When your candles get blamed for murder, things are about to get heated.

Sloan Kerrigan finally made the perfect candles for Bellhaven Harbor's most exclusive event. Too bad the mansion burned down before anyone lit them. Now there's a body in the rubble and the whole town's pointing fingers at the witch who supplied the "murder weapon."

Never mind that her candles were never lit. Or that someone else clearly had a match. With her reputation going up in smoke and a killer on the loose, can Sloan clear her name before she becomes the next victim?

This is the third book in this paranormal cozy mystery series; I’ve read and enjoyed the two previous books, but this book would stand alone fine. Sloan has returned to the small seaside town where she grew up, but hasn’t felt fully accepted, although she does have some close friends. She’s a medical doctor and also taking over her late mother’s apothecary—oh, and she’s a witch too. She’s excited to provide the handmade candles for the candelabras of a local mansion where the Fire and Ice Ball will be. Before the ball is held, the mansion burns down—and there’s a body in the rubble. She’s a suspect due to providing the candles, but she knows they didn’t cause the fire. She’s done other sleuthing, so she knows she can clear her name, and her friends want to help. I can definitely recommend this engaging book and series; I was provided an ARC, which I appreciate, but these opinions are my own.

Sloan has a big order, candles to fit in several chandeliers at Windmere House for the upcoming Fire and Ice Ball. She sees them all positioned and leaves. The next morning as she goes outside she can smell smoke. It seems that Windmere House had been destroyed by fire. When Sloan sees pictures taken by a drone she realises there had been an explosion. A body was found at the scene. Naturally people begin to blame her candles and her! So she, with help from her friends, do some sleuthing. In the end “Fire reveals” just who in a dream Sloan had.

Another fun addition to the series! The candles Sloan created for a big event at a historic home are accused of burning down the house. But, Sloan knows that could not be the case and sets out to save her reputation and that of her shop. A nicely crafted tale! I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a voluntary, unbiased review.

Sloan has an order for candles for the Fire and Ice Ball. She fills all the chandeliers and leaves. The next day she notices smoke in the air. The Windmere House has burnt down and she is the prime suspect because of the candles. Can she and her friends solve the mystery and determine who the suspect is?

I’m having so much fun reading this series. The characters are written superbly. They are the best friends we all wish we could have. Plus, there is magic! I was able to figure out who the killer was almost immediately after the deceased was identified. But reading how they were able to gather the proof they needed was very interesting and kept me reading. Can’t wait for the next book!

Sloan is back and still not quite fitting in with the locals.
It is realistic; yet still sad; how fast your new friends and neighbors will turn on you with the slightest provocation.
Can Sloan prove her innocence? Will those friends help her prove it?
