🎷 They didn’t miss the gig. They vanished through time. 🎷
When siblings Bastien and Marcelle LeBlanc fail to show up for a New Orleans jazz performance, Remy Benoit knows this isn’t bad timing—it’s something far worse. Racing to Chicago with his friend Clay MacIntyre, Remy breaks into Marcelle’s empty townhouse and finds the clue that makes his blood run the earthy burn of peat.
The calling card of Celtic brooch time travel—where love crosses centuries. The LeBlancs haven’t disappeared—they’ve gone back a century.
This chapter of the saga turns toward love that meets illness, disability, and the long work of staying.
Marcelle arrives in 1928 Chicago, shaking in a dark alley after witnessing a mob execution. Rescued by a fearless jazz singer, she’s pulled into a glittering speakeasy world where music means survival—and talent attracts dangerous attention. When Marcelle’s trumpet sets the stage on fire, Al Capone notices. Refusing him isn’t an option.
As Remy and Clay plunge into Prohibition-era Chicago, glamour and menace close in fast. Time is running out—
Rescue means risking history. Love means risking everything.
A time-travel romance filled with jazz-age danger, forbidden love, and impossible choices—perfect for fans of Outlander, Jazz Age intrigue, and high-stakes love.

I’ve read all the books in this series and have totally loved every one. This book takes some turns that I didn’t expect, but really loved how the story evolved. It was amazing as always!!!!!
This is one of the best of the best of this series. I enjoyed the new characters and how they interacted with some of my favorite old ones. Remy's story touched close to home....the shock of discovery, then the tears, worry, and acceptance of dealing with cancer was very real and brought tears to my eyes. I'm so glad that there was a happy ending for him and his new love, as well as the other two matches made for Clay and Bastien. I can't wait to hear how their stories unfold in the next chapters
I love the brooch series...to escape to another time and place. The values I believe in and grew up with are relived through each traveling adventure. The bursts of color exploding as the author developed the characters stimulants the artist in me. I can't physically join adventures but reading through this series that longing is satisfied. Thank you for the ride Katherine, looking forward to the next one.
Brilliant as always! I really have no idea how Katherine keeps track of the storyline and characters I'm just very grateful she does and does it so well. I adore a 1000 page book I can almost move into and this is what I did for the four days it took me to read The Jasper Brooch. I need to go back to the first book now and read them all again! Thank you Katherine.
I loved this book. I have most books in audible and for books 11-13, I listened to the whole series again before finishing with the latest. Every book gets better than the books before. This is my new favorite. If you love the broach series, you will love book 14! And someone send a set to Netflix. This series needs to be on the screen....
I'm glad I found this book. I enjoyed it very much. So glad for Remy. Was I a little confused we Rick Tavis and Clay went back and when they go home again. It came clear as I kept reading. Great book.
The story continues, filled with so many "oh my goodness" events, new people, old friends, and always history. This is a series I truly cherish and can't wait for the next installment!
This book was awesome! One of the best in the series Not an ending, more like a summary of all the books so far. Loved that 3 people found their soul mates, previous characters came back, questions were answered.
I have read every book in the series starting with the Ruby brooch a long time ago. I am an avid fan of the brooch series. Each book is expertly crafted so you feel you are in the situation where the characters are. This book is no exception. I’m glad to see that there are 25 brooches to be found and we’re only up to number 13. I strongly advise that you all start reading the brooch series starting with the ruby brooch to get to know the family and the characters involved. They are compelling and exciting. You will fall in love like I have.
Start at the beginning! It’s a very fine place to start!
If you like historical fiction series books, I am enraptured with Katherine Lowry Logan’s Celtic Brooch books! Not all Vikings, but all Scottish, with a very interwoven storyline that weaves ,and twists, and dips into all kinds of legendary historical moments! All the hotties and soulmates, with all the badass women you can handle!! This one jumps into Chicago, since I’m from here, I have a special affection for this part of the series! Keep em coming Katherine!!!
This is #14 of the Brooch series. I was hooked from the start. I am a big fan of time travel books. I loved the Fraser clan from the outset and each person added through the travel, I like just as much. This book takes the travelers back to 1926 and the time of prohibition and gangsters. Clubs like the Cotton Club were owned by the gangsters who paid off the politicians so that they could serve alcohol.
I have loved the previous brooch stories, but struggled to remain involved in this story - without giving anything away I feel the storyline has become too convoluted and in places just ridiculous, with too many couples and too much going on for one book, moving it away from the time travelling romance that I enjoyed. I subscribe to KU so will probably get future books to read anyway, but not so sure I would if I had to buy outright.
The start was interesting. The middle dragged. Way too much drinking and the sex was awkward and overwhelming. The cancer description felt like personal history and a soapbox. The story picked up on the return trip then died at the end. Overall the book was too long filling in words to increase the length. I’ll think twice about reading her next one.
I absolutely love this Brooch series. I've read every one and they just keep getting betterl. The relationships are developed so authentically and the historic aspects are so interesting. Each one would make a great season of a miniseries. Now that Outlander is wrapping up, maybe it's time for "The Broochs."
Wow each book gets better and better so many twists and turns. I love the new characters. I love how they all fell in love just a lot of excitement going on I loved, especially how they got away from Al Capone. I just love all the characters.
Katherine Lowry Logan has given us another wonderful story to add to the series … this is a good one! And as always, I can’t wait to read her next adventure! Keep them coming, Katherine!
I thought the series was over at book 13 and was so sad. I love the characters the family the weaving of each into each book. The humor, the love the suspense. I am so happy she is not finished and look forward to the next book.
To know each member of this Clan, to read their story is pure happiness. Once you start each book you can't put it down. This is one Author I could follow forever. Thank you Katherine Lowry Logan for sharing your stories!
As always the brooch doesn't disapoint. I love the series with all it's suspense. Remy is one of my favorite characters, so I was so happy for him. Looking g forward to the next book.
I have loved every book. Please don't let this book be the end. There are still people that will need soulmates. The next generation is coming up to carry on the work to save the earth. Keep them coming.
I've read every one of MS. Lowery's Time Travel books. These are the best books I have ever read. They are rich in details and loving kindness. MS Lowery's very talented.
Another good read. I’ve read all the brooch series and enjoy them very much. Love all the characters and the twists and turns in the story. I felt this a bit long and would prefer a shorter story. Looking forward to the next one.
