Staffing agency owner Danica James is determined not to spend another Valentine’s Day alone. But purchasing a man for the evening? Out of the question. Then her best friend intervenes—gifting her a night of dinner and dancing with a Cupid’s Arrow escort. What could be the harm? Though Cupid’s Arrow is known for matches made in heaven, she’s not looking for a love connection. Then she meets her Cupid’s Fellow and everything changes. Business mogul Weston Henshaw doesn’t need Cupid’s Arrow to get a Valentine’s Day companion, but Cupid’s Arrow needs him. Seems his sister’s charity event has done far better than anticipated. Only problem…a shortage of eligible bachelors to pamper all of the lonely hearts. When he agrees to be bait for an evening, he never imagines meeting the one woman who makes him wish the night would never end. An error by Cupid’s places Danica and Weston on a road to destiny, but will they maintain the course?
By day, Joy Avery works as an engagement manager. By night, the North Carolina native travels to imaginary worlds—creating characters whose romantic journeys invariably end happily ever after.
Since she was a young girl growing up in Garner, Joy knew she wanted to write. Stumbling onto romance novels, she discovered her passion for love stories; instantly, she knew these were the type stories she wanted to pen.
Real characters. Real journeys. Real good love is what you’ll find in a Joy Avery romance.
I absolutely loved this book. It made me feel like I was right there with the characters. It is an easy short read. I read it in one setting. I love the authors writing style. I will definitely be reading her other books. I strongly recommend this book. I am so glad I won this book in the book giveaway or I would have missed out on a wonderful author.
A cute and steamy novella. As always, Avery's great strength is in crafting an emotional story--at any length--without turning things into an angst fest and without sacrificing humor and "realness." (LOL at su-su.) I think she does this by having the characters and the narrative both take the characters' feelings seriously; there's no undermining of emotions anywhere.
I usually have opinions~ on how sex work and related fields are treated in romance novels, so: even though Weston is not actually an escort, there's not much dithering about the career in general and the deception isn't treated like some dramatic betrayal. Before she finds out, Danica does think to herself that she couldn't have a relationship with him because of his career, but she also makes a point of being clear that she respects his career and why (he helps people feel less lonely). (Also: finding out that he isn't actually an escort DOESN'T make a relationship more likely for Danica, and they both talk and work their way through things.)

This was such an amazing short story. Theidea that Danica’s best friend paid for her to attend a Charitable event where she met an amazing man. Weston ended up helping his younger sister by participating as one of the Escorts at a charitable event because she was short handed. Little did he know that the mistake would lead him to the woman of his dreams.
My only complaint is that by the time I read the last page .,I found myself Wanting more of the story I wanted to read morning about their growing relationship.
I’m a little late reading this, but I absolutely loved this story! It was cute, short, hot, romance personified, and did I say short?!? 🤗 I enjoy all of Joy Avery’s books! She’s an awesome Author!! I would love to hear more on Danica and Weston! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it! Kudos, Joy!! 💜
This was a love story about Danica James and Weston Henshaw. They met on Valentine's Day when Weston pretended to be an escort for Danica evening on the town. Their even was magical with dinner, dessert at a chocolate store, then dancing which led to a one night stannd
This was a sweet quick read to enjoy on Valentines Day. Weston and Danica’s story was very sweet and loved the chemistry between the two, I would have loved to know how the error happened, but no need to question what was meant to be.
Omg , I absolutely love being and falling in live. This book proves it doesn't take a lifetime to fall in love. And that there can be love at first sight. An absolute must read.
I love the characters Avery creates! She has men who are successful, kind, sexy and thoughtful. I love how they make her female characters feel and bounce back from heartache. Cute quick read.
This was a wonderful short story. It was full of awareness, longing and romance. I loved the instant connection between Weston and Danica. These sparkled from the very beginning. I loved how Weston opened up to her. Good story.
Wow! This was the fastest I've ever finished a book. I absolutely loved every minute of it. It made me laugh out loud and embrace the characters story. It's well worth the read. I hope there will be a sequel.
Get ready to be thrust into the Valentine’s Day spirit with this amazing read. This steamy novella had it all- humor, emotion, and romance that made me sigh.
“Cupid’s Error: A Novella” was a good read. …adorable 🥰🤎‼️ Weston & Danica, a match made on cupid’s charity arrow. …hmm, (these two) they are a cute couple.
I just love it when there is an instant attraction for a couple and they try to run away but can't. Danica and Weston decided run from fear and try love.
I loved this book. Valentine's day book sometimes come off as cheesy but I liked this on a lot. A little laughter, a little background and a dash of heat made this a great afternoon read.
LOL Cupid may have gotten this love connection right! Weston & Danica were supposed to be together just for Valentine's Day. One night wasn't enough for Weston and THAT'S how the chase started. Ms. Avery is a gifted writer. Looking for more stories from this writer! Very intense and sweet novella.
Typical novella story.... Find book, love book, book ends to fast. This is a delightful and quick romantic read. Strongly encourage but be warned will have you wondering what happens next!
I have Danica's and Weston's lovestory 4.5 just because it was too short. I know it was a novella and they are short but I wanted more. It was just Hot enough, just cute enough and covered everything enough...and yet I hated for it to end. It's a recommend read.
I just finished Cupid's Error. I loved it. Short and sweet. Awesome characters and storyline. I would love to read about the other characters from the novel.
