Hassan and Sevyn are both unhinged but in the best way. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a sequel. I really do love their relationship and their dynamic and the way that they are able to be an anchor to eachother in the midst of their individual mental health struggles. All the while still encouraging one another to seek professional help. The way they cover each other is lovely. Loved it and I’m excited for the next book to dive into Dorian and Roman’s story!

January 24, 2026I loved this book. Even though it was tough going through how graphic it was. Loved the relationship between Ice and sevyn. Even though he was cold, he was also very loving through his brokeness. I was definitely ruling for him to stay on top. He was ruthless but also had a heart. Over deeply and took care of those in his circle of love. Also love the cute nick names that were attached to the characters. Can't wait for the next book. Hope all is well with Rylynn.

My first read of 2026 and I am not mad about it! I didnt even know I needed a Book 2 until I started reading this book! Watching how each character has developed from the first book was so beautifully written especially with Sevyn and Hassan and seeing him be in a place where he can anchor her but still be Ice when necessary! Now that cliffhanger has me on edge and ready for Roman and Dorian!

Listen. I fell in love with Sevyn and Hassan in book one and I loved watching them fall in love. But book 2!!!…baby, if my man don’t ride for me like Hassan, ion want him!!! Talk SA bout growth, omg. Hassan is everything and I cannot WAIT for the next book. Dorian plays zero games about Rylan, mama bear abt to turn up!!

Enjoyed
The first few chapters for me were overly descriptive and drawn out for me. I lost interest and put it down a few times. However, I enjoyed this follow-up book. I liked the characters so much that I even liked Ariel's parents. I felt so bad for them. I wanna see Paris and maybe bully or Hassan's therapist meet and become a couple lol. Good read.

Quickly becoming a fav!
Ann, why you do that? Rylan better be good! Seriously.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her stories pull me in from jump each time. Started with Solace, then I See You, then Rose and now this book. All so good. Keep these goodies coming Ann!

Hassan "Ice" and Sevyn "Sexy Baby" are back. I must say this started slow for me but once it got going, it was good. Sevyn had to deal with flasbacks and Hassan still had his demons to contend with.
Harper, Von, Dorian, and Roman round out the family amd do not disappoint. The cliffhanger at the end! I'm ready for Roman and Dorian...some crazy is about to be unleashed.

Good Conclusion
Was part two necessary, no. But it was a good continuation of where everyone was in their journey and how Sevyn was dealing with her trauma as a therapist. It was good to see Hassan still healing as well. Unfortunately Ariel’s parents learned the hard way what happens when you keep digging for answers.

What a ride. I was initially cheesed off that Ann even had to listen to the haters on the first book that she felt she had to do a part 2 but this was good and felt like a complete conclusion and I can see that touching on the unresolved issues they both had drawing them out and tying them up in a nice neat bow giving the perfect balanced ending. 4.5 stars

I love me some Ice!!
The love & twists! And Sexy that is Seven & Ice I love love they love!! How they have each other at all times!! I love how Dorian & Hazel & Seven ride for each other! This was a beautiful book.

This was my first read of the year and baby it did not disappoint. I'm so happy to see Hassan and sevyn getting the peace they deserve. I can't wait for Roman and Dorian book I'm so excited. Good job Ann Modkins!
