Marissa My father is the President of the Santos MC. My best friend is the VP. The guy I like is the Sargent in Arms. I don't want to be a part of this lifestyle, but it sure wants me.
Creeper I met Marissa ten years ago, and I've wanted her ever since. Her own father can't even keep her safe. Will I be able to?
B. Ortiz has done it again!! This one has all hits the spot with the MC dark romance trope but also gives you that intense slow burn chemistry that we all love between the main characters. Marissa is sassy and takes no shit which I absolutely love about her because, let’s be real, in the world that she lives in she has to be this way. She doesn’t give in quickly to Creeper’s advances even though deep down you know she wants to, but she knows it’ll show a vulnerability and that’s one thing she cannot afford. Creeper on the other hand is not shy about what he feels for Marissa. He’s wanted her since he met her and will stop at nothing to prove that he has her best interest at heart. Even more than her own father. The connection between these two is electric and charged with all the passion so when Marissa finally gives in and lets him have his way with her, OMG, let’s just say I felt like I needed to give them some privacy. Like I was peeping in through a crack in their bedroom door LOL. Their world comes to a screeching halt when her father does the unthinkable, to us anyways, and betrays her. In classic B. Ortiz fashion, you will be screaming at the characters while reading this book, I know I sure was. Like WTF are you doing?! Why would you do that? Go after her!!! Man how I wish I could jump into her brain and find out what happens next!!
This was the perfect short dark romance story. A sneak peek into the life of this motorcycle club where even your own father can betray you. Marissa finally gives into her feelings for Xavier. It seems like it was at the perfect time. Being in the lifestyle put her life in danger. He would have done anything to keep her safe, and in the end her did just that. I also loved the banter between the characters.

This was a quick hit of MC drama and I devoured it in one sitting. 🔥 Short, dirty, and packed with MC chaos. 🔥 Marissa may want out of the biker life, but Creeper has wanted her for ten years—and he’s not backing down. The tension is hot, the possessiveness is real, and the chemistry? Off the charts. Loaded with MC chaos, betrayal at every turn, and a family willing to trade her away like property. The tension is razor-sharp, the banter is addictive. Dark, dramatic, and deliciously spicy from start to finish. 🖤🔥
Holy shit! What a ride! Please tell me there are 10 more like this. This story was so damn good. Creeper and Marissa are a rough loving couple. We have Creeper, the unhinged, touch her and die biker. We have Marissa, you touch him and I beat your ass heroine. She is mouthy and my kind of girl. Ms. Ortiz, you have done it again 🖤
This short story is good. I like MC books so this was the perfect quick read for me. Marissa didn't want to get involved with Creeper because of the lifestyle because it's dangerous. Creeper will have to try to keep her safe though. If you're looking for a quick, spicy MC read this is a good one! It has a great story and is well written.
From the very first page, this book had me in a chokehold. Marissa—daughter of the president of The Santos—is fierce, sassy, and unapologetically independent. And then there’s Creeper… deliciously dangerous, relentlessly protective, and utterly consumed by her. He sees only Marissa. Cross her? Good luck surviving that choice. I loved everything about them. Once again, B.R. Ortiz did not miss. I devoured this story in one breathless binge. It’s drenched in dark romance, twisted loyalty, betrayal, and heat that burns slow and savage. Your words pull us straight into the shadows, wrap tight, and refuse to let go—leaving us desperate for more and wishing we were right there in the chaos. 🖤🔥
Marissa is the daughter of Emilio, president of The Santos MC. Raised in gasoline, grit, and trouble. The crew is loyal in the ‘bury-the-body-without-speaking-‘ kind of way. Creeper aka Xavier isn’t just in love with Marissa–he’s obsessed. When they finally collide, the fallout is beautiful. And brutal.
Ortiz crafts characters that claw at you long after you’re done reading. Marissa is fiery: sharp tounge, quick wit, and zero intention of being handeled. Creeper is devotion weaponized. His vibe: touch her and bleed for it.
At just 88 pages, the story doesn’t waste time. It hits you with dark romance, betrayal, violence, and just the perfect amount of smu— Let’s not pretend. It’s spice, and it slaps.
If you want a fast, dark fix that leaves its mark, I recommend this one. Ortiz knows what she’s doing in this genre, and can’t wait to see what she does next.
I truly enjoyed this book. It’s a gritty yet surprisingly sweet motorcycle club romance that explores loyalty, love, and the consequences of growing up in a dangerous lifestyle. Marissa was raised in the MC world by her father, the club’s president, and that environment shaped her morals and the difficult choices she’s forced to make. The story does a good job showing the internal struggle between loyalty to the club and wanting a safer, more peaceful life. The romance develops naturally within that tension, and the emotional stakes feel real. While the ending felt a bit abrupt for my taste, it still delivered a satisfying resolution and left me wanting more from this world and these characters. If you’re a Sons of Anarchy fan or enjoy dark MC romances with heart, this story is definitely worth reading.
This has a Mayan MC TV series vibe (which I loved) so I will be getting the 2nd book soon as it's out!
Marissa is headstrong, quick witted, feisty, and independent. Her father is the president of the Santos MC and she wants nothing to do with it. Creeper is the sexy bad boy biker who has wanted Marissa for 10 years. He's nothing if not persistent and protective. Especially when it comes to her. The heat between those two is deliciously spicy ❤️🔥
I needed a quick short read for my book challenge, and went into this one blind. Well not completely, because I saw that it was an MC dark romance... And I LOVE a good MC story. Let my tell you, this didn't disappoint 🥵
This is the 3rd book I have read from this author and again was not disappointed. This authors writing style is easy to follow and never diverges from the ploy of the story. This book had the right amount of spiciness without going into real detail. The love story between the two main characters Creeper and Marissa was a nice touch. Marissa who is a very strong independent woman ends up falling in love with the Santos biker guy, named Creeper (biker club given name). He goes to all lengths to keep her safe after her dad sells her off to a rival gang as a pay off from a gambling debt. Creeper is voted out of the biker group Santos and is able to live a peaceful life with Marissa in Colorado and a second vacation home in Belize.
Santos delivers a quick hit of dark MC romance with plenty of edge. Creeper is intense, possessive, and unapologetically rough around the edges, while the chemistry crackles from the start. The pacing keeps things moving, making it an easy, one-sitting read that doesn’t overstay its welcome. While I wished for a bit more depth in the characters and world, the story still packs enough heat, danger, and emotion to satisfy. Perfect for readers craving a short, dark romance with biker grit and a dominant hero.
From start to finish, this book had me hooked. It’s fast-paced, intense and impossible to put down.
Creeper is that kind of man who will burn the world if you touch what’s his. He’s protective, dangerous, and fully devoted. Marissa is strong, sassy and knows how to stand her ground.
The banter pulls you in, the passion is rel, and yes the spice is on point. The story never lets up and delivers exactly what I want in a dark MC Romance.
This is perfect for someone who wants to dive into MC romance. It’s short and offers a glimpse into the world of a motorcycle club, though it only lightly touches on that lifestyle. The story focuses more on the relationship between the FMC and MMC.
The FMC, Marissa, grew up around club life since her father is the club’s president. There are a few spicy scenes woven into the story. The MMC, Creeper, is possessive and unapologetic about going after what he wants.
🖤 Vibe: Short, unapologetically dark, Motorcycle club with all the dark stereotypes.
🔥 Chemistry: Immediate and intense. She wants to fight her attraction to him but fails, he's been pining over her for 10 years. Now that he gets his shot he's not gunna miss or let her go.
😈 MMC Energy: Possessive, unhinged, and somehow still magnetic. Badass MC treasurer with a knack for murder.
⚠️ Spice Level: High spice for the low page count. Check your triggers!!!
🎯 Final Take: Quick read, with lots of spice! Perfect if you want dark and dangerous in one sitting.
It had been a good while since I have read a motorcycle club romance and this one did not disappoint one bit. I loved how it had the intense slow burn between the main characters even if it had me yelling at them on the other end of my kindle. I would have ended up devouring this book the second I picked it up if it wasn't for responsibilities but I did end up being hooked from the first page and found it impossible to put down. this was an intense read and fast paced but still enjoyable. this story delivered and was exactly what I needed to read to get back into MC romances.
