letting Cedar Falls help you find yourself

Elias and Gabby have ended up in Cedar Falls because it was a safe place to land. Both for different reasons. They come and find family in teammates, coaches, coworkers and coffee shop co-owners that are her best friends from childhood. The banter and one liners are top notch. There’s so much depth. The found family is supportive and even when they don’t have the whole story they know the person underneath and trust them. Elias is the still silent type that analyses everything. Gabby is the sunshine in the room that diffused everything with kindness and joking. They both have learned to find their place and stay small and manageable within it. However, both of them still see the heart of the matter in every room. They start to realize that what your face shows is not always what your heart holds. So they both work to get to the heart of what they want out of life when they stop living small.

Gabby and Elias' Story

The third book in the series features the enigma center, Elias Cross and one of the owners of the local coffee shop, Gabby Hart.
Elias is the quiet, strong 31 year old hockey center. He is completely controlled and the reason for his silence is eventually disclosed. He slowly falls in love with Gabby.
Gabby is one of the three owners of The Daily Grind. She is also a nursing intern, rooming with the sister of the FMC of the first book in the series, Jane Cooper. Fortunately Jane returns in this book.
The book is longer than it needs to be. Gabby is too cute and sarcastic as a defense but it was enough to move my rating from 5 to 4 stars. I look forward to future books about the players.

Love Emma Bloom’s Books

Another great Cedar Falls Hockey book. Elias and Gabby definitely brought the spice, character chemistry and complicated storyline. Love all the back characters showing up in this series

Choppy Writing

Story was good and the spice was excellent. However, the writing was very choppy and often made this difficult to read. I realize that the choppiness often occurred during the banter but where it wasn’t banter, it threw me off a bit.

Loved it

I've become addicted to Emmas books. So good, great stories, enough caring spice and laughter. Start the journey with Cedar Falls, it's amazing.
