Jaylin, Nokea, Shane, Scorpio, and let's not forget about Felicia, are determined to make this a read you'll never forget. While Jaylin fights his battle to stay out of jail for giving Felicia a major beat-down, he also has to do what it takes to maintain his marriage to Nokea. This time, she's skeptical about standing by her man, and when she finds out that Scorpio and Jaylin can't quite keep their feelings under control, throwing in the towel just might be the best thing to do. Till death do us part, Jaylin confirms, as losing his wife is not an option. For everyone, Scorpio's cravings for the one man she'll never be able to conquer must come to an end. Shane continues to show her that he's the only man she needs, but will his efforts be enough? Of course, Felicia stands in the way of everyone's happiness and satisfaction to her could possibly mean death.
Hampton is a native St. Louis, with a gift and passion for writing. She maintained journals for several years, but it wasn’t until she read Terry McMillan’s Disappearing Acts that she considered taking her writing adventures to another level.
In 2002, Hampton completed her memoir, along with two fiction novels: Two's Enough Three's a Crowd and How Can I Be Down? The following year, she completed thrilling sequels to both novels and additional bestselling novels followed thereafter.
Hampton is known for bringing the heat to readers, and her literary career is filled with many accomplishments. She is an Essence Magazine Bestselling Author, she was named a Favorite Female Fiction writer in Upscale Magazine by O.O.S.A., she is a 2009 African American Literary Award Nominee for her mystery novel, The Dirty Truth, and was awarded Best Female Writer by Infini Promoters. Her dedication to her career lead to a multi-book deal through Urban/Kensington Books in New York City, a publishing house that she refers to as her literary home.
In addition to writing, and having an entrepreneur spirit, Hampton manages her own insurance business where she works as an Insurance Broker for many customers throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. She is also the founder of VOICES Books & Publishing, VOICES Books on Wheels and VOICES Magazine. VOICES is the place where every voice can be heard, and Hampton uses her publishing company to assist writers through the POD process. Her goal has been to work with motivated writers who deserve a chance in this very challenging book industry. She’s been referred to as the “go to person” by many aspiring writers, and works as a literary representative for some of the most talented, upcoming and established authors today. Including, National Bestselling author, Keisha Ervin (Urban Books/Kensington), 2007’s Best Male Writer, Darrin Lowery (Urban Books/Kensington), OASIS (Strebor/Simon & Schuster), Silhouettes (Urban Books/Kensington), Curtis Alcutt (Strebor/Simon & Schuster) and E.V. Adams (Strebor/Simon & Schuster), Tia Hines (Urban/Kensington) and Kaya Henderson (Urban/Kensington).
Hampton's latest releases are: Don't Even Go There, Full Figured 1, The Dirty Truth and Book 6 of the Naughty Series. Naughty includes Hampton’s most loveable, desired, and outrageous character, Jaylin Rogers. Readers can’t get enough of this “bad boy” and his continued drama goes on in Naughty No More. Other novels include: Two Wrongs Don’t Make a Right, SLICK, How Can I Be Down?, No Justice No Peace, a Girls from Da Hood collaboration with Brenda Hampton, Keisha Ervin and Ed McNair, and Who or What is in that Closet?!, a children's chapter book that Hampton wrote with her son, Aaron Littlejohn.
In her titillating new novel, author extraordinaire Brenda Hampton returns with her most loved and hated characters: Jaylin, Nokea, Shane, Scorpio, Felicia and Stephon. Even though hundreds of miles separate Jaylin and Nokea from the drama of St. Louis, there's no place like home.
Jaylin, bent on giving Felicia what she deserves, plays judge and jury, exacting his own sentence. The law is broken and someone has to pay...literally. Is Jaylin with his status and wealth above the law?
With Jaylin back in St. Louis, even though Nokea hates to admit it, old insecurities have resurfaced. Will he or won't he?
Shane knew what type of woman Scorpio was before getting involved with her. With him, she is a changed woman, or so he hopes. Is Shane fooling himself?
Scorpio loves Shane with her mind and body. But does Jaylin still have her heart?
Felicia still can't get over the fact that Jaylin chose both Nokea and Scorpio over her. Revenge is sweet, but can it be bitter too?
Put all of them in one city, linked though love, lust, friendship and revenge, trouble and commotion abound.
By allowing these characters to tell their story, Hampton brings alive the events, drama and emotions. She has a deft touch with her characters. Too Naughty proves to be a real page-turner. Book number five involving the same cast and she pulls it off AGAIN! Hampton's books are always well worth the effort.
With Felicia loading the gun and Stephon willing to pull the trigger, this dastardly duo keeps bringing misery to everyone else's lives. Determined to make Felicia pay, Jaylin finds himself in jail, possibly facing time, a civil suit and maybe even a divorce. At his weakest, he begs Nokea to stand by her man. Will she?
Nokea loves her husband. But she's fed up with his tantrums. Every time he steps into St. Louis, their relationship shrinks. When Nokea confronts Scorpio about Jaylin, she finds herself tracing her own dangerous steps of what ifs. Has Jaylin finally made her regret their vows?
Shane loves Scorpio. Unfortunately, he still sees her as the foolish woman who dated his best friend and feels a need to test her love for Jaylin. Despite what she says, it's obvious that Scorpio is still holding out hope for Jaylin. Can Shane and Scorpio make a go at a real relationship minus their past?
After screwing Jaylin over, Felicia finds out that Stephon is exactly who they said he was. Angry, disappointed and afraid, she runs to Stephon for help. Will he eventually regret his decision?
"Naughty: Too Naughty" is the fifth installment in the Naughty series by Brenda Hampton. While I am heavily invested in the melodrama that is Jaylin Jerome Rogers, I'm ready to retire him to happily ever after.
Felicia, Felicia, Felicia girl where is your self worth. How can a person get upset because things didn't go their way? I'm so confussed! Scorpio, Nokea and Felicia these woman need to get it together. Its amazing to me how this book series is so true to life. I often wonder why woman act the way these 3 have behaved in this series. If we are honest with ourselves we all know that a man can only do what you allow. I find it hard in this book to get so upset with the men, all except for Stephon who is a hot mess! This book Series is really good, I'm on to the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, this book was just too much! All I can say is drama, drama, sex, sex, more sex, and even more drama! I don't know how Brenda Hampton comes up with this stuff, but you just cannot put these books down until you are at the very last page. This circle of friends is something else, and I can't wait to see how everything goes down in the next book.
Theee was a whole lot of stuff going on in this book! Let's just say a few folks finally got what was coming to them. I'm going to have to say I was a little disappointed in Nokea. I'll just leave that right there. Scorpio is a little hoeish. For the way this character is described, she sure puts herself our there in a bad way. Jaylin is Jaylin. This is a very good read, I enjoy this series so far.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I enjoyed this book alot of stuff shocked me i didn't see none of it coming. Sad Shane got shot due to Felicia mess. In the long run he got some good news as he healed. Jayline did alot of looking at himself and his ways and was true with himself . Hope he don't backslide we will see. On to book 6 lets see what happens next.
While I didn’t enjoy the narrator the book was packed with the drama. None of which my rational mind can comprehend but full of it! And Felecia is due, I hope that letter she sent at the end was a lie.
This is another version of Naughty By Nature. Either one you choose is fine, just published by a different company. The saga continues with St. Louis’ finest of love and hatred characters. I never want to stop reading once I begin. It’s just that good!
Mmmp mmp mmpp..tsk..what A sad web of tangled lives. I thought the drama would slow down but it just got kicked up a notch. Jaylin got to have his way but when his way lands him in hot water and possible jail time will Nokea be down for the ride? After all he can't handle the fact of losing her..even as she goes back and sees if an ole flame can be reignited again. And but of course Scorpio's close proximity in the Lou seems to be too close for comfort for Jaylin..as well as Shane. Will she finally learn to stop using sex as a weapon? Or will she get a damn head on her shoulder..instead of between her legs. And we know this big dysfunctional mess is fueled by Felicia's greed and Stephon's revenge. Five star all the way..on to book six!
Of course Felicia and her bs ! && Its sad that Stephon had to go out like that, but it is what it is. This is book 5 && and I still don't like Scorpio, but anyways. Overall, it was good ! We finally got to see a little bit of that "thug life" come out of Jaylin, since he's always bragging about no one has the b*lls to try him. I will forever have a weak spot for Shane, but I hope he wakes up soon, and realizes that if Nokea truly had the nerve to leave Jaylin that Scorpio will be his back up and will drop his a*s like he was nothing. Smh, off to make my review for book 6, its a shame how wrapped up I'm into this series !
3.5 for this edition. Scorpio is still Scorpio when it comes to Jaylin even though she claims to be in love with Shane now. She will never be over him. Ever. She can't fathom he doesn't love her the same way but I beg to differ.
Stephon had to answer for his bad behavior. Felicia is still a rotten, deceitful, ungrateful wretch.
Jaylin is in love with Nokea but still lusts for Scorpio. Strictly lust not love as she believes. Nokea loves her family deeply but is getting tired of the lip locking, swapping going on within the small circle
As always, this was a page-turner. Some of the errors were annoying and the banter between Shane and Jaylin was very irritating. I hope men don't talk to each other like that in real life. I also found it very disrespectful how Jaylin discussed his sex life to Shane in front of Nokea. The things he was saying about her was out of line. Overall, it's a drama-filled book and I am starting the next book today!
Things went really well and smooth in this book I wanted Felicia to fell a little more pain but I guess not. She did a lot of danger and I think that she should have gotten a little bit more taste of her own medicine. Scorpio is being tested and I am hoping that she gets a fair chance at love. Jaylin on the other hand needs to stop using his friendship to manipulate others. :-) Great read time for part 6.
All I can say is amazing...I can't give a review on this book without giving it away...I'm just upset that the last book i need is not on Nook or Kindle...So I gotta wait for it to come in the mail on Monday....#anxiouslywaiting
And the beat continues. A fantastic read this series is everything I LOVE the character development the plot. Omg is all I can say. This entire series is a MUST read
