John Grape, still living the glory of his one great novel, loses his wife and money and takes a zany, perverse, and pleasure-seeking ride that lands him happily right back where he started
The final fifty pages brought the book’s premise to the forefront. Up until that point, I wasn’t all that sure I knew what I was reading. I did enjoy the relatively short chapters, and I eventually picked up on the comedic undertones - but it’s always difficult to interpret humor in the written medium.
This is the author that wrote the novel that the movie Let It Ride with Richard Dreyfus was based on. He books are funny and creative. This is novel is about a guy who gets divorced, his wife takes everything, and he tries to win her back without her know it is him. I'm not explaining it very well, but it's a funny book.
