'M𝐈D𝐍I𝐆H𝐓 𝐖H𝐈S𝐏E𝐑S' Is the third full length contemporary billionaire romance in the (Midnight Manor) series. Spoken in 'dual perspectives.' Nero & Cinder

This is Nero Voss's story, a Cinderella retelling, and like the original story, the stepmother and her daughters make Cinder's life a living hell, day in day out she's at their beck and call, not only doing all their chores but hers as well and working as a stripper and bartender to cater for their expensive tastes which she has to hand over her wages to compensate for.

Nero was all set to marry Maude, Cinder's step sister until an indiscretion came to light and he called off the wedding, and then fixated on a girl he stumbled across as she worked her stripping job, enter Cinder..

Until enough was enough and via text she left the house of slave labour. With nowhere to go and saved by her friendly stalker Nero offers her a safe sanctuary until she can get back up on her feet. But once Cinder was under his roof he made sure that’s where she stayed.

All of Nero's older brothers have kidnapped their girls so he surprised me when he didn't follow down that same path as them. Maybe the youngest Voss is the most mature one of the lot, because other than his stalking ways he controlled himself and kind of did things the right way without having to go to the lengths his brothers went to.

I wouldn't necessarily peg this as a dark romance book unless I'm completely desensitized to puppy dog stalkers. I didn't particularly find Nero a dark hero, he'd made mistakes knew his shortcomings and admitted that he can fixate on a person which in turn means he stalks them, one time and one time only he did take it too far but now he controls those urges. 65451226-2019570151487824-6157464638251335680-n

Midnight Whispers by P. Rayne

4/5 stars

Midnight Whispers is the third book in the Midnight Manor series. It was my first and I really enjoyed it. It's a Cinderella retelling and I am just a sucker for fairytale retellings. So I dove into it enthusiastically.

The book starts with Cinder working on a dress she bought for a charity event. Her stepsister Maude is about to get proposed to by Nero. And it'll be the first time Cinder would meet Nero. But her stepmother gives her extra chores and ruins her dress so she cannot go to the charity event.

She is able to fix the dress and goes to the event with a mask on. She dances with Nero and feels a connection. Same goes for Nero.

Then there is a time skip and Nero finds out something about Maude which has huge consequences for the entire family.

Meanwhile Cinder works at a bar and at a local strip club. Giving most of her money to her stepmother.
One night she feels like she is being watched, and she loves being watched by this mystery man. She feels hunted, stalked and it stirs a lot of desire in her.
And then one night the man pays for a lap dance. And it turns out to be Nero. And that is what kick starts this book.

There is a lot of push and pull and this book. They want each other but Nero has certain beliefs which he sticks to.
But I also love how much kindness is in Nero's heart. And how respectful he is towards Cinder. How he supports her hopes and dreams. And how he puts her safety always first.

I looooooved the scenes in The Ritual club! I kinda wished they were even spicier. But I really liked the balance in those scenes.

I was a teenie tiny bit disappointed that it wasn't a big retelling of Cinderella. It felt more like a regular book than a retelling. So that was a bit of a missed opportunity.

I also wished Cinder and Nero had more depth to them. It's a really quick and fast paced story. And I missed feeling their inner thoughts a lot. And the fast pace flew so quickly at times that I wasn't really able to absorb certain scenes.

But overall a really fun and hot book! 4 big stars from me for this beauty.

BTW - I rant because I expected better 😫 Gawd this book got under my skin
** I enjoyed the prev 2 books & I LOVE the NARRATORS & DUAL NARRATION IS MY FAVORITE **

Personal view:
- Not a fan of sharing (I don’t see the connection to love or romance)… guess I prefer the ‘touch her & die’ trope 💀❤️‍🔥
** I think that’s 1 big reason I liked this one the least**

- Don’t like how controlling & hypocritical Nero is
- Don’t like how he tosses her aside & plays mind games with her (he leaves her balled up crying on the floor & that’s it…??)
>> 😑 Cinder (Cin) just accepts his BS without question (& yeah I get her background is messed up, but where’s her growth - OR - backbone?)
- She’s a doormat…no matter what he said or did, she was just cool with it. She literally gets mad once & it was settled in less than half a chapter.
>> 😠 It’s all about his insecurities & past insane behavior (creepy history of stalking) so he takes it out on her & she’s just OK with it??

** Most of all, I don’t like that he never really has to answer for his treatment of her.

💔 I read lots of dark romance & I usually know what to expect going into a book but I guess I expected a bit more cuz the prev 2 seemed to be more than just LUST. I don’t buy his jealousy crap (just wants to control her).

To me besides just lust, it all boils down to:
Nero’s desire to have someone to control that worships him!

Did I stay up late this?
Maybe
Do I regret it?
Definitely not!

Nero is a loveable scamp who may like to stalk ladies a little bit. I mean it's only a little, and he generally falls in love with them so where's the harm🤷‍♀️

This series is highly addictive and I will be salivating while I wait for Sid's story since they hint at even more secrets being revealed😍

Much love to the duo behind P. Rayne for hooking me up with an ARC. Any chance you wanna add me to that ARC list for Twisted Truths? I can't go back to waiting for release day like a peasant🤣

Nero Voss is the youngest of the infamous Voss brother’s but he most certainly should not be underestimated . Especially not after he meets the most spectacular woman, Cindy (who is in fact NOT his fiancé) at his party who changes literally everyone . Then when information of his fiancé cheating came to light, Nero was finally able to break off the engagement and take his infatuation (stalking lol) to the next level . Which involves a private sweet in his residence and a new found lifestyle with him . But how true can a fairytale like this be ?

Cindy knows that it is wrong to take Nero up on his offer but she knows that she can’t refuse his generous offer . Over time the two of them start to become closer and closer which Nero takes as a sign that he can trust Cindy with his secrets .. which Cindy will always keep his secrets . But what happens when Nero finds out that she has been keeping deep, dark secrets of her own ?

Another fantastic fairy-tale retelling by P. Rayne this time in the form of Cinderella . I loved loved loved how organic this set of tropes and story fit with Nero and Cindy . Nero being the youngest, with dark stalker tendencies and the love of his private club and then we have Cindy who is of corse the forgotten orphan who is unwanted by her new stepfamily . But with that being said I do feel like there could have been a more unique twist that we didn’t see coming which would have kept us on our toes a little more with this retelling . As always the narration was so good with Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton - the two of them always do the most amazing job . I’m very VERY excited for the next book in this series as he is the brother I have been waiting for !!!

This is book three in the Midnight Manor series and it can be read as a complete stand alone .

The third audiobook delivers just like the previous ones. Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton bring the characters to life, perfectly capturing their emotions. I was hooked, feeling every ounce of happiness, pain, and longing along the way.

This unique Cinderella retelling offers a fresh twist on the classic fairy tale. Cinder and Nero’s story is simply captivating, leaving me eager for the next installment. If you crave dark billionaire romance with a dash of spice and a sprinkle of fairy tale magic, this series is a must-listen!

A very special thanks to Valentine PR for the gifted ALC.

Another riveting entry to the Midnight Manor series. Which was a delight to tandem read between audio and ebook. I gobbled this one up in less than a day and I am left wanting more from this family. I'm already grieving that there is only one more book to go. But I have a feeling it is going to be a great finale!

Midnight Whispers is a Cinderella Retelling and it focuses on Nero and Cinder. Cinder is the step-sister of Nero's ex-fiance, Maude, and also the woman who has caught his eye at T&Ts. The local exotic dancer joint. When he is losing control after discovering Maude's infidelity, he goes for some mindless pleasure and ends up with a new obsession.

Nero has a bit of a history of fixating on women and he has actually been a stalker before... so... that's a new one. His brothers warn him about the trouble he could get into but they can't keep him the pull towards Cinder.

Cinder is tired of being under her step-families thumb and she really doesn't have anything more to give. When she notices Nero watching her at the club, she knows who he is and though she knows she should clue him in on how that.. she can't help but be intoxicated by his attention. She's put off her own dreams for so long and the chance to have something real and all hers with Nero is too much temptation to resist.

I really enjoyed their romance and their steamy connections. The only thing that was tough for me was the weirdness of the 3rd Act. It just seemed unbalanced and a bit "off" after all we came to learn about the two of them. There were enough other things that could be a conflict without adding that into it, in my opinion. But I still had a great time.

The narration was in duet performance by Jason Clarke & Callie Dalton. Lovingly narrated and music to my ears.

Thank you to Valentine PR for an advance copy of Midnight Whispers.

I know I begin every review of theirs like this, but I adore P. Rayne and everything I’ve read by them, Midnight Whispers being no exception.

One of my favorite things about this book was that we got to experience a lot more of the town and people in it. The last books have been focused primarily on Midnight Manor and the residents of it, but with Cinder being a ‘townie’ herself and still working in the town, we got a lot more of a peek into the surroundings and I enjoyed that a lot.

I love Nero and how he has his own struggles separate from the rest of the Voss brothers. I also liked Cinder and I think their relationship was complementary. She had some surprises up her sleeve and I think the areas of self-doubt that she had were handled so well coupled with her areas of confidence and Nero helped lift up her areas of doubt and really made her shine where she was already confident. They aren’t my favorite couple as people (I think that’s still reserved for Kol & Rapsody) but I did really love their relationship.

If I have anything negative to say it’s that this one may have been the most anticlimactic of the series so far. Without getting too spoilery, it didn’t have the same sort of perilous third act (though there was some peril) as the other two and it kind of left me wanting a little more. On the flip side, it keeps this one different so we’re not following the same formula which is something that this book did in several areas.

I am so excited for Twisted Truths, Sid is a whole enigma at this point and I am dying to know what kind of girl is going to be able to get under his skin and bring him out of his shell.

Another alluring and delicious visit to Midnight Manor from dark alter ego P. Rayne. Midnight Whispers is evocative and immersive, delivering a sultry and atmospheric take on the much beloved Cinderella…only so much more naughty. I can’t get enough of this world- each book is more yummy than the last.

Nero….the broken hearted brother. And the beautiful girl he decides to stalk after a drowing his sorrrows strip club visit….the elusive Cinder. Only turns out Cinder is connected to him in the most complicated of ways, she’s the stepsister of his ex fiance. And it’s not the first time he’s crossed paths with her.

I was so epically excited for this next outing, both because Nero has been so curious and interesting to me from the start, but also because Cinderella tellings are perhaps my favorite of all fairytale translations. Nero turns out to be quite a wonderful surprise. He’s every bit as mercurial and alpha as I expected- a brokenhearted stalker that falls hard. In fact, I think he ends up being the sweetes of the brothers so far….the swooniest when it comes to sweet and spicy Cinder. Of course he does all the naughty things with her, but he’s also so attentive and caring. Like legit over the top protective and supportive. He’s got plenty of baggage and darkness lurking, but Cinder definitely softens him in the best way.

I loved the way P Rayne played out the Cinderella elements, and a fun mix that our “prince” was engaged to one of the evil stepsister. Our Cinderella still is doing the down and “dirty” work at the behest of our stepmother- only this time instead of cleaning she’s stripping to make ends meet. She’s definitely a scrapper and a survivor, a great mix of strength and vulnerability. She has an intense and captivating chemistry with amorous Nero.

The Voss brothers are so very fun- and I love how creative, fast paced, and mesmerizing the stories of the Midnight Manor are…..just the right amount of drama, intrigue, sugar, and spice.

The way I freaken DEVOURED this book! And can't wait to get to the other books in the series. I read the trope lists for this book and was so eager to dive in I skipped over the first two, but I will without a doubt be going back. Especially after getting a glimpse into their relationship in this book! I need more of the Voss brothers.

Nero was perfectly grumpy which is one of my favorite performances Jason does! And without a doubt he nailed this one! P. Rayne did such an incredible job with how she had their relationship unfold. It was definitely a Cinderella re-telling, but she gave us so much more. Probably my favorite re-telling I've ever read! Callie Dalton performed Cinder. And my gosh the way I have missed her in my ears! Its been far too long. And she absolutely didn't disappoint. She leaned into Cinder's vulnerable yet feisty side so well! I loved how adventurous Cinder was even after everything she had been through. P. Rayne new what she was doing when she cast this book, for sure!

I cant wait to get to the rest of this series! This one was such a short and fun listen! I highly recommend it!

Oh my Lanta ‼️ I have loved all the Voss brothers stories each one gets better and better..when I think Kol was my favorite here comes Nero and Cinders story dropping.

The Fmc, Cinder, is poor. After the death of her father she has worked not only as a servant in her home but also as a dancer and bar maid just to give her step mom money and what little is left she survives on.

The MMC, Nero, is the youngest of the Voss brothers. He was set to marry Maude , until the truth came out and he called it off. He becomes fixated on a woman he sees at the local strip club… which is how he meets Cinder.

When Nero learns that Cinder is basically living in her car after saying enough is enough to her family he takes her to Midnight Manor. Cinder agrees but only till she’s on her feet, what she didn’t know is Nero had no intention of letting her go… ever.

Cinder and Nero had an intense chemistry and Nero was super protective of her to the point of watching every move she made. When the secrets of both of them roll out it makes their relationship much more intense.

If you like these tropes and you enjoyed Asher and Kols books definitely add this to your list . I can’t wait to read Sid’s book. Thank you to the authors for letting me be a part of your team

5 star Review Midnight Whispers (Midnight Manor #3) by P Rayne

eBook/Audio:

I couldn’t wait to jump into Midnight Whispers, book three in the Midnight Manor series. From the first chapter I was invested in Nero Voss and
story. It was everything I was expecting and more.

Nero Voss is the youngest of the 4 brothers and has intrigued me from the first book. Having been burnt in the past by his ex, he has a hard time trusting.

Needing to get away from her family, Cinder accepts help from the one man she shouldn’t, Nero. She knows as her step sister’s ex he is off limits and yet he calls to her.

Narrated by Jason Clarke and Cllie Dalton they were easy to listen to and brought all the passion, angst and drama of the story to life. They certainly did justice to the twists and turns of the story and characters that P. Rayne created.

Helping Cinder will bring Nero back to life. However, both have secrets and when all is revealed will it bring them together or rip them apart?

This is my favorite of the series.

I won't mind having a stalker if it's someone like Nero Voss. It's time for Cinderella retelling in Midnight Manor, only this Prince Charming is a possessive obsessed anti hero. Cinder should have been terrified to know about his past but our heroine has been hurt and used and looked down upon and Nero's single minded focus on her happiness is something special for you. Even if he is her step sister's ex fiance!

Billionaire Nero Voss is heartbroken because he caught his fiance cheating and to drown his sorrows in a glass of alcohol, he visits the strip club in town. A dancer catches his eye and he feels his old stalker tendencies are getting awakened. But he cannot help it. Little does he know, it's Cinder..The step sister of his ex fiance. And the masked beauty he danced with at a masquerade ball. Cinder has been stripping and bar tending to give the money to her evil stepmother while being starved and used like a maid. When her stepmother throws her out of her own house..Nero has to offer her a place to stay. Cinder knows it's crossing a line but she is falling for him too.

Nero is definitely lighter than the other Voss brothers. So his past as stalker definitely surprised me. He didn't use his technical skills to stalk Cinder though. He used the old school method of watching her at her work and following her to the bar. And that's why he didn't know her connection to his ex fiance. Cinder is so sweet but a complete fighter. Her own home has turned into a nightmare but she tried her best to stay there. She is a talented dancer and has own dreams but never had the chance to think about it till Nero stepped in. He is so adoring and caring and protective..argh so sweet and complete contrast to the darkness peaking from his heart. He had a traumatic childhood and experienced loss. Even though his brothers tried to shield him, he still has issues and scars. He tend to grip onto every person he falls in love with. And Cinder's fierceness and sweetness made it easy. They had an explosive chemistry. Cinder hiding her identity almost destroyed everything but something dangerous happened and Nero realises he cannot really live without her. I loved to see the other Voss brothers and their queens again. This book was a nice balance of spicy and swoony. But I cannot stop thinking about Obsidian's book because I feel we are driving right to the deep end..

I was excited to read Midnight Whispers because from the moment I met Nero Voss the youngest brother in book one I have been itching for his story. Once again this writing duo have shown us how very talented they are by taking us into the dark side with this raw and gritty story.
Nero has been burnt in the past and he now finds it hard to trust but when Cinder needs help to escape her family he steps up without hesitation. Problem is this girl should be off limits because she is his ex’s step sister but it’s not long before lines are crossed and secrets are revealed. So will Cinder bring light back into Nero’s world, one click now to find out.
Midnight Whispers is a wonderful addition to the Midnight Manor Series.

The plot development is meh. Like in the first 40% the mcs were already developing feelings. I can understand if they were attracted to each other, but developing feelings that early is not for me.

The only good thing is the writing is fast-paced, but the plot is nothing special overall. I believe the 1st book was a little better compared to this book.

The Cinderella retelling part is also good. The elements were there like evil step-sisters and step-mother, a ballroom party, the dance, mention of glass slippers etc.

Overall, it was a decent and no-brainer read. Don't go into this with higher expectations.

“I can’t get this woman out of my system, and I fear that if I give all of myself to her, I might become more obsessed than ever. But it’s becoming harder and harder to control my urge to claim her.” —Nero Voss

4.25🌟

gurgling choking gasping swooning wheezing screaming throwing up

Whoa. This book was unquestionably just as blistering as the last one yet again. And this has to be my fav from the series even though I have one more book to go, because, among the three remaining Voss brothers, I feel like Nero is my favorite as well 🫦👀

This dark and gothic Cinderella retelling was perfect for those seeking a strangers-to-lovers banter and, uhm... well, the stalking trope😀 Given how enigmatic and captivating Nero Voss is in his own distinctive style, no wonder he portrays a dark Prince Charming in this version of retellings. And, for heaven's sake, I believe I need to get professional assistance because his obsession and stalking behavior were not as creepy as they seemed. And I'd be happy to have someone do that to me if I were Cinder. Aren't I really that sick?😶 Because how came he is following her anywhere she goes except her home, only because he wanted to lessen his obsession towards her by giving her a space to be herself and not followed and stalked by him, eventho it does still a bit unhinged to my liking.

I admire Nero's struggles, which are distinct from those of the other Voss brothers. Cinder appealed to me as well, and their connection seemed to work well together. She had a few surprises planned, and I believe that her self-doubt and confidence were handled really effectively together. Nero elevated her self-doubt and truly made her shine in her already confident places. I truly adored their relationship, but they aren't my favorite couple because I didn't think Cinder was a lovable fmc (albeit still bearable). And good god, the way Nero comforted her, looked out for her, and made sure she was safe, and making her his everything!??! swooning limping drooling throwing up. Also, you wouldn't want to miss this sensational Nero's quote that had me greening giggling squeaking squealing screeching wheezing throwing up:

“You can call me whatever you want, Cinder. I’m just going to call you mine.” —Nero Voss

I pretty much devoured and gobbled this book yet again. The only issue that made me uneasy, Nero's k!nk(?) to share his partner or let's say lover during 'that' scene. Although, Nero's actions toward Cinder are obvious, yet I still find it unsettling since I fail to see how it relates to love or passion between them. I mean how can you share a s3x with the person you love and adore to another person? 🫠 However, I suppose it relies on the author's rights and choices. Likewise, the conclusion and their strengthened relationship will make up for it. Furthermore, I want to admire Callie Dalton and Jason Clarke for narrating this book. I adore the way they embodied the characters and captured their emotions so well. I was captivated, experiencing every bit of excitement, suffering, and yearning along the way.

Not to mention, the found family trope that delivers stronger in this book was outstanding, especially since we had to see the girls' time scene about Anabelle, Rapsody, and Cinder. I'm very excited to see what the author will offer us in the final book. And because we were also given numerous tidbits of Sid's story, which has increased my curiosity about what the author will reveal. So, yes!!! I will certainly read Twisted Truths right after this! 💥🔥

this is the first book of this author i’ve read and i could NOT put it down! this book tells the story of cinder and nero who met at a gala where he saved her from another male, telling her he was going to propose to maude who was her (evil) stepsister.

their story is much like Cinderella, even her name is similar to it. she has to do all the chores in the house and once she turned 18 her step mother made her take a job as a stripper, which despite being forced into it she actually loved. it’s where she sees nero again after finding out his fiancée cheating on him (not of a plot twist who told him). he’s a billionaire with enough money to spare and she’s broke, juggling two jobs. they fall for each other and experiment some sexual things together. towards the end there’s a drama happening. poor cinder. the book ends on a cliffhanger and wants to have you immediately read the next book. loved it!

Midnight Whispers is my favorite one of the Midnight Manor series so far! They all have been really good but I just really enjoyed this story. From the first chapter I was hooked on these two characters. This story focuses on Nero Voss’ story and Cinder. It’s a retelling loosely based on Cinderella. Cinder lives with her step mom and two step sisters. They have made her life miserable and she is working constantly and having to give them all her money she makes at the strip club. Nero was engaged to her step sister but it ended. They both come from such a troubled past with grief and trauma. I love that we see glimpses of the previous characters in this story! The audiobook is dual narrated by Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton. These two are the perfect pairing for Nero and Cinder. I loved the emotion they got into the characters.

I have become a big fan of this series by P. Rayne and this book delivered, as I knew it would.

You have a billionaire, darker contemporary romance that is also a Cinderella retelling, which I LOVED the Tid bits that we got in that aspect!

We met Cinder in the past books (she works at the local bar the past MC’s have always ended up hanging out there so we have seen several glimpses of her in the past) and she is now the FMC of this book. Which I was so happy to follow along her story.

This story follows her and Nero Voss. And I’m a HUGE fan of the Voss brothers and their times in The Ritual Club!

I really enjoyed the book, but would have liked a little More depth into the retelling part.

However, I recommend this book and the whole series.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review

Nero & Cinder were very different from what I expected after having read the previous books, but still, the authors gave me everything I wanted from their story: I loved the clever way in which they added the elements of the original story to make this an amazing retelling, I loved the love story of Nero & Cinder, them as individual characters and learning more about the secrets within Midnight Manor.

Nero was the character that stole my heart since I read the first book, particularly because his personality is much lighter than the rest of his brothers, and that was more evident in Midnight Whispers. I really liked that with Nero we could discover more aspects of the Voss family's past, of the plot that connects the series and that he gave us break from the dark plots of the previous books without losing the touch so well done that the series has. I LOVED reading a charming, flirtatious and funny Nero, despite the pain of his past, I loved his stalker plot and knowing how it all started for him, but what I liked most about his character was the way he accepted his feelings for Cinder.

Cinder is also a character that I was dying to read! Her story broke my heart at times, but I also really liked reading the big heart of this girl through her friendship with Lisa, I LOVED her moments with Rapsody & Anabelle too, and how well the three work together. Cinder is a strong, brave girl who makes complicated decisions when necessary, and although her fear leads her to make mistakes, I can't say I she hasn't empathized with her character because of the situation she lives.

Nero & Cinder are my favorite couple in the series! I really liked that they are both so sweet & tender every time they let themselves be carried away by what they feel, the way they understand each other and how Nero supports Cinder to fulfill her dreams, even he family drama and secret that unites them were very well developed by the authors.

🎧Audiobook Review🎧

🩰Narrators: Jason Clarke & Callie Dalton
💙Duet narration

Nero & Cinder are my favorites in Midnight Manor✨, I loved reading them, and I loved every second of this audiobook a little more👌🏽

Jason Clarke as Nero was one of my favorite things 🫠, he brought to life the “Prince Charming” that the Voss brothers have mentioned throughout the series 👏🏽, and I really enjoyed it! I loved that this story had so many moments between the four brothers✨ and I liked listening to them in the audiobook much more and being able to see their true personalities.

I also fell even more in love with the friendship that was born between Cinder, Anabelle & Rapsody! 😍 and I hope to see more of them, with the new girl 🤞, in the next book.

Finally, I really enjoyed hearing the plot of Nero & Cinder, especially how sweet, tender and flirtatious Nero is when he is with her 🥰, the plot twists in this story👌🏽, and the family drama that the authors wrote so well! 🫶🏽

Another amazing read in this Kinky, dirty talking, obsessed, dark retailing world by the fabulous writer P. Rayne. This retailing is based on the fairytale Cinderella except i really don't remember Cinderella working in a strip club and very erotic time in the basement 😁.

So this story starts in the house of Cinder where her stepmother and stepsisters are horrible vile creatures, Cinder has to do all the household chores along with working 2 jobs and has to give her stepmother half of her hard earned wages to keep them in designer gear. While Cinder has to sow fabrics together so she has new clothes and isn't allowed food until everyone else has and the chores are done alone in her room in the tower.

Nero is about to propose to his girlfriend who he thinks he's in love with at a masquerade charity ball. When he sees a woman being hassled by some man so he does the decent thing and while not wanting to make a scene he takes Cinder out of it and they dance together, what should not feel so comfortable between 2 people who have never met before feels anything but.

Months later Nero is planning his wedding when he receives an email showing his fiancé in bed with another man, after calling it a day on his upcoming marriage and having a few too many drinks Nero asks one of his staff to drive him to a strip club when he can't take his eyes away from the stage.

Cinder feels drawn to the booth at the back of the room but can't see who it is, when she starts having the same feeling whenever she now gets on stage until she's finished dancing, a trip to the VIP room tells her that the eyes on her in the back of the room is no-one other than her stepsisters ex-fiance.

After Nero leaves he tries to tamper down his obsession thinking it's not that bad that he watches her, stalks her from afar as he hasn't followed her home or found out anything else about her apart from her other job bartending, as if that would ever be enough 😊

Please tell me what you put in your books because I devoure them all.
And IN ONE SITTING, which is very rare for me!!
I couldn’t put this down, I really loved that it was inspired by Cinderella, I could really see it in the plot, and damn Nero Voss >>
I thought that Kol was great but Nero is my newest book boyfriend.
His obsession with her is everything, he can’t keep his eyes off Cinder and I’m here for it!!!
And I love Cinder, she just has this wholesome character!!

Ohh and his mouth, I’d do anything Nero tells me to

But what I truly love the most are the warnings in the beginning of each book, they’re one of a kind.
I mean I who doesn’t love a little message from the main character
„Knowing Asher and Kol, they were probably asses when they were asked to write an introduction to their stories, so I'll spare you the whole poor tortured billionaire vibe they probably had going on. Because I, for one, am grateful.
If it weren't for Piper and Rayne, you wouldn't be about to embark on what I know is the best journey of the four Voss
brothers. What I have with Cinder tops all of them.
Maybe I'm a little obsessed (IYKYK), but can you blame me?“
You can’t tell me that this isn’t gold!!!

And damn the end broke my heart…
I was sobbing so hard but I love that all of these books have the best happy endings.

And I love that we get to see Kol and Rapsody have the happy ending that they deserve, it makes my heart warm.

So now I’m patiently waiting for the next book to learn more about Sid (I fear that he’s going to be my favourite)☺️

Oh wow what a book this was and I think this might be my favorite one so far.
Midnight Whispers is the third book in the book series Midnight Manor but can be read as a stand alone.

The story is having a really nice flow while reading it and had me sucked in from the first couple of pages perhaps because it is kind of a Cinderella retelling.

This book had me feeling all kind of feelings and it wasn't as dark as I imagined it would be which for me was totally fine since I'm a newbie to dark romance. The story was raw, passionate and hopeful which I really enjoyed.

For those of you who are a fan of dark romance or are curious of this genre I feel like this could be a great fit for you especially if you like me are a Disney princess lover.

What you can expect from this book:
🔥Age-gap (not too high)
🔥Anti-hero
🔥Billionaire
🔥Secret Society
🔥Secrets
🔥Close Proximity
🔥Stalking
🔥Spicy scenes (🔞)

With this book being a dark romance there might be something that could be triggering for you as a reader so here comes the TW warning: death of a parent (off-page since it was before the book took place), murder (also off-page), gun violence, discussion of childhood physical abuse (off-page too), domestic and verbal abuse, sex club, stalking, alcohol and drug use and not to be forgotten sharing a partner.

Now I just can't wait to read the fourth and final book in this amazing series that is called Twisted Truths and to finally get to know Sid the man of mystery 😍
