Every woman in the family has a secret. Tabitha is about to discover them all.As a teenager, Tabitha is unsure of many things, but she’s very clear on milking cows for the rest of her life is not the dream. Marriage, however, looks like the fastest way off her family’s dairy farm. Tabitha isn’t reckless enough to rush into courtship without a little research first. After all, one wrong decision could swap cows for a lifetime of different chores, and that’s not much of an upgrade. So she comes up with a plan. Before any serious interest begins, Tabitha sets out to visit her aunts—Wilma’s daughters—one by one. She isn’t looking for encouragement or warnings delivered with a smile. She wants the unvarnished truth. The stories that never got told. Her first stop is Aunt Mercy. And what Tabitha learns there makes her rethink everything she knew about marriage, family, and choosing a future.
Mercy launches Wilma’s Daughters, the third series set in The Amish Bonnet Sisters world. It can be read completely on its own—no prior books required.
Samantha Price is a USA Today bestselling author of Amish romance and cozy mysteries. Raised in the Brethren faith, she writes with a heartfelt understanding of the Amish way of life. When she’s not writing, Samantha enjoys quiet moments at home with her rescue cat and her fluffy white dog, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Snowy from the Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries.

This book was all about Mercy. Tabitha decides to ask her aunts questions she has about love and she starts with Mercy. Trouble starts with Tabitha asking questions and Mercy lets iit slip that she left Stephen once for three days. It’s a great book and readable in an afternoon.
Mercy is the first book in Ms. Prices’s new series, “The Amish Bonnet Sisters: Wilma's Daughters”. This series is about each daughter’s life after they left home, married, and had children of their own. Cherish’s daughter Tabitha, is up to her usual nosines. Tabitha decides she does not want to have to milk cows the rest of her life so she decides to ask each of her aunts about marriage. As she will soon see, some things are best left alone.
Tabitha’s first visit is to Aunt Mercy. In this visit, Tabitha opens a true can of worms.
What Tabitha learns is that marriage is hard work, if she is not very carefully, she could be exchanging milking cows for different chores.
Even after all the chaos she starts Tabitha decides to continue by next visiting her Aunt Honor. I cannot wait for that adventure to begin.
The characters are so realistic, and the plot moves along quickly. You are never bored.Ms. Price always does a superior job of storytelling.
Mercy will be released May 20, 2026 with the other books in the series to be released shortly. If you loved the bonnet sisters, you need to read this series also.
I was given ARC by the author, but all opinions are my own, and I was not asked to give a positive review.
Due to some medical issues I have not been reading much or reviewing but now that I am better and back I am reading all my favorite authors. Samantha is one on the top of my list. She sent me a copy of Mercy and welcomed me back. Thank you so much. If you have read the Bonnet Sisters you will remember Mercy growing up but now she is a mother and married. I remember when she met her husband she was not sure he was the one and then later in their marriage they had problems. She has been a person that sees things in darker colors and thinks she could always do better. Now the marriage is again in trouble and one of the nieces decides to take it upon herself to get involved and solve their problems. It's interesting to read how the Amish also have conflicts within the group and family and how they choose to handle such situations. These Bonnet books are so good and I know I have missed a couple so I am thinking of going back and reading the whole series again this summer. I know I will be just as please reading them now as I was when I first read them. If you have not read Samantha Price's stories it's a must for you to start one of her series. I also adore her series on the sisters who handle investigating mysteries.
This is the first book in this next NEW series, about Wima's daughters, from the Amish Bonnet Sisters series. Mercy, who is married to Stephen, becomes entangled in such a huge mess to do with her marriage, after simple questions are asked of her about relationships & marriage. From here, it seems like everything goes every direction, but the right one. Famiy snapping at one another, being short with each other, running & hiding from each other to avoid conflict too. This story wil have you on the edge of her seat, possibly defending one, saying they are purely innocent for just asking questions. Then you have others that get their feelings hurt by words that are said, coming out mean, and in the moment. All in all, you are going to glued to this one for sure!! I'm, already, looking forward to the next in the series!! I hope you enjoy as much as I did😊
***I received an ARC of this Book from te Author, and these are my own words, and opinions. I was not required to have to give a positive review. If you are familiar at all with the prior series, then you know!!***
Samantha Price's characters almost have become friends of mine. I start reading and I am right there in Wilma's living room enjoying the company.
There is always confusion and mishaps when Tabitha is around. This happens again in this story. Tabitha is determined to get married. It sounds a lot better than milking cows.
She thinks that if she does a little research she would find the answers to her questions. She started with her Aunt Mercy. Boy, did Tabitha open a can of worms.
What will Tabitha do next!?!? I love that she always up to shenanigans, chaos and mayhem just like her mother at her age. I’ve been a huge fan of The Bonnet Sister’s since the beginning. I loved that we have been able to follow the sisters from young girls to adults who married and moms. This highly anticipated new series of each sister starting with Mercy has been nothing short of the fun, dramatic adoring family we have all grown to love. I can’t wait for the others.
I am so happy that we have another series that continues the legacy of the Bonnet Sisters that I have grown to love and feel as if are family over the years. Now with the sisters grown and families of their own this series begins a revisiting of them all through the eyes of Cherish's teenage daughter as she navigates young adult life and her journey to find what love and marriage truly are about.
I enjoyed the first book of this series. At least this first book really didn’t leave any cliffhangers to see what would happen next. I have been reading a few books like that lately. I like the series books, but some of them have closure by the end. Others you need to wait until the next book. I am looking forward to book 2 from this series.
I am so excited about this new series and to say it started off with a bang is an understatement! Heart wrenching, heart healing moments throughout were the perfect balance to a memorable and inspirational story. Another wonderful book by a wonderful author!
Mercy feels like she "settled" for Stephen. Stephen loved her and she just couldn't see it. It took a crisis in her family, to show her how much he loves her and always had. This is a wonderful beginning to what promises to be another outstanding series!
Just a great confined story of the Bonnet Sisters that I have totally enjoyed. Hope you keep writing about them. Thank you for another great read. Waiting on Honor to drop
I love the Bonnett sisters series. I read the Mercy #1 very good reading. Honor is coming out June 3rd cannot wait. Will be very sad then she has no more of these series coming.
