This was a very interesting read. I learned a lot about early LDS Church history AND (Bonus!) FLDS early history, too. It seemed pretty well balanced - not anti or pro-mo. Also pretty factual as far as I can tell, with my limited knowledge.

Kimball Young's very readable oral history of Mormon polygamists. This has been criticized as too anecdotal, but it gives you a nice overview of polygamous families.
