Amazon Apocalypse 6

Strength can win any fight, but some wars can't be fought with strength alone.

The world ended, and I never wanted to be emperor of the ruins. But power doesn't ask for permission. If I don't step up and put things right, someone worse will.

Since the integration, I've forged Crownhill from a shelter of desperate survivors into the heart of a budding empire. Now we can protect not just ourselves, but bring others under our banner for shelter and strength.

With our success have come schemers, parasites, and social climbers of all sorts. I can no longer afford to remain in my mountaintop castle, looking down at the world below. To keep what I've built safe, I'll have to get my hands dirty and accept the throne I never wanted.

Some of Crownhill's newer citizens have ambitious plans, and they'll use my people as tools for personal gain if I let them.

Sakura's father is out there, and we finally have a lead. I promised Sakura we'd find him, and I intend to make good on that promise.

My body still bears the lingering effects of draconification. If I want to avoid involuntarily transforming again, I'll need to make careful preparations for A-Grade.

Most of all, though, Bridget is pregnant. The title of Emperor is scary enough. The title of father is even more terrifying.

Excellent continuation of a stellar series

I have come to know what I can expect from these stories now. This one offers much of the same, which is no bad thing. The prose is somewhat informal and meandering, but there is so much plot and character to be found in this book that it's only a minor nitpick. I think the style works well enough because it's written in the first person. This entry was a little light on the romance but the developments and revelations were enough to keep me hooked. I'd be giving this 5 stars if not for occasional grammar and punctuation mistakes.

I may just be getting a bit tired of the series, so some of the more idiosyncratic things in the book didn't land as cleanly for me this time. It's a good read, but long. Fortunately enough stuff is happening to push the plot along, and it looks like there are plenty of challenges ahead. One of those will be controlling the size of the polycule and managing two uber-powerful women who hate each other.

It’s insane that no one contested the fact that Bridget unilaterally decided to get herself pregnant thereby skipping to the front of the line without consulting her fellow harem members. No to mention ignoring Carter’s wishes and sabotaging their magical birth control in an act of pregnancy coercion, which he accepted as if was all his fault. This all leads to the weirdness surrounding the baby itself, which I could have done without. Otherwise, this book was ok. Of course, we are left hanging waiting for the teased rank-up until next time (hopefully).

Inconsistent

A step backwards in quality. Basically everything to do with the Oni was not only a letdown but frustratingly bad. The rest of the story was still equal to the previous books quality. However, again, the Oni storyline was so poorly done I would rather Sakura was dropped from the story before slogging thru another plot hole riddled bribery arc.

When one's powers start to reach Godhood as with Carter, how does one interact with those who have never advanced past basic levels. This author helps solve this problem by having Carter assume a new identity of a lower-level adventurer and travel with a group of D or C ranked adventures on a stealth mission to one of the newly integrated shard. In another adventure he hides his true levels with a disguise cloak, as he and Myrina meet with some fanatics of another shard. Since the people were cultivators that had fled and ended up in the system, I would have thought that his cultivator harem member (I'm drawing a blank on her name) would have been a better choice.
Sakura wants to find her father and so they go on that quest. Once again Carter is hiding his levels. When they do find her father and she introduces Carter to him, a bit of awkwardness follows because they aren't married. They are in a committed harem, in which nobody would leave, so I wondered why haven't they gotten married. Bridget decides she wants to get pregnant without running it by any of the other harem members, or by Carter. When she breaks the news to Carter, he runs away for 24 hours. I get that there is nothing to be done now, and even though they are in a relationship, with no marriage, the best thing that can happen is go forward and embrace this incoming bundle of joy. I also don't understand how each of the six wives can be crazy about the baby, but why nobody else is crazy to have a baby of their own. Once again this is a fantasy novel where a single man can have sex so many times in a row that he entirely satisfies and wears out each of the women of his harem, often the same night.
All in all, it is still a very good book with lots of action and a very good read.

Huge load of plot!

This is a very long book and so much happened I'm probably going to have to read it again later before the next one comes out in case I missed anything, as with most of Mr. Knights book they very much have extremely power scaling and very much big picture with many "zoom in" moments to ground it. This book is better than the last with many more good small moments, a lot more time spent with the ladies and other interesting characters. The side quests were great and not overly drawn out and the stuff that happened with the main plot was entertaining as well. I'm looking forward to the next one. These are huge books so I know when the author says "coming soon" that usually means like 6 months but hopefully I'm wrong.

Seems like the series is being tracked on

I get carter supposed to grow in strength and not be like this OP Main character But the simple fact that he's finding enemies everywhere he turns like the old government You sense there's a problem there Why not go after it And drag those people into the light and show the scheme that they're doing And erase them Leaving people to be become bigger problems in the future I'm not a writer But it makes no sense Most of this book could have been Carter Solidifying his power Now he's got more factions after him That's putting his family in danger

a very good and intricate story with lots of OP ideas.

The MC , Carter and his harem visit various worlds in both system and cultivator space as Earth’s integration continues. Carter fights across multiple dimensions and gains mentorship from A ranked demi-gods, which is good, because he soon faces A ranked void monsters as his ascension continues. The system continues to help him out, while even A ranked women become interested in him. But chaos gods await their chance to terminate him.

Complex and interesting plot

This book is very plot-driven. The plot is interesting and good. New characters and their relationships with the MC and each other are interesting as well. Unfortunately, this does pull almost all focus away from the existing romance. Even sex scenes feel obligatory rather than sexy or romantic.

It's still a very fun read, but not what I expected from this series.

Great book and series.... still

Still a fun series. This book is no different. No shortage of content here. The MC is playing in the big leagues of the multiverse. He is on the cusp of A rank, But there is a lot to do before evolution. More adventures and a baby keep him busy but the forces aligned against him are rallying as well. As usual in this series the harem is present but muted To much multiverse to deal with but I really enjoy this series.

just love this series

Can’t wait to see Carter kick some ass next book, also eagerly awaiting the return of favorite tomboy princess now queen. Also looks like troubles brewing but that’s just business as usual. Wonder what Adrian’s gonna get up to once older though. So many questions to be answered next book

great

The second best entry into the series besides the first. It is a lot of fun, fast paced adventure that keeps you hooked. The spicy scenes are not crude but lend enough to keep you interested

hero’s Quest

I have read several multiple wife stories but this one keep them balanced. The balance between to much or to little in the details of the sex seance. The overall story of the character development and growth in the integration was a fun read.

Loved it!

It was a pleasure to get to see Carter and friends in action again. As always it’s so good that it feels too short, can’t wait to see the next challenges awaiting out heroes.

Emperor of the Universe

Carter has studied the secret arts and won the respect and awe of countless A grade and higher levels of persons. His child however has gained his abilities and will surpass his knowledge and powers. Can’t wait for more.

The thrills and action just keep getting bigger and wilder. Always adding new characters, both friend and foe. Now just have to wait for number 7 to be ready.

Good, but....

I love the plot and the story so far, but the amount of chapters in the book make it difficult read it continuously

Starting to drag

The series remains decent but things are going too perfect for Carter. Also the powercreep is real it goes from B ranks are super rare to they are freaking everywhere real fast.
