A Hate Hate Relationship

Rate this book
My marriage started with a lie and a pen.

It was supposed to be cold. Clinical. Just a loophole to lock down the trust fund and keep her vineyard out of the dirt.

But Mercy Boyd doesn’t play by contracts.
She bleeds legacy. And she ran with my blood.

Now I know what she’s hiding under that emerald silk—and it’s not just attitude. She’s carrying my heir.

And she thinks I’ll let her go?
No chance.

Not when her body remembers mine better than her pride does. Not when she looks at me like I’m the man she hates—right before she begs me not to stop.

She flinched when I got too close.
Now I’m going to ruin her boundaries, one moan at a time.

She’s hiding a baby bump.
I’m hiding her prenatals.

Read on for a surprise pregnancy, enemies-to-lovers obsession, an heir wrapped in silk and scandal, and a billionaire who keeps contracts, crushes cousins, and takes care of his family. HEA Guaranteed!

It was predictable and wholesome for the most part.
I didn’t expect Julian’s racism to be so overt. Then again, racism is at its most insidious when it is covert. —> 2.75 ⭐️

Mercy - Black Vineyard owner, the land was passed down to her through the generations. Which is significant, especially when it comes to America and Slavery, I don’t next to explain.

Cillian - White CEO of Conglomerate. Grew up in a rich yet, unemotionally family.

Cillian’s cousin, Julian wants Mercy out of the family and wants Cillian to be stripped of his ceo position (so he can take it). He tries to find a way to break them up and get Nana Rose to disinherit Cillian. Julian is extremely racist and all but calls her a slave.

This book had potential, if it was fleshed out more in certain areas. Take us through their 5 year journey, if only briefly. Give us more of Mercy’s background and family. It went from Hate to love so quickly (infatuation, if you ask me).

They have a love hate relationship that turns intimate during a moment of weakness. Mercy finds herself expecting and Cillian is placed in a situation where he must protect the woman he loves. Will their marriage turn into one that finally leads them both to happiness. This story had me glued to the pages from the beginning.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A Hate Hate Relationship

Interesting read that showed how life can shape your thoughts and perceptions but if you’re mature enough you can find there are other ways to live and learn that can lead to a happier future.

A Hate Hate Relationship

Amazing storytelling … Nana Rose played everyone and I loved it! Cillian and Mercy just needed to communicate with each other. Julian actually made the HEA sweeter 😍😍😍😍

So Good

Had me crying, you’ll know which part when you get there, and that’s not usually the reaction from a romance novel when you read as many as I do. Love the strength of Cillian but also his vulnerability. Good story!!
