The Whitley Brothers #7

Amando Al CEO (Los Hermanos Whitley)

Rate this book

One thing you should know about me as a reader: if Layla Hagen is writing about billionaire brothers, I’m definitely reading it! This is the seventh book in the Whitley Brothers series, and I’ve loved every one of them. (Side note: I would have screamed if Leo and Tory had bumped into one of the Leblanc brothers while in New Orleans!)

While I personally didn’t feel a strong chemistry between Leo and Tory, I still really enjoyed their journey from friends to lovers. Leo’s unwavering support for Tory, his willingness to help her with anything without hesitation, was heartwarming. That said, I wish we had seen a bit more of Leo’s life outside of Tory, and it would have been great if Tory had spent more time hanging out with the other girls—more than just the one instance.

Of course, the true stars of this series are the brothers’ banter when they all get together and gossip, not to mention Grandma Jeannie meddling and sharing everyone’s secrets!

We love this series it is awesome and the characters are fantastic. This time around it was Leo and Tory's turn this story was a roller coaster ride full of emotions full of heartache and pain as well as awesome friendships

You will love the spice/ romance of their beautiful chemistry and witty banter between friends/lovers. We enjoyed everything about this story and found ourselves grinning and smiling throughout. Ms. Hagen is becoming one of our go-to authors for sure her characters are awesome and she never fails to make us grin, and laugh out loud, tug on our heartstrings full of banter, love, and chemistry, and never fails to make us fall in love with her characters. This was another page-turner that we thoroughly loved from cover to cover.

5 Star Review Loving The CEO (The Whitley Brothers #7) by Layla Hagen

Ebook/Audio review:
Having enjoyed the previous books in this series I couldn’t wait to jump into Loving The CEO which was a great addition to the series. This is Leo Whitley and Tory’s friends to lovers story and it was well written and entertaining.

Imagine finding out on your wedding day that the man you are about to marry has been cheating on you. That’s the position that Tory finds herself in.

When Leo offers up his place to escape to she accepts not knowing that decision could change their friendship forever.

I loved how supportive Leo was and I I enjoyed watching their relationship change.

I love Ms. Hagen’s style of writing and know when I pick up one of her books that it will be well written story, with characters who are engaging and more often than not will have me laughing out loud at some point.

Connor Crais and Erin Mallon did a wonderful job with their narration. Not only are they easy to listen to but they brought the story and characters to life with their performances. I was riveted to the story as I listened in almost one go.

This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Leo and Tory’s journey.
When Tory finds out that her fiancée has been cheating on her on her wedding day, her best friend Leo is there to whisk her away to his home in Boston, for her to regroup. When Leo offers to be Tory’s dating coach so she can get back in the game, will this backfire on them?
This is a well written easy to read, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, heartbreak, friends / roommates / lovers, undeniable chemistry, romance, humor, witty banter, and unconditional love, which leads to a spicy, and entertaining, compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I was looking forward to this next book and when I finally was able to start it I was very eager. Unfortunately within the first couple chapters I noticed I wasn’t really feeling this one. I didn’t even immediately read it shortly after I finished my last book. I wound up reading it a day later than the date listed. To me, this book felt fast and sudden. Even though Leo and Tory knew each other for a long time, I wished I would have gotten a glimpse into when they first meet. I would have loved to read Leo’s first thoughts of her and the impression he felt. I understand back then they wouldn’t have even started a relationship. For one, Tory was taken and as Leo said in this book, he doesn’t mess with women who are taken. I respect that and understand why this author didn’t entertain them even getting together but it would have been nice to have a few flashback moments in this story. I just felt like one minute I was reading about Tory’s wedding and the next minute, Leo is whisking her off to Boston to live with him and start over. There wasn’t any hesitation on getting together, only briefly when Leo asked if they wanted to “fake date” for a bit to help her get her confidence back. I guess I don’t understand this “fake dating” business. You either are in or you’re out and technically you are dating, it’s just a weird way of starting something without putting a label on it. Normally this trope doesn’t bother me and I get behind reading about it but for whatever reason, this one didn’t have the same appeal to me. Obviously I wanted Leo and Tory to get together but the way this started felt awkward and like there was no chemistry. It was like a friendship with benefits but without the emotions and connections. That’s what I felt like this book was. It didn’t dig deep, there was no trauma and there was no denying feelings and the general hesitation about starting a relationship. All you got was two people who decided to explore their desire with each other. Sure, you get the big picture and a realization that their attraction may mean something but there was no vulnerability. You got a happy go lucky guy who happens to be a CEO of a company with no baggage, trauma or fear of falling in love. You get it a little bit, but Leo doesn’t explain why. He doesn’t take you into his head on why he never wants to settle down or why he can’t commit. This book lacked this connection I could feel with Leo. It just seemed like he just didn’t want to do it, no reason or anything which didn’t make sense to me. I could understand why Tory would be hesitant in thinking about settling down. Think back to the very beginning of this story and why the wedding doesn’t happen at all. This was a reason, but at the same time, Leo felt like a rebound. She didn’t say that, but the way she just jumped so quickly into starting something with Leo even though they’ve known each other. I would think she would at least be somewhat fragile and hesitant. This book just felt like Leo was skipped over and his story wasn’t fully thought out. I felt like the other books in this series had more going for them. I don’t know, maybe when the author wrote his story, she felt like he didn’t need a complicated storyline and just a nudge in the right direction. I feel bad giving this a 3 and essentially feeling like this was just an ok story but I guess we’ll see when Nick’s story gets released. I’m still looking forward to it.

Best friends to lovers Leo and Torys story was so good. All the Whitley boys have so far and this one added to it. They had their time to grow up since they were young when they met. The chemistry was great and it was well written.

Leo cannot stand his best friend's fiancée, but Tory's about to marry him, so Leo's here to support her. After all, best friends support each other even if they don't think their choice in partners is worthy. So when Tory finds out her fiancée has been cheating on her, Tory needs to get away. What better place than his home in Boston? He can support her, console her, and he can even become her dating coach? Yeah, her dating coach, to help her put herself back out there. Not to date her himself or anything like that...

Leo and Tory are such a sweet friends to more couple. Their journey from best friends to realizing their mutual feelings and how strong their emotional and physical connection is, is the reason why I love friends to lovers so much. They have that ease and familiarity that only best friends have, with the added bonus of smokin' hot chemistry. While they both realized they could have easily been more than friends much earlier in their friendship, Leo was right, when he told her in a heartfelt moment, that coming together now in their present had given them time to become the people they are now, the people who deserved each other. Leo's family was around to offer support, meddling lol, and lots of love to both of them, especially to Tory, whose own family was seriously lacking. The Whitley family is awesome, now I'm impatiently waiting for the last brother, Nick, to fall in love.

Layla Hagen has done it again! I absolutely LOVED Loving the CEO! I loved every moment on every page of Loving the CEO, the seventh book in her The Whitley Brothers series, it filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, and it was impossible to put it down. Layla Hagen definitely did not disappoint her readers with Loving the CEO and has once again delivered an incredible story filled with everything that I love in love stories. Layla Hagen is a must-read author for me. I love how Layla Hagen continues to write the love stories that I love to read and is a must-read author for me. Loving the CEO is a friends to lovers love story between Leo Whitley, CEO of Whitley Real Estate and his college best friend, Tory Sanders, journalist. Leo and Tory met years ago on orientation day at Boston College and have been friends ever since. Tory was originally dating someone, so Leo did not express any interest in her and then he did not want to jeopardize their friendship if their relationship failed. Leo heads to New Orleans to attend Tory’s wedding to her fiancé Walter. Before the dress rehearsal Tory overhears Walter on his phone and she realizes that he is cheating on her. She packs a bag and leaves. She becomes a runaway bride, unexpectedly meeting Leo out front, leaves with him and they head to a hotel across town. I love their New Orleans adventures. Eventually, Tory heads to Boston with Leo to escape New Orleans, since she works remotely and can work from anywhere. She stays in an extra bedroom in Leo’s home. Leo offers to be her dating coach, and how that backfires on Leo. I love everything that Leo does for Tory as her dating coach. I love their text message stream. Conversation between Tory and Leo flows so easily, with innuendos and playful banter, and Leo constantly flirting with Tory. Things heat up quickly between Tory and Leo as they are roommates. I love the secrets that Tory shares about her relationships with her mother and Walter and Leo shares about his relationship with his grandparents and his half-brothers. I love all the changes Leo makes as he spends time with Tory. I love how the Whitleys embrace Tory, especially Leo’s sisters-in-law. I love the changes that Tory makes in her life including relocating to Boston and finding a new place to live. I love Tory and Leo’s love story, and how a plot twist changes things between them and brings them together, helping Leo realize how much Tory means to him. The plot twist was heartbreaking for Tory. I love the ending of their love story, and that Leo and Tory finally admit their true feelings for one another and the changes that each of them makes to have a life together and how what Leo wants out of life changes. Who does not love hot sexy men, who make you swoon, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another, and wonderful characters? Layla Hagen always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy men. One of my favorite parts of her books is how she incorporates the picture on the cover of the book into the love story. I am not sure how she does it, but Layla Hagen has once again given her readers another amazing book. She has once again proven that she is an amazing storyteller and continues to be one of my favorite authors. I really enjoy how she writes her stories in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. Loving the CEO is filled with all those elements that I have come to love and expect in a Layla Hagen love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Layla Hagen creates such wonderful and memorable characters and has once again done this in Loving the CEO. I love Tory and Leo’s love story and the descriptions of settings of both New Orleans and Boston. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Loving the CEO, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoy all the interactions among the Whitley brothers, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love the Leo has embraced his half-brothers, which was not the case when he knew Tory in college. I love all the new babies that will be added to the Whitley family. My favorite characters are Grandmother and Grandfather, Jeannie, and Abe Whitley. I loved the bittersweet and poignant moments, as well as the unexpected plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in a Layla Hagen love story. Loving the CEO was a wonderful love story. I love that the ending of Tory and Leo’s love story was more than a happily ever after. My favorite part of the story is Leo’s proposal to Tory, the location of his proposal, when it took place, everything he did to pull it off, and the significance of the engagement ring. I loved Leo’s response to Tory stating that they lost many years. I loved it! I also love that Tory told Leo that he is fulfilling all her wildest dreams. I love the epilogue, which takes place one year later and is the perfect ending of their love story, with Leo once again taking care of Tory and Jeanie getting Nick ready to find love. I loved catching up with the Whitley siblings and cannot wait to read Nick’s story and who he falls for is revealed. Highly recommend this incredible love story. I received an advanced copy from the author.

This is the story of the second to last Whitley brother Leo and his best friend Tory. It is a friends to WAY more story full of heart break, friendship, fun and steam. This is a sweet story about two very good friends who bring out the best in one another and who finally are brave enough to take a chance on one another in order to find their HEA.

Leo is a really good guy, always there for someone else but holds himself back from believing that he deserves lasting love. He’s more of a good time right now kinda guy. He knows that Tory wants and deserves more than that but figures he will settle until she is ready to find her HEA. Poor clueless guy doesn’t realize that he is hers AND that she is his!

Tory has had the worst luck in recent years with a selfish and mean fiancé and a mom who is only worried about how things look and is pretty selfish herself. Thankfully she discovers the fiance’s cheating before they get married and allows Leo to take her to Boston to escape the runaway wedding fiasco. While in Boston, she begins to discover herself again with a bit of Leo’s help and discovers that true love has been right under her nose for years.

I love how both Leo and Tory figure out that they shouldn’t have been together years ago because they had to grow into the people that they are today in order to be ready for the lasting love that they have for one another.

One thing that frustrated me to death is the serious lack of communication between them. They both think things that they don’t say and assume that the other knows what they’re thinking when they don’t. I am sure that this is real life but sheesh! I’m glad that they finally get it together but I was concerned that it took as long as it did.

This story is yet another example of well written characters, both main and side characters, that keeps you reading to see whether they can find their way to each other. I love the way Ms. Hagen writes her family stores. They draw me right and make me feel like I am right there with everyone. I will be sad when the final story is written as I’ve absolutely LOVED these Whitleys!

I recently finished Loving the CEO by Layla Hagen, and I have to say, it was a delightful read that deserves a solid four-star rating! This book is part of the Whitley Brothers series, and it centers on Leo Whitley and his best friend, Tory. After discovering her fiancé's infidelity just before their wedding, Tory escapes to Boston and moves in with Leo. What unfolds is a beautiful journey as their long-standing friendship evolves into something more.

One of the highlights for me was the character development. Leo’s transformation from a carefree bachelor to a supportive friend and potential lover was heartwarming. I loved how relatable both characters were, especially Tory as she navigated her feelings after such a painful betrayal. The chemistry between Leo and Tory was electric, making their transition from friends to lovers engaging and believable.

Hagen does an excellent job of exploring themes like vulnerability, trust, and the fear of risking friendships for love. I found myself invested in their emotional struggles, which added depth to the romance. The writing style struck a perfect balance between humor and heartfelt moments, keeping me entertained throughout. While I did find some plot points predictable and the pacing a bit slow at times, it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the story.

In conclusion, Loving the CEO is a sweet and spicy friends-to-lovers romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s filled with emotional conflict and lighthearted moments that made me smile. As we approach the last installment in the Whitley Brothers series, I’m left feeling both excited and nostalgic for these characters. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance, I highly recommend giving this book a read!

Another awesome story from Layla Hagen. Leo is so adorably clueless. He has no idea that he is head over heels for Tory from the very beginning. He is so protective and supportive of her. He just had no clue how much he loved her.

Tory’s had a tough time. She found out her fiancé was cheating on her. I felt bad for her but I was so happy that she turned to Leo for support. She really deserved a loving, supportive partner. Walter was just a jerk.

Leo broke my heart a few times when he expressed pain about his past. It is brief but strong. Throughout this series, the Father has been in the background and you knew it caused pain for the brothers but I never really connected to it like I did thru Leo.

I also really liked the timing of this relationship. Leo really has loved Tory since they met but he never realized that he could actually settle down and love her the way he felt she deserved. At one point in the story, Tory wondered why they hadn’t gotten together sooner. I loved Leo’s response that they had to grow individually before they could be right for each other. It was such a poignant moment for me because Leo truly didn’t believe he could be a great partner for her. It was a happy but sad moment. I was so happy for him because he finally had Tory but felt so sad at the same time that he had denied himself that happiness for so long and almost lost her to that horrible jerk, Walter.

And none of those emotions would come thru if Layla Hagen wasn’t such an amazing writer. The emotions just flow right through the story and into your heart.

One more Whitley brother to go!!

Yet another hit in this series! Leo and Tory will steal your heart, and their chemistry is off the charts! 5 Whitley Brother stars for this one!
Leo is in town for Tory's wedding, though he never liked the guy, she's his best friend, he'll always be there for her! But looking at her, he doesn't see that spark she's always had, and he knows Walter is to blame. Over coffee as they catch up, Tory opens up about the thinks Walter doesn't like that she does, and Leo can't believe it, those are the things he loves about her! Walter is a jerk! But no matter what, Leo is here for her.
Tory knows she shouldn't be marrying Walter, she knows he is treating her badly, this whole wedding is like a pain to him, but this is what his family wanted. When she walks in his room and overhears a phone call he's on, with another woman, this is her out! She has to get out of here, and away from the wedding, and of course her best friend Leo is right there for her!
Leo and Tory have a true connection, they've been best friends since college, and he has feelings for her, as does she for him, but with their friendship they're afraid to lose what they truly have, but their no denying the attraction between them, which one will cave first!
This story was so well written, you will love these two! Now with only one more Whitley to fall prey to grandmother setting him up, I don't want this series to end! Grab this one asap!

"Another Whitley down!

Leo and Story have been friends forever and now Leo has become Tory's knight in shiny armor. Leo can no longer hide/deny his feelings for Tory and it is cute watching the proclaimed bachelor fall, nary a grandmother's matchmaking in sight😃. This story is sweet with lots of spice and the fun of the Whitley family." ~Cindy

"Loving the CEO is a sultry and heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance that captures the emotional highs and steamy passion of two best friends realizing their deeper feelings. Layla Hagen masterfully weaves Leo Whitley's story into a tale of love, friendship, and second chances, with a premise that delivers a satisfying blend of emotional depth and sizzling chemistry.he emotional conflict at the core of the novel feels genuine — Tory grapples with lingering doubts after her heartbreak and hesitates to risk her bond with Leo. Hagen explores themes of vulnerability, trust, and the fear of ruining a cherished friendship, which makes the romance all the more engaging.

Loving the CEO is a perfect blend of humor, heat, and heart. Leo and Tory's journey from best friends to lovers is captivating and relatable, and readers will find themselves rooting for them as they navigate the complexities of love after loss. This standalone novel offers a well-paced, steamy escape that fans of friends-to-lovers tropes will absolutely enjoy.

Loving the CEO. This is Leo another one of the “confirmed bachelor’s” of the Whitley family! Leo went to NOLA for his best friend’s wedding. Did I fail to mention that his best friend was a girl from college. Tory was the girl that got away if you were into relationships which Leo was not…just ask him he will tell you! When Leo finds out what happens he immediately jumps in and is the shoulder Tory needs and whatever else. What Leo finally realizes is his feeling were different for her then any other women he saw. He refused to admit that his brothers were right, and never would he admit that his grandmom was right. Leo had to find out on his own. At first Leo thought nothing wrong with friends with benefits but when he realized her best friend told her it’s time to get back out there that he didn’t want that to happen. Cue eye opener. Tory knew her feelings were changing but she refused to all her feelings to mess up their friendship. Afterall Leo has said multiple times he did not want a relationship or the white picket fence or kids and that is what she wanted. When Leo thought she was moving back to NOLA to open a B&B with her mom it really hit home that she may not come back that he may have to settle for just friends. We know that the Whitley men don’t settle. Yes, this can be read as a stand-alone however I strongly suggest you start at book one and the characters intermingle, and it makes reading so much easier an a lot more fun!

I really enjoyed listening to this beautiful and heartfelt friends to lovers romance. Tory is the 'one who got away' for Leo. He was attracted to her when they first met in college, but she was already dating someone. Over the years, the timing was never right, but they were always best friends. When she found out her fiancé was cheating the night before their wedding, Leo is there to help her escape. He convinces her to go back to Boston and stay with him until she figures out what she will do next. Leo is so thoughtful and attentive, Tory starts to allow herself to give in to the deeper feelings she has always had for him. She also begins to feel a connection to his family and new circle of girlfriends. Leo wants Tory more than anything, but he has never planned on settling down. After acting on their desires, will they realize they were always meant to be, or will the fear of losing what they have, force them to lose everything? Tory and Leo’s story is sweet, funny, heartwarming, and sizzling hot. They are both so great together and I cheered hard for their HEA. I really liked the humor in the story. The friendship, and the family bonds are all fantastic.
Erin Mallon, and Connor Crais were so perfectly cast to narrate this fun and heartwarming romance. They completely captured these characters and made me feel all the hope, heartbreak, love, and passion they possessed. They are so easy to listen to and they made this romance even more captivating and delightful.

Leo and Tory have been best friends since college. So, when the invitation for her wedding came of course he jump on the plan to support her. Over the last few years, the feeling that she's the one that got away grew and when she cancels the wedding due to her fiancé cheating, he offers his help for her to regroup in Boston. What he never imagined was that spending time with her and getting involved romantically (finally), would change his view of his ability to be in a serious relationship.

Tory needs to reevaluate her life. With everything that happened with her ex, going back to Boston seem like a great plan. Spending time with her best friend and his family is just what the doctor prescribed. Acting on their mutal attraction was not in her bingo cards, but with the first kiss all bets are off and soon they'll need to rethink what exactly they mean to each other. And when she's presented with an opportunity to return home, Leo will do anything to make her see, that the only place she belongs is in his arms.

Whitley brothers are drooping like flies and now its Nick's turn. I'm so excited to see who will chance the mind of our favorite notorious bachelor and make him see just how good it feels to be loved.

Audio/eBook Review:
I loving catching up with the Whitley brothers and I was excited for Leo Whitley and Tory’s friends to lovers journey. I wasn’t disappointed and Loving The CEO is a wonderful addition to this great series. If you love friends to lovers romance or stories based around families look no further than this gem.
Connor Crais and Erin Mallon did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their journey to life. They were spot on with passion, the chemistry and the banter.
What do you do when you find out the man you are about to marry is cheating on you …..
Well when Tory overhears a telephone call she decides to run and there’s only one friend who can help her and that’s her best friend Leo. What follows is an entertaining and emotional journey as these best friends go from friends to lovers. But will they survive when lines are crossed. One click now to find out.
Loving The CEO ( The Whitley Brothers #7) ticked all my boxes, I fell hard and fast for Leo and Tory is the woman I would love in my corner. The banter is witty, the chemistry is hot, the family loyalty is something we all wish for but it was the writing that took this book to another level. Ms Hagen has once again written a wonderful story that would appeal to all romance lovers.

Once again, Layla Hagen delivers a swoon-worthy romance in the seventh outing of the Whitley Brothers series, Loving the CEO. This time, we fall head over heels for Leo Whitley and his best friend, Tory, in a steamy yet heartfelt friends-to-lovers story.

This is yet another irresistible addition to the Whitley Brothers series, proving that Layla Hagen knows exactly how to pull at your heartstrings while delivering unforgettable romance.

Friends to lovers really isn't my favorite trope. I usually feel like the couple just isn't good at communicating or they're living in denial. But Layla did so good at developing these characters, that this was an enjoyable read. It was mentioned a few times that had they dated previously, they wouldn't have worked. They needed time as individuals to grow and explore their feelings. Leo thought he would never settle down but has always loved Tory as his best friend. When he goes to watch get get married and she finds her soon to be husband cheating on her, Leo suggests she comes back to Boston and live with him while she figures out her plans for the future. Tory agrees and we see her explore her options and decide what she wants to have in the further. Of course she gets pulled into the Whitley clan and everyone welcomes her. Leo wants to pull out all the stops for his best friend and finds he might actually be a romantic after all and maybe his brothers and Grandma Jeannie did have the right idea with a life partner. Who better than your best friend? But can Leo work up the courage to be a relationship partner instead of a bachelor?
I thoroughly enjoyed this one and swooned at all the romantic gestures. It's a good read and I can't wait for Nick to fall hard too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There is something special about friends to lovers that melt your heart! Leo and Tory are such a beautiful couple. As best friends who lose some of their friendship connection after college, Leo joins his best friend for her wedding in New Orleans only to discover the groom is a cheating piece of dirt.
Pulling the runaway bride title, Tory leaves her old life and returns to Boston with Leo. He will stop at nothing to support her through everything, but deep down having her in his home, his space and in his brain! Together they discover friendship that turns to love.
I truly loved Leo’s strength and compassion towards Tory, he’s always there with a hug, a smile a corny gift. It’s then Tory discovers that the boy she knew in college to the successful man he is now, Leo is everything she’s ever wanted.
A loving friendship merges into an enduring love to melt your heart! Those Whitley men, their dirty talk, their alpha personalities, lead to a very sexy, steamy and romantic relationship, especially as the stars align!

This is the second to last book in this fantastic series. One that I've thoroughly enjoyed and one that I will be really sad to finish. I loved this book as it is a bestfriends to lovers book. And it all happens by chance, but it was fated for Leo and Tory to be together.

This book is a no-nonsense story. Not huge drama fueled. It contains just enough of everything. The family all poke theirs noses in especially Leo's grandmother Jeannie. But I wouldn't expect anything less. This book is heartbreaking, sad, but fun and one hell of a love story.

I loved this story and would totally recommend this book. As well as the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed Layla Hagen’s newest Whitley Brother finding his HEA! Loving the CEO is a friends-to-lovers romance set in Boston. These two college best-friends finally start seeing each other as a possible forever love. Watching Tory and Leo recognize, accept, and then finally act upon their feelings is like riding a roller coaster with lots of highs and lows until you get to the finish. I love large family sagas where everyone gets along, helps each other through the tough times and is one of my favorite types of romance. The Whitley family embodies everything I just described and so much more. When these men fall to their knees for the woman of their dreams they fall HARD!! I truly enjoy reading a Layla Hagen romance story because the characters are well developed and the is just a great weekend/beach read. The audiobook is narrated by Connor Crais and Erin Mallon. I’ve listened to Erin Mallon for several years now and thoroughly enjoy her performances. Her voice is smooth and easy on the ears. Connor Crais is fairly new to me. I’ve enjoyed listening to his performances and he has become one of my favorite male narrators. His voice is very easy on the ears, YUM!

When Tori finds out her fiance is cheating the night before her wedding, she runs off. Her college best friend, Leo, is right out front the hotel. After he sees her face, Leo knows something is wrong. He offers to help her go wherever she wants to go. They run off to get beignets and Tori explains why she is running. Leo rents an Air B&B for the evening and they make a plan. Tori can work from anywhere so she goes back to Boston with Leo. Leo has always been into Tori but he has never been willing to settle down and Tori was always in a relationship.

In Boston, Leo was there for Tori and when she said she had to go back to New Orleans to pack up her house and her friend is going to send her on a blind date. Leo flipped. He offered he will date her so she will be ready for when she wants to be serious again. The date was a perfect sushi date and then turned into them hooking up. These to had great physical chemistry but Leo had to face his hurtle of wanting to settle down.

Friends to lovers? Not a big fan but I can read anything with Leo Whitley in it. Running bride? Ate
Leo, I loved you since the first time you appeared. This book is the definition of "I got you" love and I absolutely loved it. Devoured.
Leo and Tory you are the cutest. Funny how everybody from the beginning already knew they'd end up together.
Only this man can think about market crashes, inflation and high interest rates to calm his excitement. I mean it makes sense.
And after 128 pages we got the "She's mine". Urrà. Page 172 Leo does not think about jumping off a bridge after hearing the word relationship. That's a huge step.
"Ten years I have wanted you Tory. Ten goddamn years" I read that with Sirius's voice.

"Sei sempre pronto a farmi da complice, eh?" "Sono il tuo uomo, sempre"

"Cazzo. Devo andare a correre e schiarirmi le idee, altimetri..." "Cosa?" "Ti bacerò" "Non andare" "Tory..." "Ho capito quello che hai detto, e non voglio che tu te ne vada"

"Tory era una donna meravigliosa e ion non desideravo altro che darle piacere e amore"

"Quando sei andata via da casa. Mi sono svegliato la mattina dopo e mi sono reso conto che non volevo che avessimo vite separate. Non volevo che il rapporto tra noi fosse solo temporaneo"

I've been reading these out of order and with other books in between. I think they were feeling a little too similar to me and I needed a change of pace, but these books are full of the best book boyfriends.

Leo is wonderful and I adore him!

It felt rushed from her almost wedding to Leo, but maybe I missed some backstory in a previous book or just forgot about it because it's been a while since I read the previous books.

I wish we had more glimpses of their friendship from the beginning to really build it up.

It has a good amount of spice

Ends in HEA and lead into the next book

I adore the meddling grandmother

No thirdact breakup!!

Some miscommunication between the 2, but not terrible

The FMCs mom drives me nuts, but at least she sticks up for her daughter a bit in the end

I felt like there were a couple of issues in the timeline of the story or in a scene, but not bad.

Again, I'm in love with Leo!

The audio version was also great! The narrators nailed it!!! And now I am even more in love with Leo❤️

Also, the entire time I was listening to the audiobook I was thinking of the song Porch Swing Angel by Muscadine Bloodline

Another one bites the dust! We all know by now that all Whitely siblings had/ have (there’s still one standing!) commitment issues due to their father’s affair. And I think this is what makes their stories so dreamy, because they fall so fast when the right person comes along. They might not have been relationship material in the past but oh man once they love they are all in! They are fierce, protective and passionate about their loved ones and they are everything a woman can wish for. And Leo didn’t make any exceptions.

Leo and Tory’s story is a good example that the right timing is so important. They had to grow and live separately so they could become the right person the other needed. They never would have worked out during college which makes their happy ending even more special. Poor Tory had to kiss a few frogs before getting her Prince Charming but it was so worth it!

We are getting closer and closer to the grand finale of this series and I am not ready for it but I can’t wait to see what special lady will come into Nick’s life.

Loving the CEO is a sultry and heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance that captures the emotional highs and steamy passion of two best friends realizing their deeper feelings.
