I Will Be Your Echo

Growing up among seaside wealth wasn’t easy for Manny and Ronnie Briar. In a world polished to perfection, the twins found the only genuine things they could count on were each other and their best friend Delilah. Their childhood was filled with salt air, dockside sunsets, and rain-soaked laughter, but nothing stays simple forever. The trio steps into the complications of love, loss, and the responsibility of getting older, yet no matter how far life carries them, tragedy and tenderness keep pulling them back to one another. The scent of the ocean and the warmth of old companionship linger in their dreams, echoing through every breath.

Twins Manny and Robbie are from a successful family where appearances are everything, and things are expected to be perfect. The brothers have their best friend Delilah to hang out with. The three of them are best friends. Always together. How will they fare when they drift apart?

A nice book about lasting friendships and the pressures of family.

I received a copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

@juliajewellauthor does it again. I am not one for emotional reads but when Julia says she’s wrote another book, I jump at it regardless of my usual avoidances and I dive in.

When I tell you I was crying and screaming and holding my breath through this book I am not exaggerating. Poor Julia had me messaging her on repeat because I needed to vent to someone as I went through this rollercoaster. She was there to hold my hand as she ripped my heart out and gave me trust issues.

This book is about three childhood best friends learning to navigate their lives and try to do their best. Life happens though and it sends them all down different paths for one reason or another other until a terrible situation happens. Then suddenly everyone is back in town and the strings of the past start to unravel and show a different side of things that could change the future forever.

If you need a bit of a love triangle with a bit of a mystery, and moments that have you on the edge of your seat that are so intense you cannot put this book down, please give it a read. It’s on Kindle Unlimited right now. And once you read it please feel free to vent to me because I was staring at a wall once it was all said and done and still think about it to this day.

Thank you for writing and publishing this book Julia. It truly was amazing and I know so much heart went into this book just like every book you’ve written. It’s another 5/5 and I’ll be adding it to my ever growing collection of your books ❤️

Some stories don’t announce when they’re about to break you — they just quietly do.

This book follows Manny, Ronnie, and Delilah from childhood into the complicated mess of adulthood, and what struck me most was how real their bond felt. The Briar twins are identical in appearance but completely different at heart. Manny is hopeful, charming, the one people choose without thinking twice. Ronnie exists slightly off-center from the world — observant, sensitive, and deeply misunderstood.

Delilah knows them both in ways no one else does. She loves Manny with warmth and certainty, but Ronnie lingers in the spaces between her thoughts — quiet, intense, impossible to ignore. Their dynamic is tender and painful, especially knowing that love doesn’t always arrive neatly or fairly. Then there are parts of Piper and Phil too.

The middle of the book genuinely broke me. Manny’s heartbreak felt unbearable, and Delilah’s choices carried so much weight that I had to pause more than once. I cried, I sat in silence, and I questioned how the story could possibly move forward.

Then came the twist — unexpected, relieving, and emotionally grounding in a way I didn’t know I needed.

This book is about love in all its forms: chosen, complicated, silent, and devastating. It’s about being seen, being overlooked, and carrying grief alongside affection. A beautifully written, emotionally heavy story that stays with you long after the final page.

the book starts two twin brothers and a girls friendship, the confusion who will the girl choose never goes, then comes what happened stage, latter when she realized who's who and her love explodes but at the same time its still a story of responsibility, and welfare
