“Pitches & Pints” is the second book in the “Coach’s Playbook Series.” This story is a steamy small-town sports romance about an arrangement that refuses to stay casual. Dane Mercer has retired from the MLB, after an outstanding career as a pitcher. Benny Reed, the Lagerhead’s manager, has hired him as the team’s pitching coach. “This was the part I was still getting used to…watching instead of doing. I’d spent my career on the mound, trusting my own instincts, adjusting on the fly. Coaching was different. You couldn’t feel it for them. You had to see it, name it, and explain it in a way they understood.”
Tessa Bergmann owns a brewery and a Major League Baseball, the Lagerhead’s. When her father passed away, she inherited both business’s from him. Whilst out at training camp in Clearwater, Tessa could not help but admire the view, especially Dane….”He was wearing a performance shirt that left absolutely nothing about his shoulders or arms open to interpretation, and baseball pants that were doing the same unhelpful thing below the waist.” When their relationship turns physical, they agree that it will be for Spring Training Camp only and then they will both walk away….no strings attached. Will they both be able to walk away from each other….everyone around them can see them falling in love with each, but can they?

Once I started reading, I could not put this book down! The story will charm “the pants off you” and leave you going back for more. I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story. It has fun, laughs, intrigue, twists that you do not expect, and physical attraction. You cannot help yourself, you will fall in love with Dane and Tessa. This story will have you hooked the start to the end. From page to page, chapter to chapter, from cover to cover - you will enjoy this beautiful story! This book will not disappoint! Highly recommended 😊

If you’re like me and love baseball, hot coaches and strong female main characters, you will love this book. It’s book 2 in Tina Gallagher’s Coach’s Playbook Series. Tessa Bergmann along with her sister’s own Bergmann Brewery, Bergmann Stadium and the Lagerheads baseball team. Dane Mercer is the new pitching coach for Lagerheads.
I liked was how their relationship started and developed as you would expect it would given Tessa was Danes boss, both had busy careers, failed marriages and more. The story never felt rushed or drawn out, just real.
I have my fingers crossed that there will be more books in this series.

wrong story
This is the wrong book, this is Lineups and Lyrics, Ben and Quinn’s story. Pitches and Pints is suppose to be Dane and Tessa’ s story! Am I the only one with the mix up from Kindle Unlimited? As I was reading I thought this seems familiar and that is when I realized the mix up the title says it is Pitches and Pints but it is Lineups and Lyrics.

Dane & Tessa were so cute and definitely meant to be together! This spicy, sports romance was perfect!
