Dubious: A Dark MMM Bi Awakening Romance

Rate this book
A divorcé and two male escorts walk into a luxury hotel…
Wes
My life is falling apart.
At forty-two, my wife left me, my brother barely tolerates me, and my boss is sleeping with my ex.
On top of everything else, employees at the hotel I work for seem to be disappearing.
I don’t know how much longer I can live like this.
A lifeline comes from the most unexpected place. Two of my brother’s friends. Male escorts. I should stay away, but I don’t.
To be honest, I thought I was straight. But they make me…feel things. Amazing things. Terrifying things.
Then disaster strikes. The three of us find ourselves involved in a situation I never imagined.
After, I’m not the same. And they’re the only ones who understand.

Adam and Troy
Since our childhood, we have been each other's ride or die.
We helped each other run away from dangerous homes. Kept each other alive.
Lately there's something missing. Or maybe that's someone.
When we first meet Wes, we’re only messing with him for fun.
Then the three of us need each other.
Which is when we realize.
He’s the something we’ve been missing.

Switch is an MMM late bi awakening May-December romance. It contains a down on his luck divorcé, two chaos gremlins who teach him how to have fun, and a potentially haunted Bed and Breakfast. It contains content not everyone will enjoy. Reader discretion is advised. Please see the book’s about page or the author’s web site for more information.

trauma bonding, queer awakening, throuple, May to December, enemies to lovers, dude in distress, forced proximity, power dynamics, repressed desires, strategic seduction, unhinged hero vs "innocent" hero, kink awakening, troubled pasts, found family, consensual non-monogamy

Wes, Adam, and Troy 🖤

Sooo I’m a bit torn here. I really have enjoyed this author’s writing. And I enjoyed the drama / suspense aspects and the overarching plot across the books. But the romance? Couldn’t find it with a magnifying glass.

Ok that’s a tad dramatic. I enjoyed Adam and Troy’s friendship. They have been each other’s rock for years. The only person the other could count on. However, it does make it hard for me when there are friends, especially friends who hook up, that don’t recognize their feelings until someone else enters the picture? And even with them being in an official relationship now, it still just felt to me so separate. They even describe it once as bonded shelter pets. Which I fully agree, you can feel the obsession and protectiveness between them, but the romance seemed missing.

And then Wes. They loved to mess with him, and manipulate and confuse him. Honestly none of that bothers me. But I never felt the connection move to love. Troy was the main pursuer of Wes, and I could almost see a romantic relationship forming there. But other than Troy being like “what’s mine is his, what’s his is mine” I didn’t see how Adam felt about this moving to more. He was just following Troy’s lead.

The drama can definitely tend to err on OTT, and the ending felt a bit rushed. I would have liked a bit more resolution of them together, their love declarations and all of that wrapped up a bit better.

I’ve been really eager to learn more about Dean and Michael since book 1, so I’ll still be picking up their book! I’m intrigued to find out more of their backstory.

This series keeps getting better. We’ve met Troy, Adam, and Wes before, but the story itself works well as a standalone too.

The story gets straight into it; there’s no slow build or dragging it out. It’s tense, spicy, and really entertaining.

It’s dark, and there are some parts of the story that might be heavy for some people, but nothing goes into really dark depths, and those parts move on quite quickly. Lots happens in this book, but all of it feels necessary, and nothing feels like it’s just filler to pad out the story.

Loved that we got a taster for the next book too!

If this were fully fleshed out it could have been great. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The drama was OTT and unbelievable. Everyone just going back to normal life literally a couple of days after being kidnapped. The kidnapping itself. The resolution to the kidnapping. All happened in about 30 pages total. The drama with Gina and Max was kind of unresolved. And the “romance” between Adam, Troy, and Wes was barely there. We went from Adam and Troy assaulting Wes in a gym bathroom to them being trauma bonded and in love with a negligible amount of relationship building. I probably should have DNFd.

Okay I actually adore Adam, Troy and Wes together! I have loved this whole series, and I loved this MMM installment. Love the age gap and late bi-awakening aspects.

Their relationship does not start out traditionally, and there are a couple scenes with Adam and Troy with other people, but they aren’t detailed enough to be bothersome and are necessary for the development of the story.

Can’t wait for the next book!

Wow, I could not put this book down. We’ve met Westlake in the series before his brother is Fallon who is in a relationship with PJ. If I’ve got my hand on my heart west isn’t a character that I liked very much. He came across as a snob putting his beliefs on other people sometimes you know you think it was whether the right reasons but the way he comes across doesn’t help. He is going through a crazy period in his life his wife has been having an affair with his boss, they all work at the same hotel and he actually caught them in the act so they’re going through a divorce at the moment. He’s been ordered to leave her their house which she wants him to continue paying for even though Max their boss is moving in with her. His brother still isn’t really talking to him and two of PJ‘s escorting Friends, Troy and Adam are trying to humiliate him every turn. West has always come across as straight he got his wife pregnant the second time they slept together and was forced to marry sadly that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage and it seemed that they just couldn’t manage to have a baby together. Troy and Adam had basically run away from home age 16 & 17 they both had horrific childhood and decided living on the streets was better than living at Home now years later they both work for Brennan as escorts. They didn’t like the way that West treated their friend PJ so they set upon him and trying to show him that being a submissive wasn’t a hindrance being a submissive held the power.
There’s so much happening in this book. There’s a kidnapping forced drugtaking and a video being made that really opened West’s eyes. These three have this crazy connection is just electric whenever they’re together but you see a totally different side of West when you understand what he’s been through you understand him more. They all have such unique personalities, but when you put them all together, it just works these three have some sizzling passion, a chemistry that just makes them feel alive. This was a brilliant read. And I cannot wait for the next book in the series. And if you get a chance to read the bonus chapter, please do just a brilliant brilliant Read.
I got this book from the author and this is me leaving my honest review.

This is the 4th book in the Belle Argo Escorts series and it features Wes, Fallon’s brother and a real jerk about PJ from book 2, and Troy and Adam, two more of the escorts, younger with a shared history, attached at the hip, chaos demons in their own right. Wes is almost divorced, working at a job where his boss is involved with his ex, having an identity crisis at 42. When Troy and Adam waylay him in a gym locker room and start to toy with him, he doesn’t know what to do, but what’s worse is he likes it! Here he thought he was straight, never looked at a guy in his life, but these two were really causing a lot of self-doubt and self evaluation. As the two young men claim Wes (in Troy’s words to Adam, “I licked him, he’s mine. And what’s mine is yours”), in the background is a mystery involving employees going missing from the hotel, a mystery that pulls the three of them into a dangerous situation with an unexpected event that threatens everything, but one that solidifies their commitment to each other moving forward.

I really enjoyed the “in their head” thoughts, the teasing banter between Adam and Troy with Wes, the realization of all three that they were more alike than originally thought, and each filled a spot with the other two that had been missing in their lives. Wes learned a lot about himself and his need for control, and Troy and Adam enjoyed being the ones in control of Wes, able to understand and give him what he needed. I liked the comfort they drew from each other, and the possessiveness that helped lead to a change for all. The spicy times were hot with consent/non-consent always present between them. Basically, I adored these three and the dynamic they had together, and was very satisfied at the ending.

The appearance of some of the other escorts from previous books helped the continuity in the series (although the story of each couple can be read as a standalone), and it was interesting to get a glimpse at where some are now, like catching up with old friends.

There is a bonus scene offered at the end for readers, and the teaser for book 5 sounds intriguing, making me anxious for the next book to come out. I received an ARC from the author, and this is my voluntary review.

Once again Beth didn’t disappoint with this series! Wes, Adam and Troy brought the heat, the romance and the protectiveness.

After being in a loveless marriage for years and giving it his all to make his wife happy, Wes is finally done. He’s no longer wants to be his wife’s doormat in order to make up for his guilt.

Adam and Troy weren’t exactly what Wes had in mind when he decided to live his life on his terms. Especially given they were escorts and the very same type of men he berated his brother for being with.

Adam and Troy didn’t take Wes’s comments and behavior lightly and made it their mission to taunt him. They made sure to make Wes as uncomfortable as possible by invading his personal space and touching him.

But it backfired. What began as a taunt, quickly became something more primal. They both wanted Wes to be theirs and complete the part they were missing.

Adam and Troy had been through so much since they were young. They were each other’s lifeline at a time when they had no one else to care for them. Loving each other was as natural as breathing but it wasn’t until Wes that that love really began to grow.

It took a dangerous situation for Wes to realize that he was in fact attracted to both of them. He wanted what they both offered him and even though he tried to fight it, he loved being dominated. Relinquishing his control set him free in ways he never expected.

Falling in love with two men wasn’t something he saw himself doing. Yet he couldn’t imagine his life without these two men who gave him his life back.

"𝓦𝓮𝓵𝓵." 𝓦𝓮𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓼 𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓯𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓻𝓼 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓸 𝓶𝔂 𝓱𝓪𝓲𝓻 𝓪𝓰𝓪𝓲𝓷. "𝓘 𝓬𝓪𝓷'𝓽 𝓼𝓮𝓮 𝓯𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓲𝓷 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓼𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝓮𝓵𝓼𝓮 𝓘 𝓽𝓻𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝓮𝓷𝓸𝓾𝓰𝓱 𝓽𝓸 𝓭𝓸 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓼 𝓘 𝓵𝓲𝓴𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓫𝓸𝓽𝓱 𝓽𝓸 𝓭𝓸 𝓽𝓸 𝓶𝓮. 𝓨𝓸𝓾'𝓻𝓮 𝓼𝓽𝓾𝓬𝓴 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓶𝓮 𝓪𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓹𝓸𝓲𝓷𝓽."

This series just gets better and better! The next book has me salivating already! So ready for Michael and Dean.

Dubious!?! Maybe for others, but for me there is absolutely no doubt that's my favorite of all the books in the series so far.
Dark romance can have different nuances and flavors and the author has proven that excellently with all the stories connected in a perfect line. Dubious adds a shiny new star in my collection of favorite reads.
As I like to say small indie authors hide the biggest surprises. I really love interconnected books where the characters from the previous books don't fade away or make only brief cameos. Here we have a found family that leaves a palpable imprint on page and adds a layer of familiarity that makes the story even livelier, closer, more impactful.
Troy and Adam are characters I noticed in the previous books. I was impatiently waiting to see them shine brightly in their own story. Wes felt as natural as breathing in their complex dynamic. And do you know what what Lick it, then it's mine means? Troy and Adam definitely did a perfect example of it. These two mischievous, cheeky, resourceful male escorts made the reading experience exquisite.
My favorite part was how the triad was formed. It wasn't instant and easy. There were up and downs, hurt, comfort, doubts, self growth and a lot of adjusting but Troy, Adam and Wes went all in and it paid off at the end.
While the story is considered dark because of some serious sensitive topics and there is dub con generously sprinkled throughout, the banter, the humour and the writing made them a lot lighter and easier to deal with.
Thank you for this amazing book, Beth Christopher!

I was going to give this at least 2-3 stars until this line

"We’re together because Troy thought he was going to unalive himself one day and I’d need a replacement soulmate."

In the middle of an important argument we throw out internet censorship lingo? This book had human trafficking, multiple murders, and drug use and yet we censor this one instance? Completely took the heat out of the argument for me.

The MMM relationship felt more like a duo with a sidekick who drove the car for them. Like Adam was the most fascinating character and he was barely used, as a pov or other. He was pretty much relegated to the voice of reason character used to move troy and wes' relationship along.

I spent most of the book trying to figure out what the CNC scene was, every time something happened I was like is this it? surely this scene in the warehouse is it right? I briefly thought it was going to be the scene with the butter knife but that ended up seeming very consensual with just more dirty talk then they normally do. It just felt like more of the same but also a poor representation of that kind of play. Like the author wanted to write that kind of fantasy but then chickened out.

Wes also felt more like a masochist and less of a submissive. Like there was so much telling the audience he was submissive but very little showing it. He just came across as more of a bottom then a submissive. The counter top scene is really the only scene I can think of where he was submissive submissive and not just being a bottom.

Dubious - Beth Christopher
🌟 ♾️/5 🌟

* SPOILERS *

I don’t know what I was expecting but I certainly was not expecting how amazing this book was. Like I knew it was going to be a dark romance because let’s face it, Beth knows what she’s doing, but oh my, I wasn’t expecting all of that.

Also, even though this was a dark romance, I laughed so much in this book and I was here for every moment. From PJ and Fallon making me love the found family of Wes fitting his way into this group.

What I really loved was how Troy and Adam were just trying to g to get under Wes’s skin but man, when these three come together, it’s so freaking special.

All I’m going to say is Wes is a bada** because when you read a certain chapter, this is when you know this man will be as unhinged as his guys. As touch starved as Wes is, that one moment is when we all know he would do anything to protect his men.

Definitely read your trigger warnings because this does hit hard. I do love when a certain scene happens this is when these guys bond over what happens.

I also am a fan when it’s not just one character but multiple characters that have hit life hard. Also, I love how they named him Kitten and by the end of the book he gets a mama cat and her kittens. That was simply perfect in every single way.

I cannot wait for the next book. The teaser at the end was utterly incredible because it makes you want the book right away.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I have been lucky to have had the chance to read all the books in this series before this story came out. I have loved this whole series and can't get enough. I was a little surprised about reading a story that has escorts in it since I haven't read many till recently. Beth Christopher writes it so well that I loved it. Wes, Wes's life is falling to crap. At his age of 42, his wife leaves him. Most when this happens in their lives, they have family to help them get through, not Wes. His brothers barely talk to him. If that isn't crappy enough, the employees at the place he works, workers are disappearing. He is about at his wit's end, then walks in two male escorts that, believe it or not, know his brothers. Wes tells himself he should not have anything to do with these two men. Troy & Adam have had each other's backs since they were younger. They came from homes that were not the best, and they helped each other to get away from the toxic situation. The three of these men learn what they have been missing before meeting one another. I loved the unhinged kink and power dynamics in this story. I can't get enough of Beth Christopher's writing style. I didn't want this story to end. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

The Belle Argo Escorts series just keeps getting better and hotter! Wes is Fallon’s brother, who we met in the previous book Guardian, when Wes sets Fallon up with PJ, who is an escort. Wes and Fallon have a falling out in that book which leads us right up to where Dubious starts.

Wes’s life is falling apart. He is in his 40s getting a divorce, his brother is mad at him, and he feels stuck in his job. He is a manager at a luxury hotel, which is where Adam and Troy find him. Adam and Troy are friends and escorts in the same service as PJ. When they find Wes in the hotel gym’s locker room, they decide to have a little fun and put Wes in his place. After than run in, they decide it was a good time and keep messing with him. Over time, they decide that Wes is theirs and want to help and protect him.

Poor Wes also finds out after Adam and Troy start messing with him that he is not as straight as he thought he was.

Adam and Troy are friends from childhood that bonded through trauma. They’ve always been each other’s person, but they realize when they meet Wes that he was the person that they didn’t even realize they were missing.

There is an overarching trafficking plot that continues through this story, and I am excited to see where that goes in the next book. Michael and Dean’s book Payback is next, and it is a sister’s ex story!

Dubious was such an addictive mix of chaos, tension, and emotional healing wrapped up in a really engaging storyline. From the very beginning, Wes’s life feels like it’s completely unraveling, and watching him get pulled into Adam and Troy’s orbit made for such a compelling story.

I really enjoyed the late bi-awakening aspect and how naturally the relationship between the three of them developed despite all the mess happening around them. Wes is vulnerable, lost, and honestly a little stuck in his life, while Adam and Troy bring this chaotic but strangely grounding energy that completely changes everything for him. Their chemistry together felt intense, emotional, and surprisingly sweet at times too.

The mystery elements with the hotel and the darker situations they end up tangled in kept the story moving quickly, and I liked that the book balanced the heavier moments with humor and heat without losing the emotional core. Adam and Troy especially were such fun characters being a little unhinged in the best way, but deeply loyal to each other and eventually to Wes too.

Overall, this was a fast-paced, spicy, and entertaining read with plenty of tension, emotional moments, and a relationship dynamic that really worked for me. Definitely excited to continue with this series.

Dubious was such a fun addition to this series and honestly, I think the books just keep getting better.

While we've met Wes, Troy, and Adam before, this story works surprisingly well as a standalone. It jumps straight into the action with no unnecessary buildup, and from the start it's entertaining, spicy, and packed with tension.

I absolutely adored the dynamic between these three. Troy and Adam are chaotic, possessive, and completely devoted to each other, while Wes is a 42-year-old man having a full identity crisis after his marriage falls apart. Watching them slowly pull him into their orbit was both hilarious and surprisingly emotional.

One thing I really enjoyed was how much character growth Wes experiences throughout the story. His late bi-awakening felt authentic, and I loved seeing him learn more about himself while finding comfort, acceptance, and a place where he truly belonged.

There's also a mystery running through the background involving missing hotel employees, which added an extra layer of suspense without taking away from the relationship development.

The banter was fantastic, the chemistry between all three men was undeniable, and I found myself completely invested in their journey.

Dark Action, A Bit of Suspense Mixed with a Bit of Debauchery

Even though Dubious: A Dark MMM Bi Awakening Romance is book four in the series, it works surprisingly well as a standalone. Beth Christopher wastes no time; within a few pages, I was already thrown into a tense, violent moment that hooked me immediately. She’s great at slipping in backstory right when it’s needed, without bogging things down.

Some of that background might feel repetitive if you’ve read the earlier books, but it’s brief enough not to be annoying—and probably essential for anyone jumping in here.

If you’re unsure how you’ll handle the darker elements—violence, murder, consensual non‑con—this book isn’t overly graphic. The scenes are clear, but they don’t linger. Honestly, your imagination could take it further if you let it.

My only real critique is the pacing at the end. Like many action‑heavy stories, it rushes a bit to wrap everything up. Still, that doesn’t change my overall rating or enjoyment.

All opinions are my own.

THEY OBLITERATED THE WORD DUBIOUS!💕

“You know that old saying, ‘I licked it, so it’s mine?’ Well, I licked you. You’re mine now. Since I share everything with my best friend, that makes you his, too. Ours.”

Oh my goodness these chaotic little two demons Adam 22 and Troy 23 redeemed Wes in the most beautiful chaotic way!

The possessiveness, jealousy and games they played was very entertaining and sexy by the way they gave soon to be divorced Wes 42 his bi-awakening, discovered kinks and supported and comforted him during a horrific traumatic kidnapping!

“They make me forget all the serious shit I used to make myself miserable over. Turns out I like it fine when they’re the ones controlling me.”

The found family of escorts and their partners played a huge part in their journey to starting a throuple and discovering the mystery behind the missing hotel staff…

The next couple is Micheal and Dean and I look forward to their story next!

I voluntarily received an ARC from GRR for an honest non biased review.

I don’t give 5-star reviews very often, but Beth Christopher is one author who always seems to earn them from me! I loved this story. It had the perfect balance of dark romance, emotional depth, humour, and explosive chemistry. Wes, Troy, and Adam were incredible together, and I loved how their relationship developed through trust, tension, shared trauma, genuine care, and some really well-done spice. I loved the found-family dynamic and how previous characters continued to have meaningful involvement throughout the story. Wes stole my heart — from initially coming across as a bit of an a-hole because his entire life was falling apart, to slowly finding comfort, protection, and a place where he truly belonged. The banter between the characters kept the story fun and engaging, while the fast-paced plot and darker themes added intensity without overshadowing everything else. Thank you Beth Christopher, this series just keeps getting stronger.

I have never read a book like this before where there are three main characters who are so complex but somehow they work together.
I loved the storyline which is based on Wes, a man who is going through a divorce from his wife who cheated on him with his boss. The other two characters are Adam and Troy who are best friends, male escorts and who have been in each other lives since they were children. Their relationship appears to be complicated in the early stages of the book due to their job. However, as the storyline continues their relationship becomes more clearer.
Wes meets Adam and Troy through his work and his brother. From there, the storyline gets interesting where the three of them enter a relationship. That's where the emotions show up even more and the storyline became even more interesting.
The humour between the three of them is great, the spice is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, the storyline is really good and the book is fast paced.

A divorcé and two male escorts walk into a luxury hotel ….

Couldn’t put this one down!!
I was in a series I wanted to finish before starting this and I wish I would have just paused the series and got into this sooner! Full transparency, MMM hasn’t been a thing for me before. I read one and didn’t love it. I LOVEDDD THIS. The main characters are just so easy to love and root for.
Sweet, spicy, possession and a little mystery. 5/5 read for me for sure!

Can be read as a standalone and I haven’t read the previous books but I will be going back and reading any priors and anything after!

Tropes:
Trauma bonding, queer awakening, throuple, age gap, enemies to lovers, dude in distress, forced proximity, power dynamics, repressed desires, strategic seduction, unhinged hero vs “innocent” hero, kink awakening, troubled pasts, found family, consensual non-monogamy

To say that I am fully invested in the lives of the Belle Argo Escorts would be a gross understatement. And after the events of “Switch,” I was hesitant to give Wes a chance after the way he behaved. But I’m glad I did because man! Was this book something. It had a bit of a slow start, but boy, does it pick up.

Talk about pushing boundaries (Troy and Adam)! While I’m typically someone who loves consent, this was balanced just right for me.

I ended up relating to Wes (though I wasn’t happy about it at first). He’s only been with one person and when that marriage fell apart, it’s like his whole life crumbled too. Then in walks these two twenty-something escorts to flip his understanding of himself upside down.

This book has trauma bonding and little bits of domestic bliss. Definitely check it out.

The anger, the lust and the understanding in this book is phenomenal. This is more than a dark romance it’s twin souls finding each other - or in this case triplet souls.

It can be read as a standalone but for the full experience i would advise going to book one and starting there!

Wes is a judgemental, sad and lonely person or at least that’s how he comes across. In stead he is just the person with the weight of the world on his shoulders. When Troy and Adam find him they think they’re getting payback for their friend but what happens is stead is that the6 find their missing piece.

There are lots of possessiveness and jealous,y in this book so please read the trigger warnings and protect your mental health at all times.

Dubious is the 4th book in the Belle Argo Escorts series.
Every book just gets better and better
I loved Wes, Adam and Troy.

The chemistry between them all is brilliant even if it takes Wes some time to realise.

That was one hell of a prologue phew I was immediately obsessed with the book.

Wes is going through a lot in his life and what Adam and Troy had been through was really hard on them. Their backstory’s are so tough and as much as I loved Wes Adam and Troy are really something special!

Brilliant story if you’re into trauma bonding, kink awakening, queer awakening and a throuple this is very much for you. I also encourage you to read the books in order cos it makes them all make sense with the other characters from previous books

I’m not normally all that keen on MMM and it’s not something I normally read but this has changed my mind 100%

I can’t wait for Dean and Michael’s story this series is so good!!

I loved it! I loved their story and I loved the tension. This story is about Wes, Adam and Troy. I loved how Wes came alive in the presence of Adam and Troy and how he eventually asked for what a really wanted. But I did feel like Wes had one foot out the door the entire time, so that sucked. Adam and Troy are also broken boys. They ran away from home when they were still underage and they went through a lot. Adam and Troy were all in with Wes way sooner than Wes was. But it is understandable, because Wes was scared and confused and he never had these types of feelings for anyone let alone two boys half his age.
All in all, I really loved it and I'm looking forward to the next book.

P.S. I received an ARC, but this is my honest opinion. Thank you to GRR for the ARC.

This is my favorite of The B.A.E. Series so far!! I feel like Beth is the inner monologue queen! I just love every characters inner monologues in all her books! If you hated Wes previously (rightfully so) you HAVE to read this one!! He will forever hold a place in my heart and the three of them as a whole will always have a spot as one of my favorite book relationships! This had me feeling so sad for the characters but also so so happy for all of them. I loved the spice, the relationships, the action. Definitely recommend reading this if you love banter, spice, tragic back stories, love, action and some suspense!

I had the pleasure of getting an advance copy of this book by the Author.

Dubious is such a great read. When you start the book you are hooked. Wes is going through a divorce and a mid life crisis. He does something he would never.. well that’s until he meets Adam and Troy male escorts. But wait there’s more…
Adam and Troy are escorts but also have other professions. I enjoyed the banter between all of them the relationship. Who would have thought 3 mail in Scott’s with serious side jobs would be as emotional as Wes.
This book was great. You want a plot, spice some secrets and a bit of drama I would totally recommend this book

Dubious is about Wes, Adam and Troy. Wes has had rough few years as his wife left him and he lives in his workplace, where employees seems to disappearing. Adam and Troy are best friends and each other's ride or die.

This series gets better and better, I really liked these three together. We have meet these guys in the earlier books, and I can say I didn't like Wes very much what happened to his brother's boyfriend. But after this book I kind of understand him where he was coming.

Dubious is the fourth book of the Belle Argo Escorts series and the preview of the next book sound very good!

Whoa. This series gets better and better. We've met Adam. Troy and Wes in the previous books in the story. While there was a sense Adam and Troy were close, I don't know that I thought they were THAT close. When we first met Wes, he was such an %^$hole, so him becoming involved with the two hell cats was both crazy and exactly what he needed.

The mystery was well written. as was the entire book.

After reading the first book in the series, I've added this author as one of my favs. The book can be read as a stand alone but I think it's more enjoyable if the previous books have been read.

Ready for the next one.

Review of advance copy

The romance was sweet and supportive in its dark way. I liked all the characters and rooted for them. The MMM aspect was well balanced and interesting.

This book was dark; there was SA, trafficking and murder. But it all felt absurd so it didn’t upset me.

In the beginning, Wes took so much degradation from his ex that it was painful to watch. But the journey of an uptight sad man’s slow transformation into a sassy sub was quite fun. I wanted a more dramatic smackdown of his ex but it showed nuance that she didn’t stay a 2-D villain.

Michael and Dean’s book is next. I’m looking forward to Brennan’s book, he is a great character.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

I think I'd like to say it was at least 3 🌶🌶🌶 🙃 I totally didn't see i put the wrong chilli rating.

Dubious is the 4th book in the series featuring a different couple but an overachieving plot. I would say it can be read as stand alone but enjoyed better if you read the others. It took me on a journey I wasn't expecting and kept me at the edge of my seat I kept saying one more chapter at 1 am in the morning. Arc supplied by @gay.romance.reviews author @bethchristopherromance
I would say run 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ and read it !

Who would guess that Wes is just the person Troy and Adam needed? None of them would have believed it at the start of this book. Wes is going through a divorce with all kinds of complications involving his boss, their property settlement and every other possible stressor including mysterious things happening at the hotel he works at. It's very clear how and why Troy and Adam are as strongly bonded as they are and as we learn more about Wes and understand him better it becomes clear why he fits in so well. I really enjoyed this series entry - good relationships, nicely suspenseful.
