This book hooked me from the first page. I love a dark romance and when said dark romance involves two clearly sociopathic women and one who is slightly psychopathic you can bet I’m going to eat it up!

Her Greed follows Kat a trained assassin on a revenge mission to eliminate the men responsible for her childhood trauma. That’s when she meets Lillian who also happens to have moved to the top of her list. It’s a game of cat & mouse, and who’ll come out on top?

I loved this book, it had everything you could possibly want from a dark romance. A trained slightly psychopathic assassin who falls for a woman she’s just added to her list. An ice queen CEO who’s running from a mistake she made in her past and a d/s dynamic that involves the struggle for power 🤤. I would’ve preferred if the book had of been longer, with more of Kats revenge carried out on page and more of Kat putting Lillian in her place (or over her knee), but that’s just to satiate my own depraved needs 😅

But this author was able to find love in all this terrible drama. Lillian and Kat rubbed each other the right way. They were both taken advantage of and needed each other to make it the rest of their lives. It was a dark book, but I could not stop reading.

Did someone say Dark Sapphic Romance/Thriller w/ spice? Yasss please !!! The only thing I wish is that it was longer, but that's a me problem lol. Other than that this was AMAZING. It does deal with some dark elements but I think they are done beautifully. 10/10 would recommend.

I actually read the second standalone book in the series first and these characters were mentioned (spoiler there if read out of order like me) and I was excited to get Lilian and Kat’s story!

Both Lilian and Kat are dominant personalities with horrible backstories. Their chemistry would set off fire alarms! They are extremely intelligent and ruthless. Are they meant to compliment one another or to k!ll each other? Read and find out! Recommend!

This was my first book by C.M. Raven.
I LOVE a good sapphic book and a bit of mystery/suspense so this book hit a sweet spot with me.

The fast paced story, the "instalove" connection between Lilian and Kat & the "who's done it" worked well.
This book is mostly plot-driven and I really liked that. I was invested to find out who's behind the whole conspiracy and how everything was comnected and to see Kat get her revenge.

I will definetely be reading the other books in this series.

I really enjoyed this story, it delves into some really dark places but I feel the author dealt with them really well.

The only thing I would say is I wish it was longer and there was more focus on the chemistry between the two main characters. It’s not often I wish a book was longer but this is well written, intense and definitely worth the read.

If you are into dark, twisted, fast-paced books with a lot of action and a dash of kinky sapphic love, this is definitely the book for you.

Her Greed highlights the lengths that abused individuals are willing to go to get justice. It's raw, it's vengeful, it's brave, it's conflicted, it's hot and dangerous (check trigger warnings or, as author C. M. Raven writes, "please know your limits and take care of your mental health").

Bonus points: it comes with a spotify playlist, and each song sets the vibe for each chapter.

Disclaimer: as a reader of slower-paced books and not a huge fan of books leaning towards the "action" genre, there are a few things that didn't quite resonate with me, so my rating is based solely on my own perception of this book and my personal taste.

This book starts out with a very provocative prologue that had me riveted. The prologue is intense and sinister but we learn the harrowing backstory of Kat and it absolutely sets the tone for the book. Her Greed is a dark sapphic romance that has such an engaging storyline. I was pulled into a world of power and moral ambiguity with a complex love story. This book is a bit darker than ones I am typically drawn to but I found myself in the mood for something different and maybe a bit more kinky and psychologically dark…and that is what I got.

We are introduced to Kat and her harrowing backstory made me instantly care about her. She was hurt in the worst of ways but somehow finds the strength to survive. She becomes a badass vigilante whose motivation is to punish those who deserve it. Her strong sense of justice and traumatic past drives her toward lethal actions. I loved her! Lillian is ambitious and has risen the ranks to become a member of the upper echelon as a wealthy CEO. She has been praised for her professional role and has received global accolades. When disaster strikes and her life unravels and she is left vulnerable to predators and danger. She and Kat are tied by a despicable evil known as Jared Sutton and what ensues is a riveting story of retribution, danger, darkness, erotic moments and a messy real love. They collide together in a relationship built on desire and intensity, not to mention danger. There are a lot of twists and turns and I was well entertained from beginning to end. I enjoyed the messy and all consuming relationship between Kat and Lilllian. There is so much at stake and they should be on opposite sides here but Kat can't help but feel an intense pull toward Lillian. There is a healthy dose of erotic content and I totally loved it! They were electric together and their attraction and chemistry jumped off of the pages.

The writing is very direct, matter of fact and sort of intense. There is no delicate prose or metaphorical writing. Raven alternatives between Lilian and Kat's perspectives which I really appreciated. The ability to read from each character's point of view allowed me to have greater insight into both of them and get to know them better. I found myself drawn to both Lillialin and Kat as they are both flawed yet driven women. But I will say that I found myself particularly drawn to Kat. Maybe it was being privy to her haunted past but I found her to be a sexy badass! The scenes of eroticism are exhilarating and really hot. I very much liked the extra elements of kink and bold desire as they created some very sexy scenes and helped to paint the picture with regard to Lilian and Kat's relationship. Theirs was a relationship built on intensity, seduction and some definite moral conflict. Nevertheless, I believed that what they grew to feel was real and I really liked them together. Their ending may have been dark and maybe a bit unconventional but it was happy nonetheless.

I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a little excitement and a lot of dark sapphic romance. Her Greed is bold and explores desire along with smoldering attraction. This story is erotic and morally ambitious but does have so much to offer the reader. I was never bored reading this story and really began to care for Lillian and especially Kat. We get to watch as two powerful women collide and come together in an intriguing romance. This might be a bit darker and not necessarily and traditional romance but most definitely and entertaining read.

Right from the prologue it pulls you in it makes you want to know what is going to happen next. Adding the playlist that links with the book too just sets the scene for each chapter perfectly. It’s dark it’s sinister but it pulls you in and makes you want to keep reading. The dual POV is incredible too you have Kat the one seeking revenge and Lilian who just so happens to become Kat’s next target. It brings the story together well getting to see both povs. You can feel the tension between the two characters right from the beginning and that’s what grips you in further. The twists in this book too like what? Drama chaos romantic tension? Sign me up. Also love the teasing aspect between the two FMCs it’s almost like a game of cat and mouse will they won’t they fall in love. The chase is so thrilling too. The asking for consent the full briefing before anything kinky happens it just adds to the perfection of this book. The playlist fits so perfectly with the theme of each chapter. Again the twists it goes from romance one minute to so much drama the next. Safe kink too? Keeping to the safe sane and consensual absolute perfection. All in all this book was magical ended with a happily ever after ending it’s a perfect dark read. You have murder you have kink you have trauma you have pure love you have revenge. It is an excellent book that really pulls you in right from the beginning making it hard to put down. It makes you want to read even more. It’s a fantastic read with a brilliant story line and it always keeps you on your toes you never know what happens next. This book will make you feel all the emotions. The playlist for this book perfectly captures each chapter and it ends in a perfect way without a cliffhanger where you wonder what happens next. 5/5 this book I’d recommend to anyone who wants a dark sapphic romance that is filled with spice and filled with lore.

This is a DARK romance (please check the triggers) but wow, this book is fire. A woman driven by revenge, turned assassin, taking out everyone who’s ever wronged her…until her next target isn’t so easy to eliminate. That shift? I was hooked.

WOW… talk about hot, intense sapphic characters. Kat and Lillian make Her Greed a page turner that will keep you from your daily chores. It is dark and I seriously suggest checking out trigger warnings. Personally, the darker and more morally gray the happier I am to read. I am a dynamic power exchange trope junkie. This book hits almost every button for dark tropes you can imagine. The seamless way they wind through this book is incredible. The many levels of battle that both MCs traverse, together and personally, create a journey that is almost a constant adrenaline rush of suspense, intrigue, angst, conflict and yep passion. The power exchange journey is what for me makes this the most compelling. (That is all I’m saying about it… no spoilers in my review.) That being stated take the leap into this sapphic gem. I am going to reread it to the person in my life as she will enjoy it and I am all for a second spin with these two women. C.M. Raven has become one of my new authors to watch. This is the first book I’ve read and I want much more. Their style and talent for immersing the reader is outstanding. There were quite a few things to like about this book - the premise, the rising from the dumps[ter], the strong and badass female characters [at least in the beginning], the fast-paced plot that kept me flipping pages ... but ... I did not like how the MC's couldn't stay true to their own resolve. And I did not like how the D/S dynamic changed. I mean Lilian insta-fell for someone who was demure. And then that just all went out the window? The bullying toward the end was disturbing. The kink felt unnecessary. I couldn't wrap my mind around how the horrid behaviour is from someone who was abused from a very early age. Plot toward the end completely derailed beyond fiction. And that last murderous act was immature and over the top. In fact both characters read like angry entitled teenagers hurtling tantrums and acting out with zero regard to ... argh ... everything. As if burning down a slum apartment to bury your tracks won't cause other innocent people to suffer? What about hurting the feelings of someone you supposedly love? Anyway I should stop my rant and get back to work.

Wow. That was a fun and thrilling read. Full of action and suspense. There are a lot of dark elements in this book. Plenty of mayhem and violence with a well balanced dose of the kinky - not too much nor too little but just the right amount.

The romance was unintentional with intrigue and infiltration, false identity and careful manipulations with intent to murder. The story was mostly fast but was well paced overall.

The story revolves around Kat the revenging equalizer seeking out all those who wronged her, and the billionaire IT mogul Lilian. Their paths converge because of their shared connection to another billionaire who is a blackmailer and the head of a child sex abuse ring. Lilian is implicated in the ring and tries to erase all evidence and is targeted next by Kat. But everything goes off track when they first meet each other.

The book also comes with a Spotify playlist and has a theme song for each chapter!

A great book to read if you love both thrilling action and kinky action!

3 stars. There’s potential here but the writing really holds it back. I just wasn’t a fan of it at all. The dialogue is awkward, the characters personalities are flimsy and the plot gets lost somewhere in the middle of the book. I really wanted to love this because I love dark sapphic romances but this one just didn’t work for me. I thought the plot was interesting in the beginning but once Lillian and Kat met they fell for each other so fast and I didn’t understand why. I think their chemistry got better later on but it was strange in the beginning. Three stars because it’s a quick read and I didn’t completely hate it. I’d probably check out book two when it comes out.

Sexy, light bdsm, and a great story

This tale of two opposites at first glance turns into way more than either expected, including the discovery that they aren't as different as they thought.

Brilliant characters with good back story and a plot that I hope unfolds with a followup. So much more can be told of the life they build.

Kink is mostly about control, possession, light spanking, and light bandages.

The intro is a sensitive topic around rape, but it sets the stage for everything else. If hookup can't handle that, I recommend skipping to Chapter 1. The intro story will be revealed later in the book as a 'this is why he has to die' explanation in a couple nondescript sentences.

Highly recommend. Very good grammar with only one or two very minor typos.

It was difficult for me to get through the greater portion of the book. Mostly because there were parts that though they didn't cause any kind of discomfort; it certainly brought back memories of a girlfriend from my youth aged past who went through parts of your victims trials. And she at times wept on my shoulder and would tell me about what occurred. So I just pondered how you felt while putting those discriptions especially the brutality of the younger Kat.

A fun, fierce, and engaging read!
Changing character perspectives allowed the plot to move forward evenly. It gave both primary characters satisfying arcs, while allowing the natural progression of their relationship to include twists and revelations.
My highlight though, is the accompanying playlist. Not only does it set the mood for each chapter, it creates an extra level of immersion. I feel so much closer to the author and the world she's created.

Kat and Lillian make an unusual combination. Kat is a ghost who is looking for revenge on people who do bad things. Lillian is a CEO who gets what she wants and this is Kat who is seen as Ella. There is drama, feeling and sex involved in their relationship. Trigger warning there is extreme sex and violence involved. Recommended for those readers who like dark romance.
