Chaos

Rate this book
From USA Today Bestselling Author, Eve Newton comes a dark Irish mafia romance.

He’s the ex-priest who traded prayers for violence.
I’m the woman who survived the hit meant to erase me.

Nuala

I’m the one who smiles politely, pours their drinks and pretends not to notice who they are. Until the place where I work turns into a bloodbath.

I survive on luck, instinct, and the kind of silence you learn in this world—the kind that keeps you breathing. But survival makes you a problem. Because I don’t walk away with blood on my dress.

I walk away with answers to questions the bosses are asking.

Logan O’Neill finds me before the next bullet does. He’s calm where others are cruel, quiet where others boast, until you realize silence is just another weapon. He doesn’t promise safety. He promises containment. Rules. Consequences. A truth he expects me to surrender, whether I want to or not.

I should hate him for the cage.

I should fear him more than the men hunting me.

With Logan, there is no rescue. Only judgment.

To survive, I’ll confess, or I’ll evolve.

In our world, love isn’t order.
It’s chaos.

Chaos is a dark and twisted romance. Please read trigger warnings before reading, listed in the Preface. Each book in the Savage Crown series is interconnected, but about a different couple and will end in a HEA.

AN Ex- Priest and a Bar??
What else could you ask for?
Oh right…SOO MUCH SPICE

Logan goes into a bar, a ex priest who’s looking to escape for the night so to speak, and he leaves with more than a buz. Nuala is our FMC and although she comes with some of her own dark past, she doesn’t hesitate to be the bada$$ that she is! She has her moments when you just wanna shake her into common sense but as the story begins to unfold you start to understand just why she is the way she is.
There is steam, there is SPICE and a plot that makes you reach for ice water and chocolate!!

For the record, if I knew a hot tattooed ex priest was waiting for me at a bar…. Life would be perfect!!

We met Logan in Sean’s book, briefly. Ex-priest who has returned to the family fold. Yeah, him. And boy, what a him he is. Not your average mafia guy, until he meets Nuala. Then all bets are off! Anyone harms even a hair on her head and be prepared to be … dealt with. Poor Nuala doesn’t know quite what to make of Logan. She was a total innocent, just working behind a bar, struggling to make ends meet, until her world came crashing down in a hail of bullets. Now she’s thrown in the deep end of the criminal underworld and having to adapt fast!
A really gripping read.

If you have read book one and two, this is basically the very same book except Logan was a priest and Nuala worked in bar.... otherwise it's book one / two scrambled and made into a third book with a few changes.

These books had such potential but I can't read another of the very same book.
-Couple meets and falls for each other within days time span... tick
-overprotective male written the very same as the other two books .. tick
-female who didn't want anything to do with the male lead for possibly all of 5 minutes but then changes her mind and becomes inseparable without any questions... tick
-let's get married within a week ... tick
-throw in a snipper for good measure... tick

Honestly you can skim this book after chapter four if you have read the other two

Chaos opens with Logan, who immediately stands apart from his cousins, Sean and Liam. He carries restraint, guilt, and violence in equal measure, and watching those forces collide gives the book its edge.

Nuala is entirely outside the mafia world. She is pulled into danger by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Yet she remains grounded, stands up for herself, and refuses to lose her autonomy even as everything around her escalates.

Logan’s protectiveness emerges early, but it never feels performative. His past as a priest continues to shape him, and through his connection with Nuala, he begins to reconcile the choices that led him here. Nuala doesn’t “save” him, but her presence allows him to find clarity where there was once inner conflict.

What works best is how care is handled between them. Nuala sometimes assumes his concern is pity, but his actions show he sees her strength. Logan is still controlling, but he gives her space, letting her make her own decisions and refusing to cage her in a life she didn’t choose.

As the third book in the series, Chaos deepens the world while keeping tension and pacing sharp. The romance feels grounded in choice, and Aran’s quiet presence hints at stories to come. I’m excited to see his story unfold.

I did understand Nuala, but there isn't much else to the story that grabs me. There is little character development. The writing is superficial and even corny at times. These men ALWAYS fall hard within minutes of seeing or even speaking with the women but we never know WHY.

"In less than forty-eight hours, Nuala has become the center of my world."

Then she pulls a gun on Connor, the dangerous head of the Mafia family, to get back the book that isn't even hers. What a dumb thing to do. Why? What would she even do with it? By the way, for being the baddest Mafia head in Dublin, Connor really has no clue what is going on in his city.

“I don’t give a fuck who you are,” she spits out. “Drop the book and slide it over the counter to me.”

This story is boring. He hasn't been in the Mafia for 10 years but steps back in as if he never left. He hasn't had sex in 10 years. The sex is far from explicit. He decides he is keeping her, simple as that. She is defiant and hates his possessiveness until they get shot at.

Sean's story is my favorite. I DNF #1. I tried but couldn't finish this one either; DNF.

An ex priest walks into a bar…….

Logan, Logan, Logan. He is the steamiest ex-priest I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. Nuala is our FMC, she is interesting... I understand her view point and I know that the reason she is like she is, is because she is just tired of all the things. And I get it. But there were so many times I just wanted to smack her upside the head, BUT that is the mark of a good character, when they make you want to reach into the book and shake her. Irish mafia books are always a favorite of mine, and this book had you guessing and not sure until the very end. I was sucked into this book and did not want to put it down until the end. Eve really outdid herself on this one!

Irish mafia romance pulls no punches- just like Logan, who I absolutely adore! Ex- Priest lost and just going about his day to day as he feels is expected. Until….he meets a girl . Nuala, lead female character, now she got on my nerves. However, she was just tired of being walked all over all the time, so I get it, it was needed for the story, but man, I wanted to punch her in the face at times. This book had you guessing till the end, romance, violence, steamy scenes and it was a joy to read! Bravo!!

Where is my fan when I need it? This book was SPICY!!! It was filled with possessiveness, obsession and adoration. I need to go to confessional after reading this! I liked how Nuala wasn't an instant baddie, she grew into one but stayed as innocent as she could. Logan had me in all my feelings. The way his story evolved was sad and heart felt. The author made it seem so realistic, which was great. I really enjoyed this third installment in this interconnected world. Wow...just wow! Phenomenal job Eve! Can't wait to read Aran's story next!

P.S. Connor is DADDY!! (Sorry not sorry)

Eve knocked it out of the park with her Irish Mafia Romance featuring Logan and Nuala. Logan's layers were deep and Nuala has a hard time trusting. I loved the initial spark between the two when they first met. This book had danger that kept you on your toes, sprinkled in with humor and so much chemistry!!! I love how Nuala gave as good as she got (especially with Logan's Uncle!)). The only regret you will have after reading this... is that it is finished! 😊 Loved them!

This is every single thing I needed to read in an ex-priest mafia romance

Nuala was absolutely perfect for Logan. She got him, totally, she understood the way he thinks, he works, he loves. And Logan? She was always his to protect, his to watch over, his to love.

They walked into hell and came out in love and holding hands. Now that's the perfect HEA

Look I'm not good with words. Just read it and see for yourself

An ex priest walks into a bar……

And walks out with a woman he can’t leave behind.

Chaos is the third book of the Savage Crown Irish mafia series. It follows Logan, an ex priest who is now working for his Mafia leader uncle and Nuala a waitress, who was at the wrong place at the wrong time. With bad guys now after her, Logan will do anything to protect her.

Chaos is a spicy, dual POV dark romance.

I loved Nuala and Logans story. Each of these books gives us a new couple and I am so here for it. I love mafia dark themed romance and this book gives you that and so much more. It's packed full of action and mystery that just has me turning the pages to see what comes next. I devoured it in one sitting. Wonderful characters and a great world to get sucked into.

Chaos

I think this is my favorite so far of this shared world. Logan is different from the others and Nuala is not from this world, just wrong place wrong time. And yet, they somehow find a way that works for them. It's hard to say without saying to much, but I enjoyed reading this story

I absolutely love Logan and Nuala. There was no denying the spark and chemistry between them. Logan is incredibly protective and Nuala came into her own quickly for a world she was not a part of. These two have been my favorite couple of the Savage Crown series.

I didn’t know I’d like a book about the Irish mafia so much but here I am! I think it’s my fave now! I loved the dynamic between characters and the FMC was so relate-able to me, in her choices and actions given her situation. Highly recommend!

3.5 - didn’t love it, didn’t hate it but got bored towards the end. actually skimmed the last like 15%. The MMC being an ex priest was an interesting touch and i liked how they met. just wasn’t really for me though

-ex priest x waitress
-dark irish mafia
-he falls first
-protective/possessive

Interesting take on the former priest theme. I enjoyed the drama and action of this story. Both the FMC & MMC are likable. Thank goodness the FMC wasn’t incessantly whiny and self deprecating. I thought there was a good Story to Spice ratio.

I read & loved both of Sean and Liams books so I was curious to see where Logans book would lead.

Logan has a crisis of faith in this book as well as misplaced guilt which led him back into the folds of his dangerous family and the family business. Whereas Nualas life is dragged into the same world by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Both her and Logan became entangled in others lives. All of which made for one hell book full of great plot twists and turns. Add to that the off of the charts heat between both of them that all came together to make for a brilliant read. A cracking addition to this series and I loved reading it.
