While New Meridian narrowly survived Anton and the Blood Moon, Xay learned two impossible facts about himself. He carries the essence of a Primordial God in his soul and, as if that weren’t enough, he’s a lost prince.
Unsure what to do about the first truth and skeptical of the second, Xay and his friends set out for the Kingdom of Illantari to meet this supposed royal family.
But the journey won’t be easy. The Deep Wilds are fraught with powerful monsters, massive mana beasts, open-air dungeons, bandits, scavengers, and countless more unknown dangers. To Xay and his bonds, though, it’s only training.
With the Primeval Gods threatening to break free from their seals, the group has to grow stronger faster than ever before. And fearing he may not be able to bring her back a second time, Xay refuses to let Rox out of his sight.
Just didn't work for me. I skipped a lot of stat stuff to get to any plot advancement, and too much of the book was going in circles in terms of story progression. It took me a week to finish this, a sure sign that it's not holding my attention.
A Decent book. A little much here and there, and tbh at the end I don’t think we really needed 40 odd pages of summaries regarding the breakthroughs of everyone. Though granted it was a big moment in the story. That could’ve been cut down quite a bit. A few other things that ticked me a bit but they were more personally viewed as issues. Generally yeah a decent book.
I was drawn in from the first page till the very end and did not want to put it down!!!! As always incredible character interaction and dynamic world building continues!!! The underlying mystery is incredibly enticing beyond the growth of the characters!! I can't wait to see what comes next for the MC and his growing family!!!
A great book, huge storyline and the main characters outdo themselves. My only criticism, is there really a need to graphically explain all of the various techniques so many times. Following the 3rd awakening, at least a chapter was spent explaining them in detail. Boring!!!!!!!!
Glad we got the next installment, street i hope book 5 is burning the memory out of your pc, can't wait. Wish we would have hit a few more rifts, see some more of the team in action. P.s. send me my new rv brochure I want one.
This was actually my favorite book in the series so far. I really enjoyed the variety and types of adventures the group had. I look forward with great anticipation to the next book in the series!
Love this series, and this entry may be the best yet. The characters leave their town and explore their world for the first time which drastically helps with the wider picture and sets the scene for the next phase
I really did enjoy the silly power levels that shows up in the book. We've been seeing flashes of it previously but this book too some time to show that off.
I like stories that have balance of sex, and strong ties to each other with good humor. This book facilitated the well. Looking forward to the future books.
Just like every other volume I couldn’t put it down and savor it, and now with no knew volume in sight anytime soon! I’ve loved all of Streets series but this one is the top to me. I highly recommend it.
