The safest place they have ever known is crumbling apart.
River Ward just wanted to live a simple life with his mentor, away from the overbearing Sorcerers Guild and angered fanatics. Yet the arrival of her new prodigious apprentice, Skye Arkwright, shattered all semblance of comfort and a fierce rivalry rocked their once quiet routine.
But when the Emerald of Cinisia weakens, their power grows unstable, and Sorcerers across the continent fall into a deadly slumber. On the run from zealots, a hired hunter, and predatory creatures; River and Skye risk traversing the uninhabited mountains beyond the walls of the city to find the Guild’s elusive headquarter in search of a cure. If they fail, their power will be lost for good.
Time is running out for the apprentices; can they work together to save their mentor and their Sorcery?
