The Relentless Billionaire

Rate this book
I rear-ended a billionaire's Bentley. That was my first mistake.

After a brutal double shift at the hospital, the last thing I need is some arrogant CEO throwing money at me to make our fender-bender "disappear." But Ashton Ashworth doesn't take no for an answer—and I've just given him the first real challenge of his privileged life.

My second mistake? Returning every expensive gift he sends.

Designer bags, jewelry, paid-off car repairs—I send them all back with increasingly sarcastic notes. I'm a widowed nurse drowning in medical debt, not some gold-digger dazzled by his billions. But instead of giving up, he becomes obsessed.

My third mistake? Letting him see past my walls.

Ashton is relentless. Grumpy. Controlling. Impossible. And somehow, beneath that cold exterior, he's the first person who's made me feel alive since I lost my husband three years ago. When he looks at me, I'm not a struggling widow—I'm the only thing that matters.

But I'm not just protecting my heart. I'm protecting a secret that could change everything.

Because four months ago, I made one more mistake. And now I'm pregnant with the relentless billionaire's baby.

Blair Kingsley

Blair Kingsley writes billionaire romances packed with sharp banter, emotional heat, and just enough chaos to keep things deliciously unpredictable. Her stories deliver arrogant men with soft spots they’d rather die than admit, heroines who refuse to be impressed by private jets, and chemistry that snaps, sizzles, and sometimes combusts.
Expect witty dialogue, genuine heart, and moments that make you laugh right before they make you blush. Blair’s heroines know their worth—and aren’t afraid to send a CEO’s ego crashing to the floor before stealing his heart. When she’s not dreaming up power plays and love confessions in glass-walled boardrooms, Blair is drinking overpriced lattes, rewatching her favorite rom-coms, and pretending she’d absolutely thrive as a billionaire’s personal assistant (as long as he didn’t talk down to her).

I had to rewrite this review several times because it was hard to explain what I just read. This is not your typical arrogant billionaire woos the overworked widowed nurse. It's a guy meets a girl and he can't stop thinking about her. He tries to fix her but realizes after much resistance she doesn't want fixing. And he simply just starts listening and everything falls into place.

Ashton has great depth to his character. At first I found him arrogant and pompous just like Lily did. However, around her he becomes this completely different person, his true self. It was truly captivating to see it all unfold. Lily is incredibly strong and independent, but watching her journey as she allows herself to move on was just as powerful as their relationship.

This slow burn had the perfect pace and build up. The plot was very complex with deep emotional layers, yet simple at the same time. It was beautiful and moving to watch two people build something real.

Ashton + Lily

Love isn't what you can buy. Love isn't what you can fix. Love is... being there through the good and bad.

Lily teaches Ashton this in 'The Relentless Billionaire." They really teach each other things and meet in the middle after much negotiation.

I enjoyed this book so much. The love wasn't rushed and her previous husband wasn't forgotten. He was included. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.

This story does a great job describing Lilly's grief and her struggles to move forward. Then to add Ashton's need to solve things without much thought with Lilly calling him out on it, add a lot of depth to both characters. The story could have been the typical but there was a lot of detail put into place about both their struggles in the relationship. It was a really good story.
