They’re not together. But they never seem to let go. Jaiyanna Munroe swore she’d never end up like her mother... broken behind a man who couldn’t love her right. So she plays it safe, keeps her walls high, and tells herself that the way she feels for Kasra Zaman doesn’t matter. But her heart has other plans. Kas has tried to prove he’s not his father, a man who never learned how to stay, or how to love without damage. But with Yanna, he wants different. He wants more. Only, love between them has never been simple. Just when it feels like they might finally figure it out, everything shifts. The past resurfaces. Old wounds reopen. And the cycle they keep swearing they’re done with starts all over again. One minute they’re inseparable. The next, they’re silent. They don’t fall apart. They just spin. They’ve mastered every part of the ride… except how to get off.

Circles is the perfect way to describe this relationship. the back and forth. the love and the hate. It was beautiful to watch this train wreck couple. Trauma can really make you act out and miss out on what you really need. I'm glad Yanna was able to recognize and work through to get her man and stop on a 180. As always, Kas and Yanna were both funny as hell. I can appreciate good comic relief in the mist of heavy drama. Loved this couple and this book.
JaiYanna and Kasra are the ultimate toxic couple whose situationship is drama all wrapped up in a circle of sex, laughs, trauma, unspoken truth, love, and lies. Yanna spent so much of her life dwelling on childhood trauma from her parents that she let the trauma manifest in adulthood. Instead of getting help and working through it, she self-medicated like her mother with liquor; they have that in common, but Yanna is in denial. Love and commitment scare her. Where Yanna and Janis differ is that Yanna has a tendency to use guys and then cut them off when she thinks they get close and moves on to the next one. What happens when she meets Kas and she can't get rid of him so easily? Her childhood trauma has festered so much that it's eating at her until it becomes a point where it has taken over her whole identity, and she doesn’t see it until the unthinkable happens and she hurts Kas.
Whew this story stressed me out something serious! Usually its the guy playing games but it was Yanna who def worked my nerves. I understood her childhood trauma but she def let it run her life. I love the family dynamic & how Yanna was accepted by Kas’ family no matter what. The title fits their love so much because it was a toxic cycle that went too far and went on for too long. I was glad Yanna and Kas were able to get it right finally!
Kas and Yanna, these two are a hot mess!!!!! Listen the shenanigans continued from book 1 right into book 2. Overall it was good story, we got to see an update past favorite characters.
Now I’m not gonna lie, there’s a lot of eye rolling and are you serious that’s gonna be done reading this book because when I say these two will take you there baby, they gonna take you there.
These 2 just about drove me crazy lol! It was clear that Kas loved Yanna but her insecurities were valid. When they were up they were fun to watch and when they were down the toxicity was immense! At one point I didn’t even care if they ended up together. But then the suddenly happened…great read!
