Dragon fae shifter Corbin has been watching over the fae man he rescued from vampires for months. He's had to fight to keep Evander safe, to let him sleep and heal and not be carted off to the land of summer to be healed, or worse, executed. He knows Evander will wake soon, and when he does, he will be the mate Corbin has been waiting for.
Evander wakes, relieved to find the vampire attack didn't change him from the hunt lord that he knows himself to be. And he immediately knows Corbin is meant for him. But there's danger in the land of summer, and in the human world, that the guardian house will have to face. And when his mate Corbin gets pregnant, Evander is determined to protect Corbin and his brothers at any cost. Can he and Corbin eliminate the vampire threat and still have a future together?
Corbin is a dragon fae mpreg romance with vampire fighting, lots of kid time, and family drama with hunt lord, dragons, and one pissed off fae queen mother.
Minerva Howe is the kinky alter ego of author Julia Talbot. Julia lives in the great Southwest, where there is hot and cold running rodeo, cowboys, and everything from meat and potatoes to the best Tex-Mex. A full time author, Julia has been published by Samhain as well as other publishing houses. She believes that everyone deserves a happy ending, so she writes about love without limits, where boys love boys, girls love girls, and boys and girls get together to get wild, especially when her crazy paranormal characters are involved.
I liked it, it feels like a fitting closing book for the triplets, yet we still have open plotpoints left to tie and single men to get mated to continue the story in another series. I really liked Evander too.
Corbin is the third book in the Dragon Guardians series. In my opinion this series is best read in order. This is the story of Corbin a dragon/fae shifter and Evander a fae. This was a story I was waiting to read. Corbin and Evander are just perfect for each other. I loved all the characters and world building that went into this book. I loved the steamy bits as much as the plot. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
It was so sweet. I liked Corbin and how he waited for Evander. He knew they were destined for each other and there would be no one else. Evander was wild but so fierce and loyal to his mate. They made a good couple
Corbin by Minerva Howe is the 3rd book in her Dragon Guardians series. I suggest that you read the others before this one as they include the stories of Corbin’s brothers and how they found their mates as well as other characters and situations that are important in this story. Corbin is the oldest of his 3 half dragon half fae brothers including Cullen and Cosmo who each have special powers. Cullen can create illusions, Cosmo is a seer, and Corbin is like his fae queen mother in that he can control growing things. Together they live in a house that has portals to other kingdoms and they guard them so no evil can enter them and right now that evil is vampires. Together they have a special power that when put to use in a certain way can create something that kills them. Cullen and Cosmo have found their mates and have interesting children created from their matings. Corbin is nursing Evander, a fae lord of the Wild Hunt, who saved one of the children from a vampire but was bit which should have caused him to turn into one but Orion, Cosmo’s mate, has special blood that he gave him that should keep him from turning. It has been a year since it happened and now he is finally waking up. He is inspected for any traces of vampire, but none are found. Evander and Corbin know they are mates and it doesn’t take long until they act on it in some steamy love scenes. Evander doesn’t know much about the human or other kingdoms, so it takes some time for him to get used to everything that is going on. Corbin’s mother, the queen of one of the fae realms, comes to visit but does not like Evander because he is a hunt lord and also because she is worried because he was bitten by a vampire and that he could turn everyone. This causes some friction between them, but Corbin stands by Evander. The children are all unique and they immediately love him and his brothers and their mates also defend him. Evander’s father and brothers also visit and are charmed by everyone. A vampire has been spotted and taken down by the brothers in the land of fae which is very concerning and they send envoys to find out how it was let in as they have very strong protective wards that have kept them out before. Meanwhile life goes on at their house with visitors and lots of love and Corbin discovers he is pregnant. Evander becomes very protective as do his brothers and his family and he and his mother make up. Then a very scary scene involving a vampire who has been in the house before and the children occurs where it is up for grabs whether the brothers can save them but I’m sure you know what will happen. In the end the families reunite, and Corbin has his babies which also have special powers to continue their line. I really enjoyed this book as I have the others in the series. Ms. Howe has created a very different world where the half fae half dragon brothers are real heroes in that they are the guardians for all of the kingdoms. They have all found their mates and have surprising and cute children that add fun to the story. Corbin was the last to find his and had to take care of him before they could be together. Evander was strong, loving, and very protective and the more he got to know everyone in the family the more he knew he would do anything for them. Cullen and Cosmo and their mates play a major part in the story as do the rest of their families and they are all intertwined as they fight off the vampires to save their kingdoms. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like stories involving half fae half dragon guardians who find their mates, cute children who often steal scenes, and a fight to save their kingdoms from evil and how they win in the end and find love.
Corbin's story marks the end of the books about the triplets acting as guardians of the portal house in Minerva Howe's Dragon Vale world. And what a wonderful story it is! Corbin is a delightfully multifaceted character who loves his brothers, his menagerie of nieces and nephews, and gardening. He does not love his strained relationship with his mother, his terror of vampires destroying those he loves, or how lonely he feels when he sees how happy his brothers are with their mates. At least he knows who is fated mate is. . . if only the man would wake from a year-long coma cause by being purged of the vampiric disease by unicorn blood.
Unlike Corbin, Evander was literally born for the hunt. His father leads the Wild Hunt of the fae realm. It's why he was sent to the human world to hunt down a pack of vampires that were holding fae children captive. He managed to save those who were enslaved, but suffered for it. That he awoke a year later not thirsting for blood was nothing short of a miracle. But finding his made not one minute later bordered on divine. And though Corbin and he come from feuding fae clans, absolutely nothing will keep him away from his little, green, half-dragon mate.
This story brings together the prior two volumes of the series beautifully, allowing the reader to learn about how Cosmo and Cullen's children and mates are doing, as well as solve many of the unknowns about the unusual house they all live in. The pacing is strong and steady, the settings are gorgeously vivid without being wordy, and the characters themselves come to life in the most delightful manor throughput the book. And excellent conclusion to a lovely trilogy.
Recommended for fans of Susi Hawke. Taylor Rylan, and Gigi Rivers.

This is the third book in the Dragon Guardians series and it really should be read in order of the series. This book focuses on the third and oldest triplet Corbin. He and his brothers are half dragon/half fae beings. They have been fighting against vampires for years but have now moved into being guardians. The house that they live in have portals to other realms that they keep secure. Evander is a fae lord of the Wild Hunt. He came to earth to help rescue a dragon family that had been taken by vampires. While the children were saved, Evander got bit in the process. Any possibility of being a vampire usually results in the death of the member to protect the rest of society. Since Corbin recognized him as his mate, he managed to give him unicorn blood which has magical healing properties. In theory, it should eradicate any vampire germs or cells. But no one knows for sure until Evander wakes up. He has been in a deep healing sleep for a year. Corbin has been taking very good care of him. He has told no one that Evander is his mate. And Corbin's mom, the queen of the fae is putting pressure on to have Evander returned to the land of summer. This is their story. I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is very well written and easy to read. I enjoyed seeing the triplets work together again. I especially liked how Evander's strength and focus was entirely on protecting Corbin and his family. The two of them made a wonderful team. This is a sweet story with a few twists and turns to keep you on your toes. I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to more by this author.
Corbin, the oldest of the three triplet Guardians of the portal between the realms, has spent the last year tending to the Fae Evander. Evander was sent from the Fae realm to the human world to rescue the little Pegasus baby Tisi and his parents from the vampires but was bitten in the process. Cullen’s mate Orion is a Unicorn and his blood is the Universal cure all. Offering his blood to both Tisi and Evander saved their lives, but Evander has lain in a coma since. Corbin knows Evander is his mate and tends him carefully while waiting for him to wake, fighting against his mother’s wishes. As a queen in the fae realm she wants to take Evander back with her so that he can be staked to keep the virus from spreading to the Fae, but Corbin will have none of it. Half fae and half dragon the triplets hunted vampires for a living before becoming Guardians and they know they can keep themselves and their families safe if Evander does wake up fangy. Since Evander can’t go to the Dragon realm and he is not welcome back in the Fae realm yet, a trip with Orion to the Glade to fly results in a pregnancy that brings the families together. And together with Corbin’s brothers, they will have to keep all the realms safe from the vampire threat. Corbin is book 3 of the Dragon Guardians, set in the Dragon Veil universe. If you love dragon shifters, there is a whole world awaiting you. I received an advanced copy of this book in return for leaving an honest review.
Corbin provides us with another feel-good delightful tale filled with love and family as well some danger to keep the reading compelling. Fae dragon Corbin has been caring for the fae Evander. He had been bitten by a vampire and Corbin’s care ensures his safety, giving him a chance to heal. Corbin knows when Evander wakes that he will be the mate he has been waiting for. When Evander does wake, he knows Corbin is his. When Corbin gets pregnant, Evander will do whatever is necessary to keep Corbin and his new found family safe from danger coming from both the land of summer and the human world. Corbin and his brothers, Cullen and Cosmo, turn out to be quite capable and a force on their own.
These two had to fight so much for their happily ever after. Corbin’s mother was not happy to have a member of Hunt in her family. Add to that the fact that the triplets and their mates were sure the vampires would return. They should have no problem as their family has grown including Evander’s father and brothers. The love shines off the pages from the mates as well as their children. They care for each other and help each other as needed, both physically and mentally. It was great to visit with Cosmo and Cullen along with their mates and children. There are still some loose ends that will have us wondering. This series is perfect for those of us who enjoy dragons and more. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
This book rocks! The last of the triplet guardians to get his story is Corbin and what a tale it is! He has been watching over Evander for a year, waiting for him to wake up after being bitten by a vampire and healed with Orion’s unicorn blood. The two recognize each other as mates right away and it isn’t long until the problems begin. It will start with Corbin’s mother, a fae queen who doesn’t think Evander is good enough for her son, feeling he is still tainted from the bite. But Corbin stands by his mate and it is wonderful to see. Evander’s family will arrive to meet them and I love all of them. Masters of the Hunt, they are all delighted by the wonderful family, especially the children, that Evander has found himself a part of. And Corbin and Evander are about to add more children to the mix when they find out Corbin is not only with child, but three. He will bring the next set of guardians into the world but it will not be without it’s obstacles. A terrible vision and an attack by a vampire will happen before Corbin can bring the children into the world, but this family will show once again, that no one gets to hurt the ones they love.
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
“Corbin” by Minerva Howe is part of the ‘Dragon Guardians’ series, and features the third triplet, who has been nurturing Evander, who has been in a coma after his attack by vampires. His talent for growing things, combined with the special bond he has with his brothers, is essential in keeping the portals protected, but the threat of vampires is still a major danger and complicates his growing attachment to Evander.
This adult paranormal gay romance is a very entertaining read. The kids are such a fun component of this series, as they represent such an awesome combination of the various fantastical beings that populate these worlds. I giggle at Eliot, with his boulder mannerisms, and I love the heartwarming interactions that the children have with the sometimes outwardly stern adults who fall under their spell. This was a great addition to the series, and I love the message that love gets everyone through the hardest of times. The author deftly weaves commonplace things like pregnancy cravings and dealing with stubborn children (and mates) with fantastical locations and beings, and I can’t wait to find out what other fun beings will add to the chaos.
This is book three in the author’s Dragon Guardians series and features Corbin, the last unmated brother of the triplet guardians of the magical portal to the dragon realms. Book two, Cullen, ended with a man collapsing after rescuing a baby from the vampires and being bitten. That man was Evander, Corbin’s mate who he nursed back to health over the course of a year with the help of Orion, the unicorn shifter, also from book two.
I honestly can’t say which book is my favorite, I’ve loved all three of the guardian books and the triplets were a trip! This one seemed to be more dramatic than the others though which I seem to remember being more lighthearted but it’s been a while, I could very well be misremembering. Regardless, each of the three were awesome reads and I hate to see them end. We did get a tiny look into the future at the end of the book but I’m hoping we don’t have to wait that long to hear more from the triplets and their hot mates!
Readers who love dragon shifters shouldn’t miss out on this book or the previous two in this series, they’re SO good! 4.5 stars
I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.
The brothers continue guarding the portals, standing between their kingdoms and the dangers that threaten them. This time, though, the danger hits close to home.
Corbin has finally found his mate—but their happiness is almost torn away when Evander is bitten by a vampire. For a heart-stopping moment, it seems inevitable that he’ll turn. But Evander is different. He’s strong enough to fight the venom, to resist the darkness, and to hold on to himself—and to Corbin.
Of course, we couldn’t miss a little family drama. Corbin’s mother stirs things up, tensions flare, and emotions run high. But when real danger strikes, none of that matters. A fight to protect their loved ones brings the entire family together, united and unstoppable.
I absolutely loved the interaction between Corbin and Evander. Their bond is intense, protective, and full of emotion. The way they stand by each other—through fear, through conflict, through everything—makes their relationship feel powerful and real.
Another strong, heartfelt installment that shows love really can conquer even the darkest threats.
"Corbin" is the story of the last triplet, Dragon guardian. The series may have ended, but it's interwoven with Minerva Howe's other Dragon universe/veil series(s). So we may see or hear from the triplets again. And while the separate series(s) can each be read alone, it's a richer reading experience to start from the beginning. I'm talking dragon with his rare book dealer mate beginning! The story was so sweet. Corbin's hovering and his patience while waiting for Evander to wake up was quite endearing. So was Evander's protectiveness of his mate and baby. They were destined for each other and there was no fighting the bond. The sizzle between the two was just right. Chef's kiss to the steam. There are still a few loose ends to tie up. And a few mateless folk. Sooooo, next series, please. Soon. The Dragon Guardians had some impressive worldbuilding and sweetly, sexy mates. Not to mention that the covers have all been a delight to the eyes. I received an advanced copy of this e book from GRR and this is my review.
dragonflies, bone broth, little rock, carnivorous deer, pizza rolls, vampire lamp, TARDIS, cobwebs, cheeseburgers & movies party, 'ZINI!' burnt flesh & ash
This is a complete full-length novel, albeit feeling rushed. There's also a few loose ends that I would love to have resolved. Maybe there will be a Book #4 for the series? A whole slew of Dragon Veil Universe books exist. This book is heavily reliant on some of those characters. For the best experience, you should read "Cosmo, Book #1" and "Cullen, Book #2" beforehand.
The book is green fae-dragon shifter brother Cullen's story. It opens with Corbin's fated mate, Evander, in a "coma". Evander was bitten by a vampire, and healed with unicorn shifter Orion's blood. He has to be sure Evander has been cleared of any hint of vampirism. He has to contend his fae Queen of the Flower Mound mother, Calla. She wants to take Evander to the fae realm to heal. But, there's the chance that Evander could introduce vampirism to that realm.
Except for the loose ends, this story is good. I enjoyed reading this, and recommend it.
I really enjoy this universe, and this book is another great reminder why. The author keeps things fresh by adding new, unique layers and characters, and I especially love how the kids and familiars continue to bring so much charm and diversity to the story. The kids in particular had me smiling nonstop with all their adorableness.
It was great getting to know the green brother better. Corbin is such a fun character. He and his brothers are fantastic warriors, and seeing the triplets work together as a unit to protect the people they love was a real highlight. I also appreciated how watchful and protective Corbin was over Evander while he slept for a year. Ever since Evander appeared in the previous book, I’ve been curious about how his story would unfold, and I’m really happy with how he was woven into the triplets’ family.
As always, catching up with familiar faces from other series in this universe was a treat. And now I’m excited about the intriguing new characters introduced in Corbin’s book and the potential for more great stories ahead.
Love protects Evander as he needs time to heal after he is found in a vampire den. Corbin knows, as he watches over Evander, that Evander is his mate. Corbin is patient in his care and it takes a while for Evander to heal from his ordeal. And when Evander wakes he knows that Corbin is his as well. Waking up is not the end of their story. There is danger for them as they need to navigate Corbin's mother's designs on Evander - she wants to take him to fae lands to use him as cure. These two wind up having to work among the threats - Corbin and his brothers are guardians that fight the vampires who bring harm - to find a place where they can live into their ever after and grow their bond. And their union bears fruit. These brothers are growing families and providing care to one another and others. Such a sweet addition to the series. I received an ARC from GRR and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have been really excited for Corbin’s book ever since Evander first came to be with the triplets. This was such a good end to their portion of this universe. It just felt right and had a wholesomeness to it that I’ve come to really rely on in Minerva’s writing. I loved Evander for Corbin - Corbin had this solid patience that matched Evander’s wildness. It just made them work really well together with a lovely give and take. On top of all that there was also the lovely family that is the heart of Minerva’s books. It gave it a coziness I really enjoyed whilst also having intriguing plot points both for this story and for the universe going forward. I can’t wait for what the next series will be but I really hope we get to see lots of our gorgeous triplets, their mates and their babies.
I absolutely adore the characters in this book. This is Corbin and Evander's story, but we met both characters in previous books. I very much enjoy seeing characters from across this world make appearances. The story is what I expect of this author in this particular world, but this book in particular has some issues with proofreading I feel. There are several instances where a word or words was omitted or too many words used so the sentence doesn't really make sense, and I think an instance where the wrong name was used because it changed in the next sentence without a change of context or other characters. For me this takes me out of the story. That said, I will continue to read every single book that is published in the Dragon Veil universe. I do love them.
Corbin is a warm, action-filled mpreg romance that is a fantastic addition to this series. Leaning heavily into devotion, found family and standing your ground for the people you love. The bond between Corbin and Evander is immediate and unwavering, rooted in months of quiet protection and an instinctive certainty that feels earned rather than rushed.
The story balances tender domestic moments with external threats, from lingering vampire danger to tense fae politics. Corbin’s determination to protect his mate and Evander’s fierce loyalty in return, forms the emotional core, while the presence of children and extended family adds heart and levity amidst the chaos.
Another superb shifter book from Minerva I received a free arc copy and this is my honest review
I loved the detailed world building in this page-turner and the way all the characters are so fleshed out. The main and the side characters are very unique and fascinating. Of course, all the babies are almost too adorable. Evander is a fae of the wild hunt. Corbin took care of him for a year after he was bitten by a vampire. It's really quite fascinating how Corbin and his two brothers fight vampires. They are all lucky to have alpha mates who complement them in so many ways. Together they can all protect the portal into the various realms. The ending is appropriate and very satisfying. This was a great series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
It's good to be back with the guardians and for Corbin to get his mate after seeing his brothers find theirs. It's harder for him, having to sit by and watch his mate basically be in a come, recovering, for a year but when Evander wakes, the two bond instantly. Corbin is strong enough to stand up to those who aren't happy with him mating with a Lord of the Hunt, and his brother's stand by his side. There is a slow burning hint of danger through the story with the possible threat of vampires but the brothers show just what they are capable of. Evander is a great mate for Corbin, loving the strong, independence he has, and happy for Corbin to deal with things his own way. I did think this one dragged slightly after the first half, but we got there with family bonding, a touch of drama and the MC's HEA. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
I'm so glad Corbin & Evander got their HEA. Even though the triplets plot has been tied up, I'm glad that we are not done with this world. There are still plots that need to be tied up and I can't wait for more. I love Evander's brothers. So, Corbin has been taking care of Evander who has been in a coma for a year. We left off in the last book where he was bitten by a vampire and with the use of unicorn blood, it put Evander into a coma. We didn't know if he was actually cured or if he would wake up infected. We have a scary vision that is going come to pass. I can't wait for the next book.
I received a copy of this book from GRR and this my honest review.
This is a wonderful series and I'm so happy that Corbin finally gets his story! I LOVED everything about this book and this series as a whole! Emotional story filled with amazing characters and so much happens that keeps you engaged from page to page! I loved it and I was so sad when I read the last word. I'm hoping that we won't have to wait to long before the next book! I loved Corbin's story and it was wonderful getting to see his brothers and their families again. Even though there are parts that are heart-breaking. I love this series! I read an advanced copy of this book and this is my unbiased review! It's so good! You will not be disappointed!
Book 3 with the fae/dragon brother guardians. This was a delight. I greatly enjoyed it...all the family drama came to be all the more real. Corbin and his issues with his mother...all the precious children and most definitely Corbin finding his mate with the handsome fae Evander. From book 2 towards that climatic end, I kinda figured that connection was gonna be a big one. Well not too much angst...some danger with the vampire threat but a whole lot of love and joy just being with family. Nice ending but there still evil lurking. I'm all for it!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Not enough stars!! Evander finally wakes after fighting the poison from the vampires. With the help of some Unicorn blood! Corbin has been looking after Evander while he was out cold for a year. Their mating bond intensifies as soon as he wakes. There is a bit of push and pull with Corbin's mother still hanging over because she didn't want Evander too live and be potentially dangerous. Evander's family become a great help in both worlds to keep everyone, especially the little ones. Elliot is such an entertaining little character! Corbin's triplet's are going to be brilliant!!! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Sweet! Evander, was attacked by the vampires while he was on a rescue mission. He has been in a deep sleep for over a year. Corbin, has been keeping guard and nurturing him during that time. Once Ev, awakens and recovers, he has a new environment to discover. Adventure, intrigue, challenged family loyalties and love are weaved into this story. I am glad the brothers find their mates, but I want to keep hearing about these guys. It is great seeing the growth of the dragon families and the kids are delightful, looking forward to their stories. I hope we get stories of Ev's brothers. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a reveiw.
Corbin and Evander story concludes this series but the adventure continues. Is finally time for Corbin to be happy with his mate and family, to face the challenges ahead and to grow his family. It had danger and adrenaline, some manipulation and subterfuge as the enemy gets creative, some tensions as the relatives don’t get along, and also lots of shenanigans from the kids, teasing from the family, and help when it mattered. Slowly all the issues gets resolved, new developments unravel, new opportunities arise, and new bundles of joy joined the loving growing family.
Corbin is one of the three guardians of the portals. Triplets. He finds a Fae man in a vampire den and takes him home to recover. When Evander bites Orion, the unicorn, he gets healed. Evander is the son of the wild hunt. His mate is the gorgeous Corbin, who has taken care of him while he recovered from his ordeal. This was a wonderful story, full of love and family. Highly Recommended
I have loved these dragon triplet guardians. It is finally Corbin’s turn with his fated. Evander is absolutely perfect for him in every way. He is another guardian, warrior, and fierce protector. If only they can solve the vampire problem…This is some fated mates and found families at its best and I'm kinda sad to see the end of this bit. Where will Minerva Howe take us next in the Dragon Veil Universe? I can’t wait to find out.
This is book 3 in the series and I recommend reading the books in order. Corbin has been waiting for his mate to wake up after a year after he was bitten by a vampire. Once he does, their relationship started off pretty strongly even with Corbin ‘s mother giving a bit of angst. I loved the way they communicated with each other and how Evander was with Corbin’s brothers and their children. I love this author’s works and I cannot wait to read more.
