His Brutal Vow

Rate this book
From USA Today Bestselling Author, Eve Newton comes a dark Bratva mafia romance.

I refuse to be owned. He refuses to let me walk.

My father dies, and within hours, my life is seized. My accounts are frozen, locks have been changed, and my freedom has been reduced to a set of terms I never agreed to.

It starts with a ledger he kept hidden. Favours. Promises. Names.

Mine sits at the top.

The man who comes to collect is Bratva-bred, London-polished, violence tucked beneath manners. Roman Voronov doesn’t want cash. He wants what my father bartered for my protection. He calls it a vow.

He never lays a hand on me without permission. But anyone else who tries won’t keep theirs.

Trapped in his orbit, I claw for control while he tightens the cage and calls it safety. But the deeper I dig into my father’s secrets, the more I realise this isn’t just about me, and the ledger isn’t just leverage.

Everyone wants it. Everyone will bleed for it.

If I want out, I may have to burn the only thing keeping us alive.

His Brutal Vow is a dark and twisted romance. Please read trigger warnings before reading, listed in the Preface. Each book in the London Bratva series is interconnected, but about a different couple and will end in a HEA.

Mafia romance is like breathing air at this point! It’s either a really good book that sucks you in instantly or it falls flat before chapter 1 ends.
This is not that case, nor is it ever when it comes to the Queen Eves writing.
Zoya is Unaware of the shadows thay have watched her. Or in this case the shadow that is watched her. Romans obsession with her boarders on suffocating, but oh in the best way. He would burn down the world for making her stub her toe if he felt it necessary, and once Zoya realizes just how far his love will reach for her, she would do the same.
Together they are a Bratva Prince and Princess who will make those beneath them quiver with fear ever time their name is mentioned. The motherland should be proud.
As always, out of the ashes a Phoenix will always rise again! And that’s exactly what she did!!

His Brutal Vow

A vow between families, a ledger full of secrets, what could go wrong?
Zoya is just living her princess lifestyle away from darker side of things until one day when everything changed. Roman has been obsessed since the vow was made, even if he didn't act, until now.
This book is fast-paced, full of heat and family secrets. Enjoyed it. It has a housekeeper that I want in my life, Katya is my spirit animal

Simply an amazing mafia dark romance book. I was sucked in all the way till the end with this story. Definitely one of those books once you start you are not putting down till the end. Loved reading about Zoya and Roman. Omg the storyline itself was mind blowing. Add in the chemistry with the characters. Gave me all my feels. Fast paced with secrets and let’s not forget steam. Makes me start counting down till the next book. Highly recommend reading.

After inhaling the Savage Crown series (Irish Mafia) and loving that I was dying to sink my teeth into the London Bratva books. My word did this book not disappoint!

Zoya's world is turned upside down and she was left to rely on an unlikely source - Roman. Only Zoya isn't the pampered mafia princess that others expect her to be. Which she proved as the book progressed. It also gave Zoya and Roman an interesting dynamic especially with trust being a major factor between them.

Secrets, lies and differing agendas all tied into some great plots. As well as some smoking hot steamy scenarios too. An outstanding start to this series.

I’m so over mafia books where within 2 days they are obsessed and so in love and will burn the world down if someone so much at looks at her.

Dnf 60% in. I enjoyed it until she gave in to him so quickly and then they acted like that code could only be figured out by her.

His Brutal Vow pulled me in right from the start. The opening is strong and fast-paced, and it immediately sets the tone for the rest of the story.

One of my favorite parts is how Roman saves Zoya after her father’s death in true bratva fashion. It’s brutal, calculated, and protective all at once, which tells you exactly what kind of man Roman is. He’s intense, dangerous, and fiercely loyal.

Zoya isn’t your typical Pakhan’s daughter. Yes, she likes the finer things in life, but she’s also smart, self-aware, and has an actual personality. I really appreciated that she isn’t written as helpless or naïve.

The dynamic between Roman and Zoya was a standout for me. Roman is very protective, but not controlling. I loved that he respects Zoya’s choices and doesn’t get upset when she doesn’t tell him everything immediately. It makes their relationship feel more genuine.

I also liked Katya from the beginning, especially because she was kind to Zoya when she had no one. The twist about Zoya’s father planning everything, including sending Katya to protect her and creating a vow through Roman, genuinely surprised me.

Overall, His Brutal Vow has a great mix of romance, danger, and emotional depth. The characters, the relationship development, and the twist all kept me hooked.

I would give this so many more stars if I could but alas stupid apps don't let me. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨All the st

Zoya and Roman suck you in and don't let you leave.... This is London Bratva and oh my it packs as much punch as Kostya Tszyu.
We see how possessive Roman is before Zoya has any idea. We see how long he's been obsessed with her and I love that. He doesn't give two Fs that he is that way, it's just the way he is. He might be the heir to his Pakhans dynasty - and he doesn't take that lightly - but he is also Zoya's man and he steps up to the plate when she needs him to, while letting her shine and do her thing when she needs to. Seriously the world needs more Romans in this world... Ok with maybe a teeny tiny bit less of the claret liquid being spilled..... Oh who am I kidding Roman is perfect for his Bratva Princess and she's perfect for her Bratva Prince. Together they will take over London and show the Motherland what they're made of!

A pulse-pounding Bratva romance set against the moody backdrop of London, this story delivers a deliciously dark “touch her and die” energy from the MMC that never lets up. Roman, the perfect storm of danger and devotion, especially when it comes to protecting the strong, resilient Zoya, who refuses to be anyone’s pawn. Their chemistry crackles with tension, power, and vulnerability, balancing brutal mafia stakes with deeply emotional moments. If you love possessive antiheroes, high danger, and a heroine who can hold her own, this one hits the mark. I am excited for this series and can’t wait for the next book!

Zoya is a mafia princess when her father is killed and she becomes a target. She had no idea Roman Voronov has been watching, waiting and relishing in the fact that she will be in his home, under his care and his. He won't touch her unless she asks though. Zoya though is even more of a surprise then he thought, is it a way to lure him in or could it be she is his perfect match.

There are layers and layers to this one. Page turning suspense and the cat and mouse between Zoya and Roman sizzles through out each page. Fantastic start to series.

First I must say that I love that we get new couples with each book in a shared world. I love mafia stories and how we get strong females out of them. Zoya and Romans story is another hit. I absolutely love the touch her and die vibes and the mystery uncovering her past. Zoya learns a lot of thinhs about the ledger her father left and the mystery around it kept me reading. Loved Roman and his possessiveness. Also very much love consent aspect tied in. Another great addition to this series.

Who doesn’t love a good mafia romance? And this one is just … yeah.
We have Zoya, bratva princess, and Roman, heir to Voronov bratva and a lawyer. Interesting mix. them learning to trust each other, with Zoya eventually realising that Roman isn’t all that bad, actually, and then relying on each other to get stuff done is very back and forth. Roman just won’t give up. Zoya is HIS. She just needs to get on the same page.
A fantastic book.

Wow. This book kicked off right from the beginning and held its pace until the end. Zoya is awesome. She is fierce, takes no crap, and knows who she is. Roman is the morally grey man we love to read about. He obsession personified, and wow, does it make for a good story. When Zoya's father is killed, her life goes into a tailspin. She will have to learn who to trust, and who to end. This was fast paced and well written. I'm definitely looking forward to reading book 2!!

I kinda liked this one until around 70% when they carved each others names into their skin. I mean who does that and then just goes about their daily routine? They needed to attend her father’s funeral the next day in front of the entire London Bravta- all while sporting fresh knife wounds - down her spine and across his hip. Nope.

I should have stuck with my instincts and aborted when Zoya was traipsing around London in white yoga pants and a hot pink sports bra. 🙄

Spoiled

I couldn't really get into the story because the main character seemed super immature. Like, shouldn't she have a job by now? Her dad probably should've shown her the ropes of the family business.

She was such a handful and always wanted things done her way. When she dropped that line about "or outrank you," it totally felt like she was trying to take a dig at him. Honestly, she's got nothing going for her without him.

This was intriguing from the start and I am still speechless after reading this. Roman gained my love from page one. Zoya was such a brat but I loved it and her character growth. Nothing but respect for her! I can't wait to see more from this world! I need more of these two though!

PS I need a book about someone... IYKYK!

I was immediately drawn to the cover and its captivating color, which led me to check the blurb and ultimately read story. Zoya and Roman are the epitome of perfectly imperfect, and I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamics of their world and their journey. This is not a light read; it contains some deeply dark moments that I found compelling. A phenomenal read.

I am so loving this mafia romance. This is bratva romance at it's best and let me tell you I want Roamn to come stalk me now! I absolutely loved it and Zoya coming into her own and be the woman she is meant to be? Chef's kiss and cherry on top. High steam, mind blowing characters and the romance you need. Love it!

I like short and punchy sentences that further emphasize the story. Here they were in the right places. Very nicely written book. Good, strong story and excellently written characters. For me, one of the very good mafia romances.

What more could you ask for. I was completely satisfied. It was a very fast read but I still enjoyed it.

Liked the book, I thought it was just the right length for the story. I did think the parts that they were building up to, were very anticlimactic. Which was kind of a bummer. Thought it was a typical mafia story. Also I’m not sure why but I thought it was going to be non stop smut. There was actually a pretty good story/plot.

I had to give it a 4

I really enjoyed this book. The overview seems a bit misleading, as it made this book sound so much more exciting than it is, or to what I am use to. It's short sweet and gets the job done as many Bratva books do. I am super happy with the fact that the FMC takes over a pahkan because not many women get that title. A good read. Wish there was more!

Two power houses

An arranged marriage, five years ago, a plot and a ledger, unexpected, all to be worked out.
Her father kept everything close to his chest, wishing he had shared his plan, his enemies and betrayal but the scheming had it all covered.
Happy ending though an abrupt conclusion.

A vow five years in the making. One fatal shot, sets everything in motion. A pampered Bratva Princess, who is left clues by her father on how to survive and a Bratva heir, who will make sure that she does.

His Brutal Vow is spicy and duel POV.

3 ⭐️ is generous! I feel like the book started right in the middle of the story.
Zoya seemed like she was going to be a total bad ass but she fell like a house of cards within minutes.
The writing style really through me. I’m going to give book 2 a go, hopefully it’s better.

Very Spicy with lots of violence

I don’t read a lot of possessive bratva romance but every once in a while I need the spice. This was a very well written with an extremely possessive hero and a strong heroine. Met my craving perfectly.
