It felt like not much happened throughout this book, but i’m assuming that’s because it’s a duet and the rest will happen in the other book. Not complaining though cause I love her work and will always eat it up

I really enjoyed this story.

I loved Sloane, and the way Storm is so clearly and obsessively in love with her.

I think I perhaps would have liked Lydia too if she was in a different book, or had her own story. Instead she just feels like she’s in the way of Sloane and Storm. And I’ll be really annoyed if it’s Lydia who ends up with Storm.

“She says he’s a good man but he’s not a good person. Part of me wants to find out just how bad he can be.”

Oh sweet baby Sloane, I think we’re about to find out soon when book two comes out! But, holy shit, that ending had me reeling. The BETRAYAL. I know there has to be more to it, but ugh, that was a sucker punch to the gut. I need to know what the eff is going on stat!

I am loving Storm and Sloane’s characters. Storm is so bad, and Sloane is so good. I feel like we might be missing something about Sloane though… Anyway, can we talk about the tension between these two??? *Chef’s kiss* The tension and chemistry is done so damn well. I’m just over here manically smiling at my kindle and internally yelling, “Just kiss already, dammit!!” I freaking love it.

I’m still trying to figure out Lydia. I’m not feeling the same tension and chemistry with Storm compared to Sloane. This first book is definitely an introduction and is setting us up for the meat and potatoes in book two, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this completely changes. Or goes entirely in a different direction. Who knows what KV has in store for us lol. Her plot twists are always wild!

I’m also loving the thriller-ish aspect to this duet as well. The dark setting and the writing has kept me on my toes from page one. Like most of KV’s books, I just want to yell at the characters, “Don’t go off into the dark, bad things happen there!” 😂 I’m SO pumped for book two.

I’m holding off on a firm star rating until I read book two, because this very much feels like a setup novel. You’re dropped straight into the deep end, fed crumbs, and left to either start connecting dots or get even more confused and I loved every second of it. There’s zero hand-holding, and that constant sense of "this detail could be important" kept me locked in.

That said, I was far more invested in Sloane and Storm than Lydia. While I can appreciate Lydia as a character, her chapters often felt like detours because she's got a wildly different type of storyline and rarely interacted with the other MCs. The switching between two main storylines was jarring at times, especially when I was fully immersed in one thread and not ready to be pulled away.

I'm excited to see what KV cooked up in the next installment!

Your heaven doesn’t belong in my hell.

Love love love. This was a perfect way to start my year of reading. This book was SO GOOD, I was on the edge of my seat. Read it at work then when I got home instead of cooking dinner I sat and read the rest of it. In one day. I need more of Storm, Lydia and Sloane. That ending? UGH I need answers and I need MOREEE. Who did what? Why are there so many secrets between the Flynn’s and the Leary’s? February cannot get here fast enough!

This was… not what I expected.

The setting was cool. The mystery was okay. The rest… was boring. The writing and characters were flat. Many parts made me cringe. Too many random tidbits were added. The romance had no build up and felt inauthentic and forced. There was too much mention of babies (one of which is named Lyle) that was entirely inconsequential and that I couldn’t care less about. It was repetitive and felt cold, almost mechanical.

Very much not what I expect from K.V Rose.

I have an inability to not know how a story ends so I now feel forced to read the second book.

There’s definitely a big difference in the books that take years to release vs this. I’ll continue patiently waiting for Sinister and LGD II.

This book wrecked me a little. The characters are messy and intense, the tension is constant, and then the ending just yeets you off a cliff. I need the next one immediately.

I started this so confused, moving forward I was more confused.
Then I had few answers, very few. I have more questions by the end of the book but damn KV this was good!

Are you confused? Because the twists this woman is laying down, it’s there between the lines. I just feel it. Know it.

She’s honestly the only writer that gives me anxiety because I NEVER KNOW WHAT SHE’S GOING TO DO. That’s a good thing, by the way. 😈

Storm is obviously infatuated with Sloane because she all sugar and spice, his opposite- or is he? The cliffy had me questioning things. Storm and Lydia share a past. There is so much there that is not revealed. Do they even know?

Ahhhhh, gimme book 2.

Storm is a walking red flag and I’m colorblind 🚩

Oof. K.V. Rose really said "how toxic can I make this?" and then doubled down.

Storm is absolutely unhinged, Sloane has zero survival instincts, and Lydia is the literal devil. I spent half the book rolling my eyes at the mess and the other half vibrating because the tension is actually insane. It’s gritty, it’s gross, and I’m already hitting "buy" on the sequel. If you want a hero with green flags, keep walking. This is a red forest and I’m lost in it.

So KV has done it again and ripped my heart out with Lesser Wolves. My head is a jumbled mess, and I don’t even know who I’m rooting for anymore.

The thriller vibes here are just perfection, and I always can count on KV Rose to deliver a dark, and insane plot, with a man that makes me question my sanity. Honestly women that make me question my sanity, also lol.

I’m dying for book two, but until then I’ll just sit here and try not to combust from the anticipation. Pick this one up. You won’t regret it.

this book was SO freaking good! I went in not expecting too much, just reading it because I love KV Rose's plots and writing style and was intrigued with Storm from KVR's other book "Did They Break You?". but once I started reading I couldn't. Freaking. Stop. it's SO goddamn good, I loves Storm and Sloane so much. I have mixed feelings on Lydia because I wasn't as interested at times as I was with Sloane, but I still liked her. The plot was unique, the characters were great, and it was hot 🤭😫🌶 I cannot wait for Fewer Saints, the ending has me on the edge of my seat for book 2

Omg that cliffhanger!!! I need book 2 stat. This book laid down so much groundwork and yet I still have no idea what’s happening. This is one of the things I love about K.V. Writing you really never know what’s happening until it hits you in the face and you realize it’s been in plain sight the whole time! The thriller aspect of this one was amazing! Storm and Sloane have the hottest chemistry and Lydia I’m too sure of her yet obviously we’ve just scratched surface with her! I’m on pins and needles to see how this story will unfold.

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a sequel as badly as I want Fewer Saints. This cliffhanger was brutal!

In typical KV Rose fashion, she made me fall irrevocably in love with a giant red flag. Seriously, I’m obsessed with Storm. To me, he is on the same level as Eli and I LOVE Eli.

I adore Storm and Sloane together. I even kinda like Storm and Lydia together. I’m torn between wanting Storm and Sloane as endgame or wanting Storm, Sloane, and Lydia together in an FMF relationship.

This book was everything I have come to love in a KV Rose book and more. The suspense, tension, and darkness are perfect. I am counting down the days until Fewer Saints comes out with absolutely no chill. 🖤

that ending.

“Your heaven doesn’t belong in my hell.”

I don’t even know if I have the words right now to describe how much I loved this book. The thriller murder mystery vibes were so good and I was literally biting my nails stressing over theories and over the tension, because gods oh gods was that tension and yearning so good. I honestly am so here for this triangle, I cannot wait to see how it picks up in the second book. That ending was everything, my heart hurts.

Stormy

No no no.. No!! Omg… If you like dark thriller -esque romance, read this. NOW.

KV, if it’s not Sloane… I can’t promise I won’t rip book two in shreds.

Also.. all the nods to other writtings, the absolute poetry of storytelling. Devoured is an easy word I can place with this book.

Couldn’t put it down…

I couldn’t put it down, but I find that’s the case with most books I’ve read by KV. I was intrigued by Storm when we first met him in DTBY and he is everything I thought he’d be. I also love our dark angel Sloane and their chemistry is palpable. I cannot wait for book two!

Didn't like Lydia at all.She is desperate to hang on to Storm from something that happened years before and she thought about wanting him but i didn't feel that attraction towards her from him.Storm is in love with Sloane it's obviously and he thinks she's too good for him.The ending was like wtf? My poor girl Sloane has had her heart broken 💔

Okay first, loved seeing Court and Remi in this-obviously. And Storm, that man is everything. I am a sucker for a flawed toxic fictional man, who is also protective. Getting the three different POVs was perfection, and the mystery just added a whole different layer for darkness. CANNOT WAIT FOR BOOK 2!

“Are you a monster, Storm Leary, or are you more?”
This first book of the duet is like the first act of a play and has left me with many questions.
Three main characters (FMC,MMC, FMC) with unique backgrounds, personalities, secrets and they are interconnected in different ways.
KV slowly reveals this world and characters like figuring out an intricate puzzle. As with all her books I always trust the process.
Need Book 2!

Good story, but....

I'm not a fan of dragging out a one book story and publishing it as a duet. Not even if you're KV Rose.
