"A supremely confident introduction to a world of wonder, whimsy and absolute horror. Exquisite, charming, essential." —Kieron Gillen, We Called Them Giants, The Wicked + The Divine
"Equal parts amusing and bone-chilling. It's also a really beautiful looking book, with Azaceta commanding two very different moods across the issue. " —GamesRadar

Previously, he wrote The Punisher, Uncanny X-Force, Captain America and Uncanny Avengers for Marvel Comics.
The weird carnival continues. People are becoming addicted to looking into magic mirrors that show them living their best lives while in fact they are wasting away. An obvious metaphor for smartphones?
Fun, creative, and a quick read. Seasons is a good series if you are looking for something unique but also just a breeze to read. I will guess to say that Remender did not want to make some elaborate read but stuck to his creative wheelhouse and made a good story.
volume 2 is still fun and Spring is trying to convince Winter to help her find autumn. Guess what Spring finds Autumn and her parents but it does come out as planned. No spoilers but the sisters are getting caught and released in an unpredictable fashion. In the end Spring gets some bad ass garb and starts kicking ass. Winters take a turn for the worse, to be continued. If I had one wish it would have been a better artist, panels feel rushed and messy but oh well.
I was hopeful for this series after volume 1, but even after another four issues, it still feels like it's going nowhere and the characters are too cute (twee!) to be believed. The art is the strength here. I'm not sure if I'll be back for volume 3, even though this is a Remender comic and he's one of my favorites...
The Seasons Vol. 2 sees Azaceta, Remender, et al. continue to craft a unique sisterly family drama wrapped in surreal candy-colored adventures. The mysterious worldbuilding, nutso action, and genuine creep-outs should pull in fans of Sandman, The Wicked & The Divine, and Umbrella Academy. Imagine Tim Burton meets David Lynch with a twist of Miyazaki!
