Fire doesn’t scare me. Wanting her does. I’m a the one who stands when danger announces itself with sirens, and where I know better than to cross certain lines. She’s one of them. She moves like she’s always braced for impact. Curves she tries to hide. Eyes that don’t miss a damn thing. And the closer I get, the clearer it becomes, she’s not just hiding from her past. She’s fighting it. When fires start burning wrong… when the timing feels too perfect… my instincts lock onto her, and they don’t let go. Touching her would be a mistake. Protecting her is unavoidable. And wanting her like this? That might be the most dangerous thing of all, because She's already Obsessing Me
HER
I didn’t come here to want anyone. I came here to stay invisible. I’ve already survived an abusive ex who used fire to control, intimidate, and almost destroy me. I know what happens when attraction turns into a trap. So when the town’s firefighter starts watching me, really watching me, I tell myself it’s nothing. Until he stands too close. Until his voice drops. Until my body forgets all the rules I made to survive. This was never supposed to be a curvy girl romance. It was supposed to be quiet. Temporary. Safe. But when danger closes in again… when my past reaches for me… I have to decide— Do I run before I want him too much? Or do I let him touch me… protect me… claim me? I Can already see that I am Obsessing HIM
A steamy small town firefighter romance filled with danger, proximity, and restraint A curvy girl romance where desire collides with survival Perfect for readers who crave suspense, slow-burn tension, and when opposites attract with consequences
A small town firefighter with a curvy spicy romance story with Happy Ending!!!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Quick and easy book to read, short with a lot of story and background
First off.. The men at the Ashford County FD..from the 3 books I've read, are such amazing men (we love us some fictional men) 🤌. Noah is the firefighter for this book, he meets Mia after running into her at a grocery store and then again at a volunteer center she volunteered at. Her ex is following her (but why was his name never given?) after she left him after previous events. He was making himself known. Mia and Noah became close while he was making sure she was safe from her ex. He cares so much about her. I do find that the author likes to repeat words and phrases in her books. Same sentences (or close to it) I read in a couple books.
This is part of the Men of the Ashford County Fire Department Series but can be read as a standalone. This is Noah's story. Mia was being stalked by her ex and Noah comes to her rescue. A sweet slow burn, small town romance. Well written with strong, likable characters. I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
