I rescued a dying Lycan King from a car accident. Then he looked into my eyes and growled "Mate." Now I'm being pulled through a portal as his healer.
I'm a nurse. Saving people is literally my job.
But nobody told me that the stranger I saved was a three-hundred-year-old Lycan King from another realm. Or that I'm his fated mate.
After I'm taken to King Xander's world as his human healer, I try to keep things professional. But I can't resist the way his golden eyes look at me. Or ignore how my body burns with heat whenever he's near.
"You're mine," he growled. "And I'm done pretending I don't want to taste you."
Xander took me in his private chambers, Owned my body over his desk after a council meeting. Pressed his palm over my mouth so no one would hear what their king was doing to the human healer.
We were a secret- until his council accused me of treason. Then he rejected me, Letting them drag me away while I screamed his name.
Two months later, I discovered I was carrying his twins.
They thought I would break. Instead, I picked up a sword.
Now Xander wants me back? He can get on his knees and beg.
Xander
I rejected her to keep her alive. The greatest mistake of my three hundred years.
No Silvermane King has ever knelt. I dropped to my knees before my entire kingdom and begged.
She can make me crawl. Make me beg. Make me burn. As long as she lets me worship her every night after. I'll do anything to get my mate back.

Twins!! So cute! I like their story. How they has to face the council, how they fought to stay together and how they found each other time and again when the odds were against them. The crystal glass dome was a nice touch. Her having twins was amazing and then their little honeymoon, simply amazing! I was hoping that she would become pregnant again just with how obsessed with each other they were and due to their intense sec scenes too. Who knows though maybe they had many more. I also liked how the twins were completely opposite too.
So the whole series was very funny ..but the plot never had any climax. Oh the characters did if that's your thing the rest no substance...just a bunch of guys groveling and heroin never standing together to fight with her friends which is what I kept waiting for...why mention their supposed gifts if they never figure them out. Also you need to check your story I noticed the thing you said happened. didn't. I think the writers are not writing but letting a thing write there story if you get my meaning ...because no one writes a 600 plus book in a week ...
The most long-winded dialog but in the best way possible. Full of Witty comebacks and sarcasm. It was very entertaining to read the kind of book that you literally can get from a conversation with a friend. Although the overall plot of the book was a bit lackluster. It just felt like they were concentrating more on individual dialogues rather than the overall plot and character building for side characters.
excellent conclusion for the Edward Sparkles bookclub ladies!!!
Multi author books can either be awesome or a mess and this one is tipping toward the awesome end of the scale!! I’ve enjoyed these first 9 books but the last couple made me worry Krystins story would flake. It did not. I love the banter between her and Xander! The series is standalone except books 6/7/8/9 -these 4 ladies are all besties. Skip 7&8 just fall into 6&9 - totally worth it!!
I usually don’t leave reviews, but wow. I loved the banter back and forth between Krystin and Xander. I found myself giggling at their conversations and just all out enjoying reading this book. I have it in my kindle unlimited but I might keep it. It’s one of my favorite reads so far! Highly recommend!
I love, love, love ALL 4 oh the bookish mate books. The writing is great, the characters are fully realistic, and each book is entirely unique. Thank you for these excellent hours spent in their world!
Four stars because it felt like there was some extra bits added in for length. The characters were fun, we got to see some from other books and the banter was well written
I can’t finish this This was a book club pick and I gave it a true shot It’s so scattered so unorganized. It contradicts itself every other page I was anticipating smut it isn’t even that just a plot that could have been decent had they kept facts straight
This book was not bad but the writing (like grammar and spelling) was not the best. The story was not bad but I would not recommend the book for its writing but for vibes. All in all pretty good.
