The Countdown to Us

Rate this book
Leo Charleston is a former pro ball player and current playboy. Settling down has never been on his radar. Despite what his big, respectable family has to say, he likes his life exactly the way it is. That is, until he sets his sights on Tamera. She happens to be his older brother’s girlfriend’s sister, which makes her officially off-limits. He is told in no uncertain terms to leave her alone, but Leo has never been one for following rules.

Tamera is bold, beautiful, and impossible to ignore. When Leo shows up unannounced on New Year’s Eve morning, insisting on a marathon first date, she should tell him to go home. Instead, she says yes.

As the year begins, they need to decide whether a fresh start is worth the risk.

❤️

This was fun good banter and awkward like a first date should be. I love that they negotiated and renegotiated.

Romance tag: open door
CN: unwanted touch/harassment from a stranger

I believe this is an interconnected standalone (connected to The Thesis of Us).

I didn't realize that so I jumped in with this story.

Now, did I enjoy it- yes!

First date, spice, banter, culture- all so incredible to read about.

Now is it necessary to read "The Thesis of Us", no.

However, I want to go back and read that for a few reasons.

1. I enjoyed the author's writing
2. Referenced the couple for that book in this one
3. I want to read this couples FIRST meeting.

Regardless of which book you start with, I definitely recommend reading this one
