Imagine Artificial: A Sci-Fi Horror Story

USING AI TO WRITE? THAT'S CREATIVE SUICIDE...

Nasty Nadine would do anything to be a rap superstar. Anything except take a shortcut, despite the near-endless pressure from her abusive boyfriend to tap into the latest AI.

One day everything changes, and Nadine, left reeling, turns to the one thing she swore she never would.

Imagine Artificial, an AI interface that lets its user do anything and be anyone. Creativity and stardom are attainable with the push of a button. It's so easy.

But sometimes what's easy isn't what's right.

IMAGINE ARTIFICIAL is the next hair-raising tale of speculative fiction from MIKE MARSBERGEN. Grounded yet dreamlike, gritty, hard-hitting and timely, this ebook story is perfect for those who like psychological, character-driven near-future fiction, or for those fans of ANOTHER LIFE who are craving more.

A lifelong lover of stories, MIKE MARSBERGEN lives in Keswick, a small Canadian town where not much happens, located slightly north of Toronto, a big city where quite a bit happens. He spent his late twenties living halfway around the world in the beautiful subtropical city of Auckland, New Zealand—which is where he’d live if he had an unlimited-money cheat code in life. Or citizenship.

Two teachers are to blame for pushing him firmly onto the path of storytelling. In Grade 7, Ms. Brennan gave him the “Most Creative Stories Award,” and in Grade 12, Mr. Baird challenged him to write something other than weird comedy. So he wrote his first horror story.

For ten years MIKE MARSBERGEN helped compile TEVUN-KRUS, a free-to-read monthly e-zine on Wattpad dedicated to sci-fi and speculative fiction. He contributed to countless issues over the years while developing his craft, with well over a hundred short stories and novellas to his name.

Most recently he has been doing some of his most meaningful and thoroughly enjoyable work yet: managing SAGE THE GODDESS, a rapper and R&B singer on the rise in Toronto.

He loves cats, and they love him.
