Study Notes 2005

The NIV Archaeological Study Bible has never been revised. All study notes, articles, maps, charts, photographs, and design elements remain as originally published in 2005. The biblical text is the NIV 1984 edition (© 1973, 1978, 1984 Biblica). No later revisions of either the study materials or the translation were incorporated into this edition.

⭐ NIV Archaeological Study Bible — Academic Catalog Entry (Corrected Copyright Edition)
The NIV Archaeological Study Bible is a historically focused study edition of the New International Version (NIV), edited by Walter C. Kaiser Jr. and Duane Garrett, and published by Zondervan. It integrates the complete NIV text with an extensive suite of archaeological, historical, and cultural notes designed to illuminate the material world of the Bible. The volume includes over 500 articles, full‑color photographs, maps, charts, timelines, and sidebar essays that synthesize archaeological discoveries, ancient Near Eastern background, and Greco‑Roman cultural data.

This edition aims to help readers understand how archaeology informs biblical interpretation by situating the text within its ancient cultural and historical contexts. It was awarded the 2007 ECPA Christian Book Award for Bible of the Year and remains one of the most artifact‑rich study Bibles ever produced.

This is out of print, but I won an eBay auction. (Like New copy)

Demand is higher than supply right now. This book is currently priced very high, even for used copies rated "acceptable". I won this "like-new" copy on eBay (along with a like-new Deluxe Edition of Halley's Bible Handbook) for $67.00 plus delivery and tax.

I also own a digital edition that I purchased. See the access link below:

This is one of the best bible translations and bible study combination. The translation is filled with the breath of the Holy Spirit and the bible commentary is insightful. I enjoyed this version and would recommend this to anyone who wants a lively bible to read and to study the Word of God. It is also written in a bigger font and bond beautifully in a leather cover.

I find Zondervan NIV Study Bible very useful in my study of God. The comments are useful. I've read this a couple of times, and I study from it often. Yeah, this changed my life, too.
