Opaline suddenly finds herself forced out of the Omega Care Facility after a decade of calling it home.
What she never expected was to be leaving alone, packless, and homeless, quickly losing hope altogether.
But thanks to the stars' fate, one chance encounter with a gruff and terrifying alpha changes everything. This secretly sweet pub owner turns to his son's pack to help get the omega back on her feet.
Only to discover they're her scent matches.
Whisked away to their mountain hideaway hot springs resort, with the offer of a new life, Opaline works to prove she can be a good enough omega for this prestigious, sought-after pack of dream alphas.
Calder, with his pack lead energy and the power to match his huge stature, is waiting to worship his dream come his omega.
Sage, the charming and playful alpha that puts everyone around him at ease, falls fast and hard for his sweet mate, bringing out a side of Opaline she lost long ago.
But not everything can be perfect.
Adrian hates omegas after a life-altering event leaves him pushing them away, permanently. In a chaotic first encounter, he refuses to accept their status as scent matches, leaving Opaline distraught.
And Everette, the mysterious alpha, is away on a silent retreat, unreachable. With a frantic anxiety, he returns unexpectedly… Only to scent his mate on his pack lead, feral and determined to find her.
Honestly, I thought it was a good story personally I also kind of think it fucking sucks that the author left the story in a cliffhanger like that. But anyways, I don’t know I personally don’t like the whole jealousy thing, they are jealous of each other and I also don’t like the whole referring to my omega as my omega not ours omega because technically she’s mate to all four. And top it all off her little preview of the second book was not what I wanted or expected. I don’t know I feel like she’s trying to pin them against each other. They are a pack so they should be sticking together not against each other. They are also jealous of each other sometimes and wanna fight each other like shouldn’t you guys wanna be together and make her happy together. She also seems to be kept a secret or maybe it just made her feel like she’s being kept a secret. They be sneaking around doing things and I just feel like they should not have to hide. They’re so proud of her and they care so much about her so they should be open about their relationship. I do plan to continue the series because it’s a trilogy so I would like to finish the trilogy.
I devoured part one! I'm not sure what Maren put between the pages of Knot Just a Wish but I was absolutely sᴀᴛ!
The cozy artwork she has been sharing definitely captures the vibe perfectly - the majority of the story felt like a warm ʰᵘᵍ 🥰
I'm still newer to Omegaverse but am really enjoying the world that Maren gave us to escape to!
Opaline absolutely deserves 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 and Sage & Caulder are definitely going to give it to her. These Alphas are 𝕕𝕠𝕨𝕟 𝕓𝕒𝕕 for their Omega 🩷
2/4 scent matches being amazing right off the bat is splendid. I am TBD on the other two and saving my judgement for book two which cannot arrive soon enough. If you're looking for a cozy Omegaverse with a hint of trauma, then start here!
This was my first read of Maren’s and while I struggled to stay engaged, the writing was well done. The descriptors and figures of speech painted a graphic visual and things were set up quite nicely for the next book. This was a double-edged sword as the narrative was almost in overabundance, to the point things weren’t moving forward. And I was starving for some conversation. Potentially left for Part Two, but I expected some more dialogue to establish and grow the budding relationships. All that to say - the destitute omega in a world of terrifying alphas and being afraid of the wind in the beginning had me on the edge of my seat. A bit of squandered opportunity for more hurt/comfort vibes, but the anticipation that built throughout the entire book nearly came to a head at the end and has me demanding Part Two to know what happens next!
DNF’d at 79%. There were several reasons I couldn’t finish this. The author did too much explaining about the omegaverse traits, even though she gave an explanation in the prologue. The 28-year-old FMC felt like a teenager. I expect a lot of open-door bedroom scenes in this subgenre, but in this book they were so boring that I skimmed past them. The prose was filled with long paragraphs of description and very little dialogue. This appears to be the author’s only book; I hope her writing improves.
A fresh new Omegaverse that’s a 3 part series! I really enjoyed book one Knot just a wish in the Mountain Fir’s Landing! Maren did a great job setting up the story! Opaline is an unbonded omega living at an omega facility until she recently was asked to leave. She did a great job showing past and present without lingering too much on the past. Opaline has been through so much I just want to hug her! In this book we get scent matched mates and I really loved Calder and Sage. They will do anything for their omega and understand she needs time to adjust and find herself again and they are respectful of that! They are very supportive of her and just want to spoke her which she is absolutely not use to. I can’t wait for her to meet one of the other alphas- Everette I just know he’s going to be exactly what she needs! Adrian… my broken, grief stricken alpha who comes off as a huge ahole. Some people would probably not like him after reading book one but I see more and feel like he’s going to have a huge character arc in the coming books! Learning his backstory, I can only feel for him. I have a feeling Opaline and him will help heal each other if he will let her in. Right now he’s just lashing out. The chemistry between Calder, Opaline and Sage was 🔥🔥 There is instalust along with heat spikes after meting her true mates. I felt the plot flowed well and set up what’s to come next. I cannot wait for books 2&3!! If you enjoyed spicy, cosy Omegaverse reads then add this one to your list! 4.5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Okay, so lemme start off by saying that, as a binge reader and hater of not knowing ALL THE THINGS, I did not plan on starting this series until all 3 books were out. But then Maren put up her ARC interest form for book two. And I am weak of spirit.
Did I scream NOO!!! In my car on my lunch break when it ended? Absolutely. Do I regret starting this series unfinished? Not one bit.
Maren's dedication touches on her own struggles, and there were so many moments in this book that her authenticity in tiny details blew me away. Particularly the fears and anxieties that come from not having housing or not having money. There are plenty of incredible books that talk about this subject, but there's something electric about seeing those real moments run through a main character's mind, too.
I am a lover of hurt/comfort and this book has that in spades. We have a traumatized near feral pack mate that rejects our Omega, we have two doting alphas that fight going primal for their fated mate constantly, and the swooniest little moments. Also, the spice felt really well paced and authentic to the balance of struggle and Omega magic.
There is still one more pack mate we only briefly meet, and even still, they are each so unique in vibe.
I seriously cannot recommend this book enough. I devoured it in less than 24 hours and will be reporting back when part 2 (and 3!) are released!
The idea of the story is good but this book is overwritten. There is a lot of repetition and 15 words were used when 8 would do. It's not flowery but it is too much. I did not see an editor listed and one is definitely need to make the story less rambly and more cohesive. The actual line to line formatting was incorrect. Paragraph breaks were needed before and after what little dialogue there was. The most on page conversation happens between characters that are not love interests (pack member to member or family). How are they supposed to fall in love if they don't talk to each other?
It also felt like scenes were missing. For example, the alphas invite her to dinner and then buy her a phone to give her at said dinner. We do not see the dinner - which would be their first group date - nor we see them give her the phone. Opaline, the omega, doesn't have any type of on page conversation with either alpha about what her life was like before she met them. They only know because they were told by the alpha that found her.
There is so much information that needs to be discussed that just wasn't. Lots of things are told and not shown. The interiority is overwhelming and not at all balanced with action and dialogue.
I kind of care about these characters so I may read book 2, but it's not a high priority.
Knot Just a Wish Part 1 was such a great setup for what I'm sure is going to be an incredible series!
Poor Opaline. This girl has been through so much, and honestly, I spent most of the book wanting someone to wrap her up in a blanket, feed her snacks, and tell her everything was going to be okay. She deserves all the comfort, all the love, and all the coddling.
And then there's the grumpy Alpha.
Listen, I am an absolute sucker for the grumpy, emotionally unavailable Alpha who seems like a jerk at first... only for us to discover he's actually drowning in grief and heartbreak. That trope gets me every single time, and this book delivered it perfectly.
The emotional tension, the mystery surrounding the pack dynamics, and the hints of what's still to come had me completely invested from start to finish. Every chapter felt like it was building toward something bigger, and I loved uncovering little pieces along the way.
And THAT ending.
I know cliffhangers aren't for everyone, but honestly? I loved it. It left me desperate for more while still feeling like the story had moved forward in a meaningful way.
Also... this new MMC we're being introduced to?
I need answers. I need details. I need book two immediately.
Thankfully, I don't have to wait because I'll be diving into Part 2 tonight!
I am so obsessed with this series right now. I can’t say it enough I love an instant scent match and this book delivers.
These alphas? Completely unhinged in the best way. They take one look at Opaline and immediately decide she’s their entire world and will give her anything. Honestly, she deserves that level of devotion after everything she’s been through.
And Opaline… my girl is a survivor. She’s been through absolute trauma and managed to survive. I’m so happy she found these men, even if one of them seriously needs to get their act together 🙄
And that ending? Rude. I need book two yesterday. I’m fully strapped in for the rest of this series and cannot wait to see where it goes.
I really enjoyed this Omegaverse book. It was really well written and quite the story. Opaline was one heck of a FMC, and her history makes me want a HEA for her so badly. The author did a good job giving us an explanation for her current circumstances without spending most of the book living in the past, which I appreciated as a reader.
I want this pack to work out for her so much! Calder and Sage are absolute perfection. I am a huge fan of scent matches and I loved how this author handled it in this story. Their dynamic is beautiful and I absolutely love them all together. I knew this was an unfinished trilogy when I started reading, so now I am anxiously awaiting the next book to see how Opaline’s story plays out.
I’m struggling with this one because we have one alpha. We don’t meet until the very end and then it ends on a cliffhanger… We have one alpha that I’m not even sure how I feel about him. We have these hurt comfort vibes that never quite come together. It’s not bad but it feels like there are scenes missing. Not only that, but I don’t understand the excessive jealousy when they’re meant to be a pack. So there isn’t actually a reason to be jealous. I don’t know it’s not 100% working for me but at the same time I’m also frustrated because I can’t seem to find the second book at all, and it is definitely a cliffhanger of an ending.
This was so cute! Literally each of the characters has a piece of my heart, but Opaline?! What a greatly written FMC… the iniaght an introspective monologue the author writes is so full of depth and gives all the feels. The setting was unique and pulls you in, too. The writing overall was incredible (some authors you immediately mesh with and Maren is one of those for me) I really liked this book, probably more than I was expecting from a random tiktok lol. Wish the trilogy was all released, but itll be worth the wait!!! 5/5 overall - spice 4/5 - plot/story 4.7/5
What happens when an omega is kicked out of an omega care facility. She finds herself on the street trying to survive.
Unknown to her the hiding place she had chosen will lead her to her mates. After being rescued by 2 of her pack Opaline wants to get herself settled and not go too fast. But what she doesn’t know is her other 2 pack members one who doesn’t want an omega and one away on a retreat.
I loved the dynamic of Calder and Sage with Opaline. I cannot wait for Adrian to get his act together and for her to meet the 4th member Everette.
I was anticipating this series when this author came up on my fyp on TikTok, and it was even better than I hoped! I love the emotional depth she gives Opaline, and the dynamics of the pack kept me wanting more. I want Book 2!!!
Part One was written so well. The FMC spends a lot of time with 2/4 love interests. She goes from a terrible situation to meeting someone lovely who helps her and then ultimately meets her scent matches. Excited to see what happens in part 2!
Book 1 is interesting but it’s been slow running. i am curious to see how it all comes together and will read book 2. I also wish the resort existed because I would go in a heartbeat.
I loved this so much, it had everything I wanted and more, i was in the mood for some comfort and god that's exactly what I got, I very rarely give 5 stars but I have no idea what could have made it better so 5 stars it gets
This is a very sweet and cozy omegaverse and I loved it! I cannot wait for book 2 and 3! I typically wait for a whole trilogy or series to be finished before reading but I was unaware this was not a standalone before reading and now I cannot wait for book 2 to see it all progress.
I was enjoying the story until the same old jealousy plot every other book has already used started showing. I just was hoping for something better and different.
First when I started this book I had no idea this was a trilogy. The beginning of this was a little slow but once Opaline was “found” it picked up some. I was intrigued by the storyline and characters. I love the omegaverse vibes but I did feel a little off about the connections. Like they were a little rushed and the fact that not all characters were present was a little weird. But I did enjoy the story and will continue on.
Writing this after finishing both books one and two. (book three not out yet) This series is INCREDIBLE. I liked book one but book two blew this one out of the water! Characters are well thought out and well rounded, the storyline is unique and keeps you entertained, the writing style of the author is magical. I wish this were a real damn place because I want to go to the hot springs so bad now!! lol. I will say though--keep in mind book ONE is shorter and sets up book two (and probably three, I assume). Book two is muchhh longer.
In this one, our sweet omega finds herself in a scary situation, basically aging out of omega care. (A place where they match omegas to wealthy packs) and living on the streets. She gets discovered by a big giant alpha that tries to help her. Turns out, his connection are her scent matches. They take her to their hot springs resort in a small mountain town and basically do their best to dote on her while respecting her need for space (she wants to prove herself worthy while also feeling more like herself after everything she went through). Only two (of four) of the pack's alphas are in this one though. One is away on a trip and the fourth is caught up in his own trauma (I havev a soft spot for Adrian).
The author doesn't spend too much time on the 'backstory' of how Opaline gets to her current situation either, which is perfect. It's just the right amount of insight/story to be invested.
Very cute, sweet, low angst but emotional, high-character-focus, omegaverse. oh, also there is no shifting!!! Some omegaverse have wolf shifters and some don't. This one does not, if that's your thing, you won't find it here.
