This was a nostalgia read. First read this when I was seven or eight years old. My local childhood library has three of the books in the series. I always wanted to read all of them and now that they're available on the kindle I can. The story was fine considering it was written almost sixty years ago. Not as good as Heinlein's juveniles but still pretty good for its time.

Tony Hale joins the squad as a youngster who has a rare disease that might be cured by taking a trip to the Moon. Spoiler -- yeah, it works!

This is the last book with Frayling in it. I think Hugh got tired of writing him. I don't blame him.
