Vixen Ignited was such a fun and refreshing read. I absolutely loved seeing mature characters front and centre — it made the story feel confident, bold, and empowering.

Denise is rediscovering her sexuality through a forbidden workplace romance with her boss, John, and I loved watching her go after exactly what she wants, unapologetically and without worrying too much about the consequences. Her journey of sexual reawakening was engaging and empowering. John was equally enjoyable — attentive, caring, and genuinely romantic, while also discovering new sides of himself along the way.

This book explores BDSM, Dom/Sub dynamics, kink, sexual rediscovery, and workplace romance, and the spice level was 🔥🔥🔥. It’s a spicy little novella that delivers heat while still giving you characters to root for.

I flew through this one and can’t wait to see where Jordyn Haart takes this story next 😁

I loved everything about this book! The way I was so easily able to get sucked into the storyline was amazing. This is a book with BDSM themes and as someone who has been in the lifestyle for at least 13 years, the book is written in a realistic way. John is a retired NFL player who's spent most of his life with the same woman, Now on his own for the first time he crosses paths with an old flame who brings forward some very erotic interest. One weekend could change both of their lives. I read this book in less than 12 hours. Now all I want is book 2 the two characters will be haunting my mind until the author gives me more of their journey!

A SECOND CHANCE OFFICE ROMANCE

John and Denise. There has always been a spark between them but they were promised to another. Now that they are free the heated chemistry is getting hotter. Throw in BDSM play and modeling outfits doesnt help them to keep their hands to themselves. Very enjoyable read. Great chemistry and a chaotic flow of events.

This was a very spicy and short BDSM filled novella. It held all the heat and intensity that I would expect from a short read this like. I loved the quick storyline and the fact that it was about two middle aged characters, I loved that even more. It just proves that no matter your age, get your kink on 😉

This was a DNF for me. Even being a novella, I found myself bored and skipping ahead towards the middle. And then decided to DNF because it is called a BDSM story but there were absolutely no conversations about safe words or limits. Not good representation of a safe dynamic.

Vixen Ignited is a gripping, emotionally charged read that blends tension, vulnerability, and quiet strength into a story that keeps you turning pages without realizing how deep you’re in.

The main character is layered and compelling, carrying a sense of resilience that feels earned rather than forced. The pacing is steady and immersive, balancing introspective moments with scenes that crackle with intensity. What really stands out is the atmosphere — there’s an underlying ache throughout the story that makes even the quieter moments feel heavy with meaning.

The writing style is smooth and easy to sink into, and the emotional beats land naturally without feeling rushed. It’s the kind of book that doesn’t rely on shock value, but instead pulls you in with feeling, growth, and tension that simmers beneath the surface

I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is a quick MF office romance read with boss and co-worker relationship exploring the BDSM world with each other in private. Definitely offers the spice but check the triggers. I enjoyed it going right into the spice page 2, not much on deep plot, didn’t like that their story didn’t finish and I have to wait until book 2, lol.

First I'd like to thank the author for the opportunity to be an ARC for this book.

This was a slow burn with spice and plot. I was interested from the first page and finished it in one sitting. There was a good amount of spice but I loved that it didnt take away from the plot. I will definitely be recommending this book to my romance girlies.

The only reason this was not a 5 star for me, is due to it being in third person. As I do enjoy some writing like that, I feel like this book would have been taken to another level had it been written as first person with dual point of views.

How many of us quietly tuck away a piece of ourselves, especially a piece as vulnerable as our sexuality, out of fear of judgment or rejection? Denise certainly did. After a painful experience in college, she packed up her desires and chose the safety of a stable, predictable life instead. What makes her journey so compelling is that she isn’t some wide-eyed ingénue discovering herself for the first time. She’s a seasoned executive, a divorced mother of two, a woman who has built a life and a career and yet still finds parts of herself waiting to be reclaimed. I loved that both protagonists were older. Their connection carries the weight of lived experience, regret, restraint, and long-simmering attraction. This isn’t a reckless fling or a case of sowing wild oats. Yes, there’s a deliciously forbidden edge to their workplace romance, John is her boss, after all, but the story never leans on that alone. Instead, it gives us something richer. John is romantic, attentive, and unexpectedly tender. He isn’t just a powerful executive; he’s patient, perceptive, and deeply attuned to Denise. And thankfully, this is not instalove. John and Denise have worked together for six years. The attraction may have always hummed beneath the surface, but timing and circumstance kept it in check – until now. Now that they’re both free, John’s acquisition of a lingerie chain provides the perfect pretext to draw Denise closer, offering her the chance to head the new department. But, “Positions are earned, Denise, one demonstration at a time” he tells her, setting the stage for a fashion show that is as charged as it is unforgettable. Let the games begin, indeed. John is clearly a Dominant who thrives in a D/s dynamic, though he hasn’t had much opportunity to fully explore that side of himself. Still, he’s a natural. What makes him so compelling is his restraint. He takes his time, savoring the build-up and leaving Denise deliciously aching, which had me groaning in quiet sympathy. There’s a confidence in his control, but also a care that never wavers. Most breathtaking of all is Denise’s journey back to herself. Watching her slowly let go, learning to trust John enough to embrace the submissive side she buried years ago, is both sensual and deeply emotional. What begins as a weekend of indulgence—two adults giving themselves permission to want—feels like the start of something far more meaningful. And that final text from John? It promises that this is only the beginning of even more delicious things to come.

Captivating, Intense, and Exquisitely Written—A Steamy Masterpiece with Haart

Jordyn Haart’s Vixen Ignited is an electrifying blend of scorching passion and emotional depth. This isn’t just another steamy romance—it’s a fantastic showcase in writing erotica that is as emotionally intelligent as it is intensely sensual. From the very first chapter, I was completely absorbed by the magnetic dynamic between the characters and the author’s lush, immersive prose.

Haart’s prose is a character in its own right: vivid, lyrical, and unflinchingly sensual. In one breathtaking scene, the author writes with such poetic precision that the tension is both literary and deeply physical:
She drew it out, her fingers circling teasingly at first, denying the full pressure her body craved… Images and imagined commands came quickly. She came explosively… It felt like pure joy.

The push and pull of power, trust, and vulnerability between the characters is intoxicating. In one of the book’s many electrically charged encounters, the push-pull of control and surrender is masterfully rendered:
“No, sweet girl,” he said, his tone warm and teasing. “Let’s not rush. It’s so much better if you wait…” His hand moved lower, sliding over lace, feeling the heat of her through the fabric, a graze so light it made her tremble.

What truly sets Vixen Ignited apart is how Haart balances raw, passionate scenes with genuine emotional stakes. The dialogue is sharp and believable, the characters are fleshed out and relatable, and the pacing is flawless. Even in the most intense moments, the connection between the characters remains authentic and deeply felt.

A handful of minor typos appear in later chapters, but they’re a minor distraction in what is otherwise an exquisitely crafted story. These small oversights don’t detract from the book’s 5-star impact.

If you’re looking for a smart, steamy, and emotionally intelligent romance that doesn’t shy away from heat or heart, Vixen Ignited is an absolute must-read. Jordyn Haart has written a book that’s not just about physical passion, but about intimacy, trust, and the kind of chemistry that lingers well after you’ve finished reading.

Vixen Ignited by Jordyn Haart is a powerful and sensual romance that proves desire does not have an expiration date. This story beautifully explores midlife rediscovery, personal agency, and the courage it takes to embrace the parts of yourself you once felt forced to hide. From the very beginning, the book balances emotional depth with undeniable chemistry.

Denise is a compelling and relatable FMC. As a divorced woman in her early forties and a mother of two, she has spent years prioritizing responsibility, stability, and survival over her own wants. Past experiences taught her to suppress her submissive desires, leaving her disconnected from an important part of herself. Watching her slowly reclaim that side of her identity was both empowering and refreshing.

John is equally captivating. As Denise’s boss, his quiet dominance and reserved confidence create a magnetic pull that feels natural rather than forced. His dominance is balanced with a subtle shyness that adds depth to his character and makes their connection feel authentic. Their dynamic unfolds gradually, rooted in trust, mutual respect, and shared ambition as they navigate both professional competition and personal desire.

One of the strongest aspects of this story is how realistically Denise struggles to balance her role as a mother, a driven professional, and a woman with needs of her own. The workplace setting adds tension and stakes without overshadowing the emotional journey, and the lingerie business backdrop fits perfectly with the themes of confidence and self expression.

The story ends on a slight cliffhanger that leaves you eager for more, clearly setting the stage for the next installment, Vixen Aflame. Rather than feeling abrupt, it feels intentional and exciting.

Overall, Vixen Ignited is a confident, sexy, and affirming romance that celebrates growth, vulnerability, and desire at any stage of life. It is a reminder that embracing who you are can be both freeing and powerful.

This dark romance definitely lives up to its promise when it comes to spice. There’s a lot of heat throughout the book, and if you’re looking for a bold, explicit, and intense read, this one certainly delivers on that front.
However, while the chemistry and tension are present, some of the darker elements sometimes feel included more for shock value than for deeper narrative purpose. The spice is frequent and intense, but it doesn’t always feel fully grounded in the characters’ emotional development or backstory. At times, I found myself wishing for more context—more insight into why certain dynamics existed or how they connected to the characters’ internal struggles.
That said, it’s still an engaging read. The pacing keeps you turning the pages, and there’s never a dull moment. The author clearly isn’t afraid to lean into darker themes, and for readers who primarily want a high-heat romance with a dark edge, this will likely hit the mark.
Overall, it’s a good, spicy read with strong intensity, even if it occasionally feels like it lacks a bit of emotional depth or underlying purpose. If you enjoy dark romance and don’t mind a plot that sometimes takes a backseat to the heat, this book is worth checking out.

This story has a bold energy to it right from the start. The tone feels confident and a little rebellious, which fits perfectly with the title and the overall vibe of the book. There’s a sense of a character stepping into their power, and that journey makes the story really engaging.

What stood out to me most was the fiery personality woven throughout the narrative. The main character isn’t afraid to push boundaries or challenge expectations, and that creates some really compelling moments as the story unfolds.

The pacing keeps things moving, and there’s a strong sense of momentum that makes it easy to keep reading.

For me, this lands at 4 ⭐ because while I enjoyed the energy and the character growth, I would have loved a bit more depth in a few moments to make the emotional impact even stronger.

Still, it’s a confident and entertaining read.

This is a 4 ⭐ for me because:

• The main character had a strong, fiery presence
• The story carried a bold, empowering tone
• The pacing kept the momentum going
• The character journey was engaging

Fiery. Bold. Empowering.

Read this book if you like:

• strong, confident female leads
• stories about stepping into personal power
• bold and emotionally driven narratives
• character-focused journeys

Oh, my, a deliciously erotic read.

I absolutely loved this book about a forty something year old woman's rediscovery of her more carnal side. After marriage, kids, and a Divorce Denise is a successful, driven executive. When a different kind of opportunity presents itself when her handsome ex-football player boss offers her an unexpected chance to explore her inner submissive. Wow, these are complex and I believe very realistic characters who will find in each other a kindred spirit in their longings for an unconventional relationship. A workplace romance with BDSM, a Dom/sub dynamic, and other sexual kinks with plenty of steam. I think this is a must-read novella, and I can't wait for the next book in this trilogy.

The book opens with some workplace drama/fantasy romance, speeds right into the spice and stays there. It's short on story and heavy on the character's foray into BDSM. A little awkward considering there really isn't a build of any type of relationship between them beforehand. I will give credit though that the author does include a lot of emphasis on consent and safe words, and the respect for both during their scenes.

*Short spicy novella with a huge emphasis on BDSM. Definitely check the triggers before reading if you feel you need to.*

Oh wowwwwwser, that was 🔥🌶️😳 Denise, promoted at work & John, her boss find themselves with … similar interests in the old bedroom 👀 one who likes control & one who likes to controlled - ideal times 🙈

This was on the short side, and felt like a snapshot of a larger story as it all seemed to take place over just a few days so seeing there is a sequel makes sense!

Very detailed descriptions & James Bond-y in its descriptions of the mansion/helicopter rides… you know how it goes 😂 for adult eyes only! 👀

Boy, was this a surprising Rollercoaster where I never knew where it was going and where it would end. This keeps you on the edge of your seat for until the very last word. Denise's confidence and her character seems realistic. I was so engrossed in the story that I almost forgot about the promotion. I see that this is a trilogy and I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens next. There's no way that these two can stay secluded in their bubble. My favorite scene was the shopping spree. It almost felt romantic. The story, the character, and the pace is intense all the way.

I enjoyed reading this spicy, workplace romance story. This is a shorter story where the author did a great job packing this story full of romance from beginning to end. This is a newer author for me and I enjoyed their writing style as well as their use of details. This is a story where the spice level is up and one that you don't want to miss. I found this story to be well written and fast paced, A hard to put down story and one I highly recommend. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author.

A new business purchase by John needs someone to take over the marketing and design end for the luxury lingerie chain. Denise works for John, and he's promoting her to take over this new company. Now, the fun begins with a shopping trip for Denise to check out the line, so they can both learn about the lingerie. He sends Denise to one of the stores to purchase her favorites so they both can learn the BDSM side of lingerie. Boy - boy - do they learn and explore. This book 1 of a trilogy - I really can't wait for book 2! Great story telling - no errors like in other books - just an awesome read.

This is a delightful short story around a middle age intense erotic adventure for two successful people who find their interests converge in submission and domination.

Space is devoted to developing the characters of Denise and John so that you are really interested in them rather than just leaping into sexual activity. When this does take place it is dealt with sensitively.

Initially I felt like this jumped into the 'action' too fast without a lot of strong character development but as the book proceeds you learn a little more backstory. Ultimately I'd say character development isn't the #1 reason why you might read a book like this. It was a very quick read that kept the story moving and it was HOT!

I liked the idea of a mature couple finally able to indulge in a relationship. These two are able to test their boundaries and explore. John has read about BDSM, yet hasn’t been able to explore until Denise. In one night, he not only explores but also tries just about everything. It was a little too rushed for me.

I read and reviewed a copy of this book.
