For Raven and her family, it's a fresh start in the city of Bergen in Norway, working together in their legitimate security business in an attempt to leave behind their criminal pasts.
The peace is shattered by the arrival of The Wolf, a very talented assassin and estranged relative who still burns for revenge against One Eye, head of the family, after a hit they were on together went terribly wrong. The Wolf is wily and pitiless and will not stop until he's made them all suffer.
Raven is determined to prevent him from hurting her beloved father but not even her considerable skills may be enough to save One Eye from the vengeance of one of Norway's fiercest mercenaries and, worst of all, a member of her own beloved family.
Please note, this book is part of a series and is not a stand alone novel.

Author of over seventy books so far. Living on the beautiful west coast of Scotland with my husband, twin daughters and a cat called Mavis, although I am originally from Lancashire in the north of England.
My tastes in all things are eclectic, which extends to my writing. Although I primarily write crime books - especially gangland thrillers - I also write gothic historical romance and fantasy. I publish on Amazon Kindle and some of my novels are available in paperback too. I also have a traditional publishing contract with Boldwood Books.
When I'm not writing - which isn't very often - I enjoy reading Daphne Du Maurier, Edgar Allan Poe, Shirley Jackson, MR James and the Brontes, among many others. I also enjoy swimming, walking and spending time with my family.
I read this in 1 afternoon and must admit I rather enjoyed it. They are a rather violent family but I admire the lengths that they were willing to go to, especially for Raven. I wonder what's next for Raven and Damon not to mention One-eye and the gorgeous Luke 😊
This is the 71st Heather Atkinson book I've read. This one is set in Norway with the family determined to lead an honest life with a legitimate business. Of course it doesn't go to plan, and with an action packed story this book was hard to put down, however it was a flowing story and a great read. I love Heather's books!
Like all of Heather Atkinsons book this was.not disappointing in fact I think it was one of her best and had to. read it all at once could not put it down loved it a brilliant story cannot wait for the next book
