IT’S SUMMER IN the city for Madison, Park, and Lexington Hamilton. Only, these triplet heiresses have more on their plate than hot-tubbing and the Hamptons. The Royal Crown Society of America is one of the most exclusive private clubs in the country and the triplets have secured membership.
Even more exciting is that pop-art It girl Tallulah Kayson will unveil her newest masterpiece at their very own inaugural luncheon. But when they run into Tallulah’s mysterious boyfriend, Elijah Traymore, hitting on their friend Coco McCaid, something doesn’t feel right. And when Elijah plunges to his death from the hotel penthouse, that feeling is confirmed.
Elijah was pushed, and judging from the limited edition pink cell phone found at the scene of the crime, Coco McCaid needs a very good lawyer.
I needed something super dumb and this thrift store find sure was it. Three improbably named triplets (Madison, Lexington, and Park 🙄) solve a crime all while being famous for being famous and fabulous. It was fun. But it was also undoubtedly bad. This was the third in a series and I didn't read any of the others, but I really didn't feel like I had to.
Madison, Park and Lex are back for another crime fighting summer, this time they have been given membership to one of the most elite clubs: 'The Royal Crown Society of America'. They are also so excited to meet the latest abstract artist and 'It Girl' Tallulah Kayson as she will be unveiling her newest masterpiece at a ceremony hosted by the triplets.
But when pop-artist Tallulah boyfriend, Elijah, falls from the hotel penthouse, suspicion surrounding his death begins to circulate after Coco McCaid's pink cell phone is found at the scene in this suspenseful mystery involving the Hamilton heiresses and their high-powered associates.
Full of snobbery, cattiness, sexual encounters, and underage drinking, this book tries very hard to be like von Ziegesar's "Gossip Girl" series but it has none of the wit and knowing sarcasm that make those books so entertaining. The mystery starts off well for these wannabe Nancy Drews but it is so drawn out that, by the end, readers will lose interest in whodunit and why.
Because the story is written in alternating chapters about different characters, readers don't get to know the stereotypical sisters, their boyfriends, and their employees, but since they are all so unlikable and smug, no one is likely to care.
I hated the fact that I had disliked the first book because it had inappropriate content which made me feel uncomfortable reading it but this one was waaay better, even the whole story was better!
I think the killer for this one wasn't as hard to figure out compared to like the first book, where the killer had been someone I hadn't even suspected in the first place.
It was kinda obvious Theo doesn't deserve to be with Madison cause obviously he'd have a huge relationship problem, not including the fact that their families are enemies. And the way it turned out that the assistant of that fake artist Tellula (forgot her name) is pregnant from Elijah is kinda also not too far fetched but I give the author credit for making it more interesting that way, because the reader might have though Elijah was killed because of the fact that girl got pregnant, but that sets the reader off to wait to the actual reason he got killed.
Overall this was another awesome book that I enjoyed reading. Also added to my collection of absolutely favourite chapter books.
I'll be waiting to see if Antonio Pagliarulo will release any more books, either overall or in this series, because let me tell you - I so got hocked....!

This is another in the Celebutantes series where famous rich triplets solve mysteries. It was okay, although I had the killer figured out long before the end of the book. I didn't think it was as good as the first one.
