Perfect for fans of the show Criminal Minds and Catherine Cowles's Sparrow Falls Series.

Sadie Walker survived combat, an injury that ended her military career, and the kind of betrayal that changes a person forever. Now an FBI agent in Boston, she’s rebuilt her life piece by piece.

Until a shark washes up on the shores of Cape Cod, bring with it a new case.

Rafe Alexir left behind combat to join the FBI. When his unit in Washington D.C. is called to assist on a case up near Boston he never expected to come face to face with the one person he hadn't seen in four years.

Forced to work side by side, old wounds resurface as a brutal killer stalks the beaches of Cape Cod, leaving behind more questions than answers. Every step closer to the truth drags Sadie and Rafe deeper into unresolved anger, buried guilt, and a connection neither of them ever truly escaped.

In Catalyst we are introduced to Sadie and Rafe. Their history is rich and the tension between them is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

There were so many moments where I found myself shouting at Sadie to get out of her own way before she blew it. Watching the two navigate through their feelings and finally reconnect was incredibly satisfying.

Note: In this one, there is a dash of spice though! While the spicy scene was a bit of a surprise, it was a very welcome one. The build-up between Sadie and Rafe made it feel earned and much needed.

I was also beyond excited to see Stone and Len continuing as characters throughout the story! Their presence added such a great layer to continuing the series.

Once again I couldn't put this book down. The author kept me on my toes until the case was solved and then wrapped up the plot beautifully.

I am excited for the next one!
