees past all the walls she’s built and gives her something she’s never really had before, someone firmly in her corner, and watching her slowly gain confidence and control over her own life was honestly beautiful, while Miles being this dark, unhinged but deeply devoted MMC made everything hit even harder, their relationship is messy and vulnerable and healing all at once, and even when I briefly put the book down I couldn’t stop thinking about it because once I picked it back up I was completely hooked again, by the end I genuinely wasn’t ready to let them go.

💙 ARC review 💙
4⭐️
i fully expected to enjoy this knowing how much i enjoyed the first book in the series and it absolutely did not disappoint!
this had everything i wanted from a dark romance and more! the slow burn was worth every second because the spice was top tier and it never took away from the actual plot.
i found it very easy to relate to Veronica when it came to her anxiety and body issues. it was extremely healing to watch Miles help her through this. there’s nothing i love more than watching a man stand by his woman, supporting her and helping her grow and this gave all of that.
overall i thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the plot and i adored how much Ian and Serena made an appearance! i look forward to whatever is coming next 👀
Thank you to Inez and her team for allowing me to receive another arc, i’m so grateful 🖤

I’m actually not okay after this one like forreal!
Shattered Queens: Veronica completely wrecked me in the best way. Veronica is THAT girl; she is strong but still so real, messy in a way that makes you feel everything with her. Her story isn’t pretty or easy, but that’s what made it hit so hard.
The emotions in this book in this book are insane. I felt the pain, the anger, the moments of strength, all of it. And the chemistry, don’t even get me started. It had me hooked, stressed, and kicking my feet all at the same time.
This wasn’t just a romance, it was about survival, healing, and finding power when everything feels broken. And honestly, I couldn’t put it down even when it hurt to read.
If you want something raw, emotional, and addictive this is it 100000%. I’m still thinking about it.

This book starts out giving ideas as to why the FMC suffers so badly from low self esteem inflicted by others. She is a curvy woman and is not comfortable in her own skin, even though others tell her she is beautiful and sexy. The FMC is reckless in her life and doesn’t seem to know which way to turn. There are multiple MMCs in the beginning, all doing their own thing, mostly running empires. There is really good banter in this story. Further into the story there are two main characters that we follow to the end. Both go through really good changes. Many, many lies are told or information omitted in this read. There are twists and turns and surprises that I didn’t see coming. This story was engaging and believable and I couldn’t put it down. There was a lot of drama and at times the story was pretty intense. I would definitely recommend this book.

I read this as an ARC (it's a great way to be introduced to new/different authors). This was a very enjoyable read. When I had to stop reading each day/night to sleep or work, I was thinking of the characters and couldn't wait to get back to reading. Even though the theme is on the darker side, it was written in a way that it didn't feel dark.. almost felt normal LOL .. that may say something about what I read :D anyway... I LOVE that even tho the MMC is morally grey, and the enemies-to-lovers trope was a big part of it - they weren't toxic - they way it was written was different, in a good way and brought some real life insecurities that most of us face in a way that was healing. I will be going back to the first book (this was a standalone) to read about the other couple in the story.

I absolutely devoured this book, I could not put it down all day.
I thoroughly loved everything about it! We first meet Veronica in book 1, Serena. She's the "disappointment", disaster little sister of the Kaydes and honestly, I loved going into her story, learning more about her, seeing her struggles and her utter strength with everything she's gone through. It was so nice after seeing how she was in Serena to now and I loved it.
I also adored Miles! Yes some of what he did and does may questionable but he protected Veronica in the only way he knew how with the skills he had and the possessiveness is, lowkey, so hot!
I hope there are more books to this series and I cannot wait to read them!

I absolutely devored this book in 2 days and I couldn't put it down I was hooked from the very first page until the end
After briefly meeting Veronica in the first book I was excited to read this book and know her story and you'd didn't disappoint
The slow Burn was worth it because let me tell you the spice had me melting
I adored the plot and to see Ian and Serena and everyone else in the book again
The character development of Veronica was beautifully written and she grew stronger as the book went on and with Miles literally in her corner with or without her knowledge.
I loved Miles even Tho some of what he did was questionable but I do love a morally grey man.
Thankyou for allowing me to be an arc reader I can't awat for more in the series

✨ARC REVIEW✨
I HAVE NO WORDS. THIS BOOK OWNS ME.
It starts like a typical dark romance and then suddenly turns into pure chaos in the best way possible.
Brother’s best friend, fuckboy energy, chaos girl vibes, slow burn, masked sex, sex club scenes, drugs, addictions, and a GOOD BOY SAVIOR.
I’m unwell.
This man lets her take full control, worships her like the queen she is, and honestly??? that alone deserves 10 stars.
And THEN this line:
“I open my mouth wider to take him deep. So deep that my eyes water. I don’t know where my tears end and the water begins.”
EXCUSE ME???? 😈😈😈
If you’re obsessed with filthy dark romance, porn books, and especially GOOD BOY vibes, READ THIS NOW.

After having read and really enjoyed the first book in this series I was waiting with bated breath for book 2 and .... Wow, just ...wow!
Dark, brutal, raw, and emotional. Totally unhinged characters, really unexpected plot twists, this book has it all.
Veronica, is troubled, haunted by her past, lacking in self worth and fed up with being the black sheep in the family. But no matter how hard she tries, trouble always seems to find her.
Miles, protective, obsessive, morally black, hides in the shadows watching over her for her family. A job.
Their chemistry funny, irritating, and seemingly slowburn but once it hits the boil...wow🔥
And now begins the long wait for the next in the series

My deepest thank you to Inez Ocon for letting me be an arc reader for this book!
This book was so amazing. Dual POVs & Enemies To Lovers is two of my favorite things. 💚
Our FMC is very feisty, always getting into trouble and to be honest. I love her. This entire story is pretty chaotic with Veronica's personality the way that it is. And? Shes reckless. Watching her character development evolve into something more, showing us the pain hidden under the chaos.
I absolutely love how Miles wants to protect Veronica. Plus, can we talk about the spicy scenes that happens between them?! 🥵 Had me pausing and blinking at the non existent audience in front of me. 🤣👏🏻
The development between them was beautifully executed and I absolutely adored the book and them.
Now I need to go back and read Serena. 🫢

Okay I just finished Veronica and it was absolutely as good as I thought it would be! One of my favorite tropes is the main trope so how can i resist?
I LOVED the eating disorder and body dismorphia representation in this book. It was thoughtfully written and aspects were something I think more woman than not will find relatable.
I also appreciated the acknowledgement for the Hispanic culture and the intricacies that go into hierarchy expectations and overall cultural dynamics.
Overall, I really loved this read and would recommend it if you like enemies to lovers, brothers best friend, and obsessive and possessive MMC.

I absolutely loved this book!!! The way that Veronica took control!! The “good boy” this and “be a good boy” that had me kicking my feet and smiling so hard!!!!! This was truly amazing!!! There were so many things that Veronica had to overcome to become the person she is today. She is a boss ass woman and she is better than ever with Miles in her life!!🤭 At first I didn’t realize Cam and Miles were the same person but when Miles came out and told Veronica that he was also Cam. I had to put my kindle down and debrief myself and connect the dots in my head, and yell at Miles because what the heck!!!BUTTTTTT, he did it to protect her. In the end Miles helped Veronica become the boss woman she needed to be!! Inez you are truly amazing and thank you for this opportunity again!!❤️❤️❤️

I want to start by saying that I really love Inez’s writing style—it always manages to hook me right from the beginning.
There’s something about the way she builds her world and characters that makes it so easy to get completely immersed in the story.
I found myself wanting to keep reading just to see how everything would unfold. The pacing felt engaging, and the emotional tension between Veronica, Miles and Cam ;-) kept things interesting throughout.
I loved Serena, and I think I might have loved Veronica even more. There’s just something about her that made me especially invested in her story and journey.
So so good!
