This is an update to an already excellent reference guide, adding Six Sigma tools and concepts in a way that is easy to grasp and use. As always, it's well organized and breaks down each tool with a brief explainer and step by step use guide. I'm not sure how useful it would be as a standalone to someone new to quality improvement concepts, but it's very helpful for a quality professional who may need a quick refresher or to a learner who has a more comprehensive reference to fall back on.
This book is really one of the few that doesn't need a recommendation. Just buy it, read it once and leave it on your desk. Definitely, you will get back to it every once in a while. A good summary of the main tools and concepts in the Six Sigma in specific and the problem-solving discipline in general. Personally, I used the book during my preparation for my Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma Black Belt certificates.
This is a handy pocket reference of tools and techniques for those starting Six Sigma initiatives in their companies. I used this pocket guide during my preparation to sit for the ASQ CSSGB exam. It was helpful and concise.
