Ellen lives in a small town in New England, between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains. She lives with her husband, two sons, and one very spoiled puppy princess.

Ellen writes in the early morning hours before her family wakes up. When she's not writing, you can find her spending time with her family, gardening with her puppy and chickens, or headed to the beach. She loves summer and flip-flops, running on a dirt country road, and a sweet love song.

All of her stories are clean romances where families are close, neighbors are nosy, and the couples are destined for each other.

I really enjoyed "Seashore Lane," book 3 of the Isabel Island series by Ellen Joy. This is one of those authors I trust completely because she knows how to build a world that feels lived-in and familiar without ever getting stale. Gina’s story and her return to Isabel Island to reconnect with her son is layered with regret, hope, and quiet courage, and Ellen Joy captures all of it beautifully. The tension with her ex-husband and his new girlfriend adds emotional weight without overwhelming the story, making Gina’s journey feel honest and grounded rather than overly dramatic.
One of the things I love most about Ellen Joy’s writing is how effortlessly she develops both books and series. She introduces new characters in a way that makes you instantly curious about them, and before you realize it, you’re fully invested in everyone on the page. This book is full of new faces, and every single one feels like someone you’d want to sit down with and hear more from. Giving us something to look forward to with future books in the series. Watching Gina slowly open her heart, form friendships, and explore the possibility of love again feels warm and earned, especially against the island backdrop and subtle Christmas atmosphere. It’s a great addition to your book collection.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

This sweet romance had such strong, touching characters and moms loving their children no matter what. I liked how all the character's lives became entwined in this story set on Isabel Island in Maine.  Many of the characters were at a crossroads in their life and very unsure of what came next.  They were like one big family, flaws and all, trying to make it work, and it did in its own sweet, unique way. I fell in love with the characters and their laidback life on this island.  I really liked how even though Gina and Tyler were divorced they were still a family to her son, Jason. It seemed the Island eventually made everyone feel needed, safe, wanted, and loved.  I received an advance copy of this book, and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

I absolutely love this author’s writing style. The characters are incredibly well-developed, and I enjoyed that the story features multiple couples. It creates a wonderful 'found family' dynamic where friends truly become family, making the world feel very special. While some character arcs continue into the next book, I want to be clear that there is no cliffhanger, just a lovely, satisfying HEA!

I was SO happy to be able to read the 3rd in the series. This series is so heartwarming with great characters woven into a continuing storyline that makes you want the series to continue. I’m already looking forward to the next one!

I liked how this book showed how the military is part of someone. Gina had to adjust a lot and it was not something I realized she would go through. I enjoyed how life for her changed and she embraced it. This was a beautiful story.
