In this high-stakes installment of the Steele Ridge romantic suspense series, a no-nonsense sheriff and a superstar quarterback must untangle obsession and conspiracy before an unseen enemy turns their sizzling attraction into a death sentence.
Maggie Kingston is a woman working in a man’s world…and doing a damn good job, too. Being Steele Ridge’s first female sheriff isn’t easy. Especially when your cousins are magnets for trouble. The Steeles do everything the hard way, but Maggie’s tougher than she looks. Nothing shakes this sheriff. Until her cousin Grif brings one of his superstar players—and the accompanying media circus—to town. The press can’t get enough of the sexy quarterback. And neither can Maggie…
Jayson Tucker devoted his whole career to the New York Knights. So when the team takes a rookie’s side over his after a locker room brawl, he tries to find refuge from the spotlight. Except reporters aren’t the only ones after him. Someone wants Jayson benched. Permanently. When the threat becomes deadly, hiding won’t be enough. And in Steele Ridge, security comes in the luscious form of its gorgeous, no-nonsense sheriff.
Jayson’s always fought his own battles. The closer he gets to Maggie, the less he’s willing to risk her being caught in the crossfire. Yet Maggie is no damsel in distress. She’s more than capable of keeping her town—and her man—safe. But can she say the same about her heart?

A enjoyable, light read - the first book I've read by the author and one that has ensured I will read more.
Maggie Kingston is Steele Ridge’s first female sheriff and a fab one she's looking forward to her upcoming vacation, especially as it's the first in years, but when her cousin brings one of his superstar players (Jayson Tucker) — and the accompanying media circus—to their small town, Maggie is kept on her toes both professionally and personally.
Jayson devoted his whole career to the New York Knights, allowing them to cultivate a media persona that doesn't really reflect him or childhood he lived. So when the team takes a idiot rookie’s side over his after a locker room brawl and throw him to the wolves he takes refuge in Steele Ridge. Except the reporters aren’t the only ones after him.
Good chemistry between Maggie and Jayson. Enjoyed the glimpses of Maggie's family we see in this book. Maggie's siblings seem like a hoot and I'm looking forward to reading each of their stories.

Craving Heat by Adrienne Giordano First in a spin-off of the Steele Ridge multi-author series. Can be read as a stand-alone. Romantic suspense. Great chemistry with this couple. Sheriff Maggie is in charge of the town of Steele Ridge. She’s strong, independent and dedicated to her job. She’s just a little infatuated with the hot stud of a football player Jayson Tucker. Maybe a little dalliance, heck, some hot sex is just what’s needed while he’s in town.
This is the author that drew me to the first series. Engaging. High speed action and energy. No dull spots. A couple where both are alphas but they work through the issues. Sexy and charismatic. Family closeness is key to the series and brings satisfaction in them working together to resolution while supporting each other. And with this author just a touch of humor. Loved it.
Excerpt: “Is that where the camera caught the guy?” Maggie nodded. “Reid keeps emergency supplies in there.” A good idea, but seeing the perfection of this land, even after the shooting this morning, Jay couldn’t wrap his mind around it being anything but peaceful. “It’s amazing up here.” “This morning aside, there’s sanctuary here. I try to hike every weekend.” Every weekend? Did that mean… Forget asking around about her dating habits. She’d given him the opening he’d walk right through. “Who do you hike with?” Was he fishing? You bet. Pathetic? You bet. Did he care? Not a lick. “Usually, I’m alone.” Could there be a more perfect answer? Not in this lifetime. “That’s a shame.” Even if did make him happy.” Excerpt From Craving Heat by Adrienne Giordano This material may be protected by copyright.
Maggie Kingston is a woman working in a man’s world…and doing a damn good job. She's Steele Ridge’s first female sheriff and is the one person everyone goes to when they have a problem that needs solving. She's unshakeable, that is until her cousin, Grif brings one of his superstar football players to town.
Jayson Tucker has devoted his whole career to the New York Knights. So when the team takes a rookie’s side over his after a locker room brawl, he takes refuge from the spotlight. Except someone wants him benched permanently. Then the threat becomes deadly and hiding won’t be enough.
Because of his past, Jayson’s always fought his own battles. His past drives him to need to keep control over his life. But the closer he gets to Maggie, the more he feels his control disappearing. Is he willing to share his secrets and open up to Maggie? Yet Maggie is no damsel in distress. She's used to being in charge and calling the shots. Can they find some middle ground? Or will they just always clash? Maggie's more than capable of keeping her town—and her man—safe. But can she say the same about her heart?
This is a good light read full of chemistry, action and plot twists whilst talking about some hard subjects as well as reminding you not to judge people by what you read in the media and highlighting how hard it can be for a woman in a previously man's world. I really liked all the characters but Maggie is a great role model for women.
Craving Heat by Adrienne Giordano The Kingstons #1
Maggie is sheriff of her town and does a great job though she has always had a secret dream of more. Jayson has worked hard to achieve success as a quarterback in the NFL. Both have responsibility and do well in their jobs but sometimes giving everything to your job means you may not have much of a private life. Jayson finds himself suddenly on the outside looking in, relying on his agent for a safe haven and meeting Maggie and a family like none he has ever been around…a loving, caring, there-for-one-another family that he truly admires. His sister running into trouble while he is dealing with issues of his own makes for more complications as Maggie and he sizzle with attraction for one another. With two dominant take-charge alphas in a couple it is not always easy but finding a way to a HEA is on the table as they fight the bad guys, thwart death and find more than romance together.
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
This book is the offshoot of the series, the Steele Ridge books by various authors. I really enjoyed all those books, and it looks like a new series may be unfolding with related characters. Adrienne Giordano is the author of this book and it is about Maggie, who is a Steele family cousin and also the town sheriff. Her cousin, Griff, one of the original Steele brothers, is an agent for a football player who has run into trouble, and is hiding out from publicity in Steele Ridge, this little mountain town near Asheville, NC. A fun book for me because I am from NC. This is definitely a standalone but it was fun to read about characters from previous books, and also to visit the small town. I enjoyed the personalities of both Maggie and Jay, the football quarterback. They both had some trust issues and it played out very well during the story. Very enjoyable for me.
Maggie Kingston is a character that grabbed my attention. She's a strong, powerful woman who doesn't need a man to save her. Case in point she's the first female sheriff of Steele Ridge. When she meets super star quarterback Jayson Tucker who's in town to lay low, she feels a powerful attraction. Things get interesting when someone tries to hurt him. Maggie along with the Steeles are determined to find the perpetrator. I enjoyed this story. It's full of people that I cared about along with plenty of action. I was surprised by the twist at the end. Craving Heat is a great start to this new series. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.
LOVED this book! In this novel, we finally learn Maggie's story and meet Jay, the yummy, but damaged, quarterback. They are great together and I was totally engrossed in their tale.
This is the first book in the Steele Ridge spin off series focusing on the Kingston's (cousins to the Steeles). However, it is a stand alone novel. I loved the Steeles' story and loved this book and can't wait to read the next one.
Fans of the genre will love this and want to put it at the top of their TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.
Another great book in this series! Maggie Kingston is the Sheriff of Steele Ridge and cousin to the Steele brothers. Everyone comes to her for help and she is always ready to help out. Her cousin Griffin manages Jayson (Jay) Tucker a quarterback football player for the New York Knights. He is the spokesperson for a non profit agency against violence. Jayson has been with his team for years, but is in his late 30’s so the team has him mentoring a younger quarterback. Unfortunately this new quarterback is trying to get rid of Jayson, and after something that happens the two get in a fight in the locker room. The head of the team takes the newbie’s side and Jayson is let go. He also loses most of his advertising contracts. Then the non profit that he has helped bring in all kinds of donations tells him that don’t want anything to do with him, but they will still let his sister Sam work there. Jayson has always taken care of Sam since their dad left when they were younger and their mother was a mean drunk that beat up on Jayson. Grif has Jayson come to Steele Ridge to stay at his mom’s house and work out at the facility they built there while Grif finds another team for Jayson.
His popularity brings a lot of media to town when they find out where he is which causes trouble for the Sheriff. Maggie meets with Grif and Jayson to see what she needs to do to keep the town quiet and trouble free. There are also threats against Jayson that she needs to keep apprised of. This close contact brings the two together and sexual sparks fly between the two. Maggie is very strong willed which attracts Jayson, but also causes some problems. Jayson’s childhood causes some problems between the two. There is someone trying to kill Jayson and there is problems with someone embezzling money from the non profit agency. I loved how Maggie and Grif’s family all stand behind Jayson and Sam. They never had that kind of unconditional love and support from their family. I also enjoyed watching Maggie and Jayson learn what buttons not to push on each other. I loved the book, and strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
I love that Maggie Kingston's story is first--she's a female sheriff! And her cousin Reed's main competition for the family record on his training center's absolutely insane obstacle course! (She spends the entire novel trying to beat his time, but I'm not going to tell you if she makes it. You've got to read it yourself to find out. :D) Jay is the perfect match for her--she's the only woman on the planet who will call him on his crazy, and he's the only guy that can make her see that yes, sometimes she does go a little too far when she thinks she and only she knows the *right* way to get things fixed. (Okay, her mom and another cousin helped her here too. But it's Jay that made her reconsider in the first place.) Together they're just awesome--and his inner fixation with her handcuffs made me LOL. Every. Time.
The suspense part of the plot was solid--even though, looking back I can see that there were some clues to who the bad guy was, I still didn't suspect until we found out for sure. I loved that Ms. Giordano had Maggie use cutting edge technology to find out who was behind it all, too--very timely!
Since this is the first in this spin-off series, you could absolutely start your Steel Ridge binge-read here. Many (most? maybe even all? I lost track) of the original series characters at least get a mention here, and several play a role in the story, but you don't have to have read their books to enjoy this one. A word of warning, though--chances are that seeing them all interact here (I. Love. This. Family!) will increase your TBR dramatically. Not that this is a problem...and hey, it will give you something to do until the next series book comes out :)
Rating: 4 stars / A-
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The hot small town sheriff and the superstar football player make for a great romantic couple in Craving Heat by Adrienne Giordano. If you have read the Steele Ridge series, you need to give The Kingstons a read. If you haven't, well, this is the first book in the new series, so this one is for you, too. Giordano entertains her readers with another book filled with suspense, fun, and romance!
Maggie Kingston is the youngest sheriff in Steele Ridge history and feels like she constantly has to prove herself. She takes care of everyone in the county, but who will take care of her? Jayson Tucker is a professional football player looking to lay low for a bit while a potential scandal rocks his world. He is is enjoying his time away from the big city and a lower pace to life. Maggie and Jayson are able to give each other exactly what the other one needs. Their chemistry is undeniable and Giordano does a great job of balancing out their romance with the rest of the story.
The conflict in the book is intriguing and I am always excited to watch Giordano unfold a mystery. There is a lot going on in Craving Heat and it keeps the reader interested and flipping pages knowing the story could take off in several directions. I couldn't wait to get to the end yet didn't want it to end. I always enjoy supporting characters and Reid and Grif from the Steele Ridge series show up in Craving Heat quite a bit, which is great. If you like romantic suspense, give Craving Heat a read. You will fall in love with the characters and enjoy the story from beginning to end.
Love when she least expects it! If you've been a fan of the Steele Ridge series, you will most definitely recognize the heroine of this book as the Steele family cousin, Maggie. She's always riding to the rescue when they need it, and this first book in the spin-off series about her family The Kingstons is no different. She might have met her match this time in a take charge alpha male that gives her a run for her money! I loved them together! Great read, and I'm looking forward to more of the sibling stories!
Maggie Kingston has her job cut out for her as the Sheriff in Steele Ridge, but as we've seen time and time again from seeing her clean up after her trouble-attracting cousins, she's up to the challenge! When Grif brings one of his high-powered clients to town, it brings a media circus like the town has never seen before and leads to problem after problem for Maggie. She'd be even more mad about it ... if she wasn't enjoying every sexy inch of this guy so much!
Quarterback Jayson Tucker just had his career crumble down around him after a moment of anger towards a teammate in the locker room played out in front of the media. He's trying to pick up the pieces of the betrayal by the team he's put his all into for all of these years, and finding out there's something shady going on with a charity endorsement is just icing on the cake. Danger seems to be rearing it's ugly head in his direction, and the law in Steele Ridge makes it her personal mission to make sure every inch of him is protected ... and lusted after!
I bought this book free on bookbub which I am going to have to cancel my membership to since this is the 2nd book that totally sucks. This has a 4.3 star and I can't say I understand why. This should be a 1.5 star if anything. I know a few good Authors that can write a romantic suspenseful book but Giordano isn't one. Or at least this book. First of all, I am all for a Sheriff who is a bad ass and can take care of herself. A woman with priorities and responsibilities like no other. What I can't handle is a football star who is a control freak and seems to me, very immature. He needs help. Like seriously. I had to stop reading by chapter 9. The whole love thing with Maggie and Jay is forced, too soon really. There isn't a building a relationship and then falling in love. This is not like the Notebook. Not by a long shot. It's like it was a one night stand between them without the sex, it's just forced. I can't help but dread to read this book. I had to stop. The so called "action" was with a woman with a knife and then a hiking trip gone sour by someone with a gun. The whole "investigation into it" falls flat. There isn't a suspenseful moment. No adrenaline whatsoever. Not a page Turner.
I don't know what else to say other than...I need a break and find a different book and a different Author.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I've loved Maggie since the first time I came across her in the Steele Ridge series, and I was so ready to read her book. Adrienne Giordano did not let me down with the strong, spunky character that is Sheriff Maggie Kingston or with Jayson Tucker, the hunky football quarterback that shakes up her world, both in her professional and personal life.
Jayson Tucker is on the outs with his professional football team but his agent knows just the place to hide him away while they figure out what to do. Steele Ridge. Like a whirlwind, he rolls into town only to have to facedown the town's beautiful sheriff to explain what kind of security measures they'd need to keep him safe.
To say Maggie isn't pleased to have the hotshot quarterback in her town is an understatement. She has a vacation planned and has every intention of going, but she also has to help out her cousin with hiding his client so he doesn't get hurt. Little does she know what kind of scandal she's about to be embroiled in.
The twists and turns in the Maggie X Jayson romance are many and most of them are outside of their control. The ones that aren't, like learning to trust each other, have frequent setbacks that are worked through with maturity and conversation even when hotheads prevail.
Craving Heat was most definitely HOT but it was also a great mystery with a twist at the end that you won't see coming!
When an author creates an off-shoot to a series I like, I always hold my breath until I know that it is as good as the original. Is Steele Ridge: Kingstons is good as the first books in the series? My vote is an unequivocal, YES. Depth of character, an exciting plot, and enough steam to sweeten your dreams for nights to come make this newest release a true winner for the outstanding Adrienne Giordano. All of the Steele Ridge cousins are around and just as tough and hilarious together as always. Tough Sheriff Maggie Kinston doesn’t fall easily but once she does, she is gone…and not fighting it has hard as I expected. One bad moment has turned star quarterback Jayson Tucker into a pariah as the team execs refuse to stand up for the man who has led their team and kept them in balance for years. An old man in football years, Jayson should have still had some playing time left and he wants every minute and Griff is determined to get it for him but someone seems to be working against them. Jayson may be the stuff sweet dreams are made of but the flood of media is more of a nightmare for one small town sheriff. I requested and received an ARC of Craving Heat from the author intending to review it because I love all of Ms. Giordano’s books. Now I can add one more to that list!
No matter the genre that this author writes in, she excels in writing stories that have you engrossed and engaged from the opening paragraph, and then rapidly turning pages. Around every corner is the unexpected, she is definitely the type of storyteller who has a surprise or two waiting in the wings. This first book in the new series, an extension to the Steele Ridge series, involving the Kingston cousins, is no exception. It is a delight that the Steele and Kingston families are weaved together throughout the story.
With her telltale gift of mixing drama and suspense with the perfect amount of playful humor and banter, Ms Giordano has given Maggie her own much deserved story. Pairing her with a professional athlete in the form of Jayson Tucker was the perfect compliment to Maggie’s strong female presence. Their story will take you through twists and turns involving different factors and characters all playing strong roles in tying all the aspects together in such a fashion to bringing about the perfect conclusion, to the drama and for the couple themselves.
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
This is a great book; this is the first book in the Steele Ridge: The Kingstons series written by Adrienne Giordano. Being Steele Ridge’s first female sheriff isn’t easy. Especially when your cousins are magnets for trouble. The Steeles do everything the hard way, but Maggie’s tougher than she looks. Nothing shakes this sheriff until her cousin brings one of his superstar players and the accompanying media circus to town. The press can’t get enough of the sexy quarterback. And neither can Maggie. Jayson Tucker devoted his whole career to the New York Knights. So when the team takes a rookie’s side over his after a locker room brawl, he takes refuge from the spotlight. Except reporters aren’t the only ones after him. Someone wants Jayson benched. Permanently. When the threat becomes deadly, hiding won’t be enough. And in Steele Ridge, security comes in the luscious form of its gorgeous, no-nonsense sheriff. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.
This is the first book in The Kingstons series of Steele Ridge. While it is not necessary to read the Steeles, it does help to know the characters and the roles they played in their respective books.
Maggie is the County Sheriff - a job that is dominated mostly by men. She loves her job, most days, and when a hot shot football player rolls into town, things will be challenged - on both her job and her private life.
Jayson is a star quarterback. He had it all, then things started crashing down around him. On the advise of his agent, Grif Steele, he comes to Steele Ridge to wait out the storm. Only the storm follows him.
I loved the tension between Maggie & Jay. The hot football player and the female Sheriff. A lot of the dynamics in the story can be related to ones personal life - learning to set boundaries, learning to listen to what your partner is saying, and building the trust between the two of you. These dynamics cause a lot of tension that causes the push and pull between Maggie & Jay.
I really enjoyed this story and I'm looking forward to reading about all the Kingstons!
WOW! What an intriguing story. Being in sports can be risky business. Jason just found out how risky. He was cut from his team and his agent suggested he go to Steele Ridge to get things back on track. Maggie is still having to deal with the idea of being sheriff and she tries to help everyone instead of herself and that now includes Jay. As the story progresses, the situation gets dicier as well as steamier. Maggie and Jay find they definitely have chemistry together but both seem to want to be the alpha in their relationship. We find out who the bad guy is and in the end he confesses to all he had done. His former teammates also help Jay out with the assault situation. Things were looking up for both Jay and Maggie since she decided to try for her dream job. I am happy these two are finding their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Adrienne! I would recommend this book.
Maggie Kingston is a tough, no nonsense Sheriff In Steele Ridge. Quarterback Jayson Tucker who not only lost his job but he endorsements. The nonprofit organization he raised money for doesn’t want to have anything to do with him. Go Maggie’s cousin, Griffin brings his Jayson to town. The press flocks to town. Plus Jayson’s sister has problems. They were both raised in a dysfunctional family so meeting Maggie’s family and seeing how they protect and care for each other is something new to them. Maggie sure has her hands full especially when the chemistry between Sheriff and Quarterback gets steamy. Suspense, fast pace, tension, drama and danger, intrigue with lots of thrills and chills plus some romance make for a well blended read. I voluntarily read this eBook. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.
Once again we return to Steele Ridge and the females are just as strong and tough like their male counterparts.
We meet the first female sheriff Maggie Kingston who is doing a good job despite having troublesome cousins to keep her on her toes. Nothing she cannot handle until they bring home a star quarterback who brings his own media following.
Jayson Tucker comes to town to find some peace after he takes a rookie side and the media is after him. Soon his life will become threatened as someone wants him benched permanently.
Meantime he two becomes attracted to either but he starts to fear for her safety. Can this relationship last even after they find who is behind things? Another hot read by the author.
Craving Heat is the first book in the new The Kingstons series, a spinoff of the Steele Ridge series that I loved in 2017! If you read the Steele Ridge series yet, you'll get to see many of the original characters make an appearance in this book. That's always a plus for me! If you haven't read the original series, don't fret. This book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I am a fan of both sports romance and romantic suspense, so this book checked lots of boxes for me as a reader! I've been anxious to see who Maggie, our favorite small town sheriff with a big personality, would be paired up with in this book. Enter Jay, a seasoned quarterback needing to lie low while his drama gets sorted. Even better, Jay's the good guy that treats other with respect and is extremely supportive of Maggie. Let me just say, his actions on the obstacle course absolutely won me over in the romance department! The romance is slow-burn as Maggie and Jay try to uncover who is behind all of the drama that is impacting Jay's (and his sister's) career. I really enjoyed the way the couple addressed their individual issues and played to each other's strengths. Even better was that they didn't try to "fix" one another. I read this book weeks ago, twice in fact, and I'm still swoony over Jay and Maggie! The Kingstons come across as another family that will be lots of fun to get to know and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!
I love the Steele Ridge series and was really glad that to know that there would be a continuation series.
I love strong heroines who know what they want and are not afraid to fight for them and Maggie is definitely one such heroine. Being a female Sheriff is definitely no mean feat and I love how she can keep up with everything, even beating her cousin's record in an obstacle course.
She definitely meets her match when she meets Jayson, a sexy quarterback who is in trouble and hides in her town. Love their off the charts chemistry. Their story is also full of suspense and excitement and I was glued to the story all the way. Definitely eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.
** I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are my own
I’m really enjoying the Kingston family in this newest part of Steele Ridge. It’s difficult for a woman in this family of strong men, but Maggie as the town sheriff can certainly hold her own. Now Jayson comes to town to train at her cousin’s facility. He is a star quarterback who has recently gone from being the golden boy to off the team and embroiled in some scandals, none of his own making. Even hiding out in Steele Ridge is a challenge for him in his quest to lay low and his attraction to Maggie makes things even more difficult. I loved the new characters in this special town and look forward to reading more in the series.
No way am I willing to spend almost $10 buying the next book in this series. This book is in the middle of a compound series, a series that should have been broken into two smaller series. Jayson is supposed to be the star quarterback, okay. He has some serious issues with strong females, raising their voices or having strong body language. Maggie is the youngest and the first female sheriff. She can't seem to set any personal boundaries. The connection between the two, is strong but they both have issues. The story isn't the best, I figured out pretty fast who was after Jayson. The best part of this book? It was Free!
loved the book, good story line, interesting characters. There were parts that left hanging: did Maggie apply to the FBI? and did Jay go back to Football? Since he was unfairly dropped by the Knights what came from that? What happened to the Celebrate Hope Board when the embezzlement issue came out? What happened to Sam and her job? What happened to Web when it came out he and his friend set up Jay for the hit?
Love this author but hate it when the end of the book leaves so many un answered questions...only reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 star.
This is one of those books that sat in my on-line bookshelf for months. I don’t know why I hadn’t read it sooner, but was glad I finally did. This story revolves around a strong, independent woman (Sheriff Maggie) that works in a male dominating field and at home is surrounded by her Alpha Cousins and Brothers. The last thing you would think she would need is a sexy all-male football player in her life. But under that drab tan sheriff’s uniform, is a woman needing such a man in her life and bed!
Craving Heat by Adrienne Giordano is a spectacular small-town romance. Ms. Giordano has delivered a well-written book populated with a phenomenal cast of characters. Maggie is the sheriff of Steele Ridge and is brought in to help protect Jayson when he's cut from his team. Jayson doesn't see the need for more protection. Maggie and Jayson's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to reading more from Adrienne Giordano soon. Craving Heat is book 1 of the Steel Ridge: The Kingstons Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I would like to live in Steele Ridge and be part of the Kingston family. Jayson has had his reputation damaged and lost his job. A job he loves. Now he is in Steele Ridge to lay low. Like that will happen. Maggie is going on vacation no matter what. But now that Jayson has come to town, all her plans are blown. Jayson brings a circus with him. Someone is trying to kill him, and the media wants the story. Maggie is no nonsense and Jayson, with his trust issues, is drawn to Maggie's strong personality. She is strong, but not a bully, so he opens up to her about his past and the things that are going on now. Maggie wants to help him, and she isn't used to consulting anyone else, she just does things her way. That doesn't always sit well with Jayson. Can they find a middle ground and a relationship? He is only in town temporarily, right?
