★★★★! Eden I, part 1 of 3. Sparks fly in the smut department when lap dancer meets gangster, but both have pasts!

Books in The Eden Trilogy should be read in order:
Book 1: Eden I

Story then picks up with Lily auditioning for a job at Club Eden, an exclusive gentleman’s club. After locking eyes with its owner the infamous businessmen and alleged gangsters Jake Eden she lands the job with no experience.

From a large gypsy family the tall, dark and very handsome Jake Eden comes with a cock tattoo. Forced to take over the family empire at age fifteen there is more to Jake to unfold with story.

Eight words to describe Jake: Commanding, private, broken, flawed, protective, possessive, elusive and charismatic.

Seven words to describe Lily Hart, Jewel: Resourceful, broken, secretive, naïve, innocent, impressionable and desperate.

Eden I, told from dual POV, is an enticing opening promising sex, romance, intrigue, vengeance and suspense with hints of darkness,, violence and deceit. It ends with a shocking revelation leading right to part 2,
Eden II for the continuation of their story.

Very memorable hero! Scorching sex scenes! Excellent storytelling! Suspenseful and mysterious plot!

description

“We gypsies believe in faeries and faerie glamour. Humans are easy prey. Once they cast their glamour on a human he becomes bewitched. He never sees what is right in front of him. He wanders the world dazed in a tangle of lust. Like a junkie.’ He traces my jaw with his thumb. ‘You look like one. Your eyes. Are you faerie, Lily?”

Lily is a little lost and feels haunted by memories of her brother’s death, even if she lost him some time ago. She is a stripper and she’s about to audition for a job at Club Eden, an exclusive gentleman’s club. From the moment she lays eyes on the owner, Jack Eden, she feels a strong attraction. She doesn’t understand it since they are so different, but she can tell Jack is drawn to her as well.

description

“With her it is different. I don’t want to have sly sex with her. I want to mate with her. I want to wrestle her to the ground and take her with relentless force, so hard that she retaliates with claws ripping into my back.”

She knows what kind of man he is and she knows his reputation.
Jack Eden is a British Gipsy. He was practically forced into this ‘business’ since he was 15 years old when he had to pay his family’s debts. He’s a manwhore and he’s used to get what he wants. And he wants Lily no matter what. They both in some way try to stay away from each other, but the attraction is too strong to deny it. Their relationship starts as casual, but soon both want more. They start spending some time together getting to know each other better and Jack is there for Lily when she finds herself in a dangerous situation. Jack starts to care for Lily more and more, so he wants for her to stay away from his club and any club. He’s possessive and jealous and he doesn’t want any man looking at what is his.

“I want her to belong to me. And only me.”

I liked this first installment in the series even if in my opinion it was very rushed. I think this is my main complain about it. The plot is mysterious and intriguing and overall it was good, but I really wish the story was longer.

I liked both Lily and Jack and for a short read they were well developed. Lily is determined, innocent and she has a secret, a secret that maybe will destroy Jack. We shall see...Jack is charismatic and commanding, powerful and arrogant and caring and protective with Lily. I really liked the way he cares for her. The sex scenes were scorching hot and intense and I enjoyed all their sweet moments together. The writing as always as fantastic and engaging. This first installment ends with a big revelation and I must admit I didn’t see it coming.

Overall, a great read!

Wow ... the end left me speechless!!!

First of all thank you Georgia for mentioning me in your Acknowledgements, I feel honored...love your writing so much and I will be always supporting your works. ♡

I really loved Eden, the storyplot was very interesting, a lot of mystery and suspense and the hottest sex. The hero is to die for and the heroine was intriguing...a real puzzle. The writing was awesome!

I'm in love with Jack Eden.
Jack is a very beautiful sexy rich guy late twenties, gypsy, green eyes, black hair, very tall. He owns the very exclusive and posh strip club Eden and other businesses, legal and illegal. He's a gangster, but has a very shiny and posh facade life, throwing parties for the richest people of UK and movie stars. I loved his gypsy spirit.

Lily Hart (Jewel) is a stripper. Very beautiful, brown hair , slanted blue eyes, porcelain skin. She seems a very innocent good girl but very "particular". The prolog opens with a terrible event in her life and that event has affected her deeply but we don't learn much about her in this book till the ending where something shocking about her was revealed. She's the mystery of the book.

The story begins with Lily and a group of other strippers going to club Eden with the hope to get employed. There she met eyes with the owner Jack Eden and they had a strong immediate attraction. Even though her performance didn't go well with the intervention of Jack she gets the job. So Lily begins her new job and in the meantime the sexual attraction with Jack will become something more and both will fall in love.

The book has some amazing scorching hot sex scenes!

And when everything seems perfect something shocking about Lily is revealed to the readers.

That revelation left a sour taste in my mouth because it will be devastating for the hero in many ways....and my romantic brain was already organizing their marriage and imagining their babies lol

I feel so bad for him, he loves her so much, it will kill him. He's a great guy beside all the illegal businesses, he's very sensitive, respectful and goodhearted. And doing illegal businesses wasn't his choice, he was born into it and was obliged to stay in that world.

Lily disappointed me...but I know that in the next books of the series she will remedy that and I'm curious to know how, like I'm curious also about her story.

So looking forward for book 2...that is coming this month!

I totally recommend it!!

If a book could smoke crack, this would be the result.

Prologue

"But his eyelids are glued shut. They will not budge. Tremors shoot through my hand as I still the gruesome desire to force his eyelid open. When we were young we used to lick the salt from each other's skin. I am suddenly filled with the strange desire to lick his skin. I put one hand under his head and the other under his neck and I put his head on the floor. Then I scoot backwards until I am on my hands and knees and my face is hovering inches away from his. My head moves downwards. My tongue comes out. Inches away a voice in my head urgently cries, 'No.'

Does she lick the corpse? Yep.

Uhm, did I mention this is 2% as we are meeting the FMC finding her DEAD BROTHER?

Hands down... Weirdest mfing prologue I've ever read in my life.

Chapter One

Welcome to the Eden Strip Club.

She's a new stripper and going to be known as "the girl with the flower." Yea, no words for that.

There's page upon page of details about how her new stripper job works and how everyone and everything looks.

Other than knowing that at some point this chick is going to lick her dead bro, I DONT KNOW HER. Who are you? Wtf are you doing at a strop club? Why are you creaming your panties over Jake Eden... & why is that a "bad thing?" Why did he hire you even though you fell flat of your ass during your audition? Why are you suddenly on his brother's jock. Why the hell is anyone talking about marriage when no one has said more than 10 sentences to each other? No, I'd settle for just knowing who the hell you are?!?

Chapter 3

Jake Eden

He is God and can have any woman he wants, or at least so we're told.

He see's stripper girl for the second time and has this to say:

With her it is different. I don't want to have sly sex with her. I want to mate with her. I want to wrestle her to the ground and take her with relentless force, so hard that she retaliated with claws ripping into my back. I want to force open her thighs and take her whether she wants it or not.

Alrighty then... Have I mentioned this is the second time he's laid eyes on her from across a room and hasn't even spoken to her yet?

This dude starts thinking some crazy ass shit, like she looks translucent, full of secrets and fire, & safe like she's locked in an ivory tower while waiting for her prince to rescue her. Dude, again, YOU HAVENT EVEN TALKED TO HER YET.

Babam... Straight from ^^^ to the entrance of Shane Eden, Jake's brother, asking stripper girl:

"Wanna go to a party?"

No intro. No lead in. He just suddenly appears and asks her out of the blue to a party. Huh?

Cue a shopping trip for an expensive dress, and this random thought ABOUT A GUY SHE HASNT EVEN MET YET:

I am not going to the party to be with Shane, but Jake. Even though he is a dangerous criminal and a sexual predator, he is the one for me.

Shane arrives.

Him: "Wow."

Her: chocolates for me? "Thank you."

Her: "You look rather dashing yourself."

Him: "I bet you say that to all the boys."

To that alone, this chick thinks:

Suddenly it is as if I have known him for years. I know he's going to be my ally. A friend I can count on.

They arrive at party and Jake is fingering her in the bathroom a few pages later as he tells her she isn't marriage material for his brother.

? What. The. Fuck. Are. You. Even. Talking. About. ?

Is this a hidden camera television show? Seriously? Someone must be playing a prank on me because no one could possibly sit down and think this shit made a lick of sense?!?!

What The Fuck Ever

This shit is entirely too bipolar and jumpy. It's weird. It makes no sense. It's technically poorly written. There's zero character development.

It's what would happen if you sit 20 people in separate rooms and ask them to write one paragraph, and then stringed that shit together to call it a chapter.

Horrible!

Download a sample.

#1 Eden I - ★★★★
#2 Eden II - TBR

Reading books by Georgia Le Carre is one of my guilty pleasures. I knew that getting into the Crystal Jake / Eden Trilogy would be a wonderful experience, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Still troubled by her brother’s death, Lily is searching for answers. So she enbarks in a career that introduces her to a dangerous underworld. Surrounded by lust, greed, wealth and handsome and powerful men – one man in particular swipes her off her feet.

Jake Eden has everything; money, power, all the women he can ask for… He never needed love. Love is for the weak. Until one woman with the stage name of “Jewel” arrives and grabs his attention…

For the short book that it is, Eden I is packed with steamy action and fast-paced and interesting plotline. I read it in one sitting and devoured it. There is that unsettling presence of lust in the room on every single page. You can feel the tension between Lucy and Jake, and even as a reader, it can get a bit steamy in the room and you might need to open up a window. Aside from the lust though, there is also a romantic aspect of it – which gives a good balance to the book.

I think that this is a great start of the Crystal Jake / Eden Trilogy series, especially after the very unexpected twist at the end of the book. Trust me, that twist will make you want to pick up the second book instantly.

I loved Lily as a character, and was very interested in the story. And I also enjoyed getting to know Jake as well. Slowly getting to know the real person behind his “big strong man with no feelings” attitude.

Honestly, I am very much looking forward to the second book in the series and definitely recommend this one to add to your collection of steamy stories.

Damn! I absolutely loved it. I was intrigued from the beginning. Strong characters, hot hero, steamy love scenes, darkness overload, great chemistry and pace, mystery all over, lots of intrigues … Simply READ THIS BOOK asap!

I sense her slipping away, drifting into dreamscapes where I will not be. I pull her closer toward me. When she is awake there is always a part of her that remains aloof and watching. She is like a forest. Deep and dark. You can lie or howl in it.

This is book 1 in the Eden trilogy and these are going to be short books I'm presuming since this one was.I don't usually pick up books with under 200 pages give or take. But I was given an arc by the wonderful author and since I loved the other book I read by her called Disfigured Love, I thought I would give it a shot.

Gangster meets pole dancer.. a book filled with romance, chemistry, mystery, deceit and much more..

I liked this one, I just need more..more pages!! It felt a little rushed. And I'm confused with the ending, it's just left me at a part where I don't know whether to hate the female character or not. What is going on?! And now I'm dreading the next book because I don't like it when bad things happen and it looks like that's where things are headed and I'm scared!

I loved Jake's protectiveness and jealousy also that Lily brought out a softer side to him that no one else gets to see. Aww I just wanted to give him a big hug! I'd like to know more about his past and find out if it is connected with Lily's past.

Jake and Lily definitely had chemistry and it was hot, it was insta-lust which turned out to be more. This book is in dual pov and now I will definitely carry on with this series and I still love this author and can't wait to see how things turn out with Jake and Lily. And what happened to Jake's brother? Hope to see more of him and I want to know I NEED TO KNOW! wtf is happening with Lily. What the hell has she got herself into!

If you want a quick steamy read with some mystery this is a book for you!

There were elements to make this book interesting: sexy, mysterious, Alpha, aloof hero; jumbled, dedicated, naive and deceitful heroine; suspense plot; etc. But somehow it was a miss for me.

I felt like I was missing something and with each page I turned I couldn't find it. I failed to connect with the characters, but if I was to pick a favourite, it would be Jake. At least he was real in his character.

I'm going to read the next book just to see what happens when Jake figures Lily out.

This wasn't my cup of tea. I didn't hate it or anything but I felt like the writing and the book in general was all over the place, at least to me. Sometimes, I didn't know who the characters were, or how they got from one place to another without any explanations. Although, I had some trouble to understand what they went through in their pasts. There was an interesting cliffhanger but I don't think I'll read the next book. I'm sure other readers will enjoy it though.

I really liked the premise of this one it’s the story of Lily and Jake. Lily is a girl that has known pain and darkness and Jake is the head of a criminal organisation and of gypsy heritage. When Lily using the stage name Jewel auditions to work at a high-class stripper club the attraction between her and Jake is instantaneous and it’s not long before the two are engaged in an intense relationship.

This introduces the story building a mysterious secretive vibe. It’s obvious from the beginning that Lily has secrets one that directly involve Jake. Jake from the instant he lays eyes on Lily is all in previously a man whore he knows straight away that Lily is different from all the others and sets out to claim her as his own.

So I mostly enjoyed this but I did think the relationship aspect of the story was slightly rushed it went from one to a hundred in record speed. One minute Lily’s telling Jake she doesn’t do one night stands and in the next breathe she’s mentioning love. I just found the transition phase from single to taken a bit swift to be believable especially considering who Jake is and just what’s he got to lose.
But overall yeh this was an easy read that intrigued me and the finish as well was gripping. I’ll be continuing on to see where this goes next.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Georgia Le Carre has a way of weaving words that makes her stories almost like poetry. Even with the setting of this tale, in the world of strip clubs and gangsters, there's a beauty in the way she writes. Jake Eden is an alpha male through and through and he dominates everything around him. He sees, he wants, he takes. And he has Jewel in his sights. This is the beginning of a love story at its heart, between two deeply damaged emotional souls and the ending has a twist I didn't see coming, that left me craving the next instalment. Thank goodness we don't have to wait long. If you haven't read anything by Ms. Le Carre, then jump on the bandwagon and find out what you're missing. Five very worthy stars.

Crystal + Jewel = GOLDMINE!
Jewel a.k.a. Lily Hart - Beautiful. Exotic. Broken. Crystal Jake a.k.a. Jake Eden - Powerful. Reserved. Sexy as hell. I LOVED EDEN!!!! Oh.My.World! There is so much raw, undeniable sexual attraction between these two characters. You're gripped in from the very first page and you're wondering who Lily is. What is her story? What are her secrets? Why does she give in to Jake so easily? There's no resistant from either party as they gravitate towards each other and there is no limit on what Jake will do to keep Lily safe, to posses her. As the many layers to their story peel away, I felt like I was on a race to read to the last page. And I was. I could not put this book down and read it in one sitting. Eden is a definite must read!

Her lure is addictive and undeniable and soon he is hooked.

But when the line between betrayal and loyalty is put to test...

Will love be stronger than revenge?

My Thoughts

Being a devoted Georgia Le Carre fan, i went into this story not reading the summary since i know that blindly i'll love whatever it is that she puts out. This introduction to the trilogy doesn't let me down, and i'll tell you why.

We quickly meet Lily (or Jewel) in the prologue where she's discovered her brother's body - dead and cold from an apparent drug overdose. We are then fast forwarded to where we are in present day - she's in a van going to auditions to be a stripper in a high end upscale club in London. The fact that we're not clued into what has gotten her to this point aside from the fact that she's been trained to do it, well that's makes things even more exciting.

That and the fact that as soon as she steps out of the van at the first club - Eden, she feels the presence of power - that being Jake - the owner and alleged gangster as well. This is where things get HOT. She flubs her audition, yet some how Jake is so drawn to her that he gives her a job anyway, and their paths cross for good.

Throughout the story we know that Lily is haunted by her past, and yet we don't know exactly why. the story that she gives is that she's a runaway- and there are things that support that, yet we don't know what was so bad to make her run. We also see hints and glimpses at there being more to her background yet nothing concrete to go on. She's great at picking up details around her and descriptions of people - like a cop might, but there's nothing to give us that line of thought.

Then there's Jake - he's dark and dangerous - we know that his past is dirty given that his father was murdered and everyone knows that he's been in less than legal businesses. Still - it's something that really leaps off the page in the sense of passion, heat and something that you know you shouldn't get involved in.

Once Lily and Jake decide that they are compelled to follow their chemistry, the story gets hot. The way that Ms. LeCarre writes their scenes is passionate for sure without being dirty. I"m used to getting the 'naughty' bits of BDSM or hard core erotica, but there's something dark here underneath and that's even more intriguing. The other piece is that we're really starting to see the back story on Jake and a deeper character development that makes you want him even more. I know that i do.

So...what happens in the last few pages - well that's something that i was NOT expecting at all and i'm really upset that i don't have book 2 yet. Not only do we know that Jake's mom has had a premonition that's been validated, but we now know that there's something else going on with Lily - even if we don't know what it is. So the question begs to be asked who's going to live who's going to die and how are all the secrets going to come out?

Where do I begin...this reads like a beautifully orchestrated opera, the opening prologue full of darkness with tentative deep notes to draw the audience in. From the first few words I'm hooked and drawn in to a mysterious story of off kilter love. Death is ugly yet beautiful and slightly salty.

"It is the beginning of my descent into unfamiliar territory. A place you might call madness.
I'm afraid my stay was excruciatingly long."

Jake Eden is the boss of a criminal enterprise having worked his way up from the age of 15 to pay off his family's debts, he is a ruthless man. Indoctrinated into the life in a horrific way Jake is a monster, fearless and violent but still that fragile and broken 15 year old inside. Owner of Eden, a high class strip club he is a walking thunderstorm of power and raw emotion. Women flock to him, falling at his feet for just one night with him. His physical attributes enchanced by the sheer enigma that he is.

Jewel/Lily. A stripper. A lost girl. Happy to be your ultimate fantasy for the night as long as you can afford her. Trying to find her way and pay the rent leads her to Eden. After a disastrous audition she somehow lands the job. With her exotic looks and beautiful body she is a perfect addition to the team of girls at Eden. She makes a big impression not only on Jake but his brother Shane too. Finding their relationship easier and more natural she agrees to accompany him on a date, a party at Jake's. Hmmmm...the sparks fly and jealousy rears it's head and forces Jake to reveal how he really feels. Never one to hide from what he really wants he takes mercilessly believing he is saving his brother from heart break but really driven by his own needs. The pace is unrelenting as the sexual tension builds between them. I feared my kindle may melt!

"Gangsters and strippers go together like toast and marmalade."

Jake feels something other than just pure lust for the first time and it sends him over the edge. The need to protect and ensure she is his causes him to meddle in her life. Changing her job and her address. They fall under the spell of one another and believe me the heat these two generate is nuclear. And yet something sinister is lurking...who is Lily? Why did her path steer her to Jake? Who is the girl cloaked underneath Jewel's persona?

Woven into the story of attraction, lust and need is the suspicions of the gypsy culture and the significance of Jake's tattoos are powerful. His mother regrets that her child died at 15 to be born again as a weapon of brutality and responsibility. The mysticism is haunting and adds a further quality to the writing.

"Beware the woman who is wounded, beautiful and ruthless. She has soot and death in her mouth."

And boom my mind exploded with the revelation and twist that I did not see coming! I was blown away. The writing style is flowing and melodic, the tension and drama builds with sinuous undercurrents that weave throughout the story...I loved it. It's breathtakingly different and the emotion is raw. The sexual tension is palatable but it's more than a mummy porn type book. It's clever. It's dark...and I can't wait for the next part. Georgia is wickedly talented. I love your stories, keep them coming.

Five gushingly twisted stars! Yup I'm a sick puppy ;)

I read Eden 1 in two hours,i was captivated by the writing and the story of Jack and Lily. The story plot is full of mystery and once you start reading you will not put it down until last page.Eden is one HOT alpha man and Lily is strong and likeable heroine.

The book start with our heroine Lily/Jewel trying to get job in the strip club owned by the brothers Eden. From the first moment her eyes met with Jack Eden, she know he is the men how will ruin her and put her life on roller-coster.

Jackis rich, gypsy, very sexy, gangster. He is the boss of criminal organisation and the oldest son. From the 15 years old he worked his way up to pay his father debuts. He is ruthless, violent, but he has caring side only Lily can see.He love his family and he will do anything to protect Lily and his family. He such a alpha, possessive dominant man,you will fall in love with him.

Lilyis very beautiful young women who is lost in this world. She is very likeable heroine, strong.I knew it from the start that something is not right with her striping profesion and all the mystery but that twist in end i never see it coming. She put mask of strong women but underneath that she is lost, damaged, shattered women.

“From the moment our eyes clashed, I have been consumed by a kind of madness.”

First off, the very reason that this book has attracted me was because of the tatted cock. I mean, seriously, my mind just went black and everything else doesn’t matter, it’s the only thing that I’ve gotten all in all.

“Deeply tanned, badass black hair, and staring straight at me is the legend himself! Jake Fucking Eden. My heart skips a beat. Fuck me!”

Jake Eden is my main focus here. I mean, hello, he has the one with the amazing package and that tatted cock. And seriously, with his skill in bed and the way he is so intense? Just, BBF material.

“Five feet five inches on top of nearly seven inches of heels, slim hips, flat stomach, nothing special chest, dark chocolate hair with tints if copper and a wider red mouth fixed into a professional dancer’s smile.”

Lily was someone I didn’t expect to like and then totally hate at the end. I mean the eff? Seriously! I don’t know how to react, it’s just that my blood boils to the highest level.

“I cannot comprehend the connection I have with this man. And I simply cannot comprehend the deep way I feel about him.”

Exactly my thoughts. Everything was actually fast and intense and it seems magical. The sex was super-hot, and the emotions just tugs at me. I was sucked and I was in-depth with everything. So many secrets to unravel and the mystery is so intriguing. But, a fair warning. This has a cliffhanger. Usually I hate those, but unexpectedly, I just loved it here because my heart just stopped, literally.

“We gypsies believe in faeries and faerie glamour. Humans are easy prey. Once they cast their glamour on a human he becomes bewitched.”

3.5 Stars

POV: Dual/ His and Her's
Heroine: 3.5
Hero: 4
Steam: 3.5
Plot: 4

Well thank you Georgia Le Carre for giving us one hell of a sexy, gypsy, gangster!

Lily "Jewel", is haunted by memories of her brother’s death, and searching for answers, She embarks on a career that takes her into a seedy underworld, where she is exposed to wealth, greed, lust and the reign of gorgeous, powerful, and dangerous men—one man in particular wreaks havoc on her emotions.

At thirty Jake Eden has everything: looks to die for, money, power and a never-ending line of twisted, fucked-up women willing to do anything to get with him. Love? Love was for pussies…until a woman with the stage name of ‘Jewel’ arrives on the scene. She alone is different from all the others.

This is the first book of the Eden trilogy. It was a quick steamy read with a little bit of a mystery going on. I enjoyed it for the most part. It felt a bit rushed but was still done well enough for me to remain excited for the two books that will complete this story.

Georgia Le Carre is an author of considerable talent which seems to grow even more with every book.

With Eden she gives no back story to her characters, but her writing makes it obvious. Lily has seen heartbreak in her life and has to resort to working in a 'gentleman's' club. Jake has been involved in the illegal underworld of London from the age of fifteen - but it was not, initially, his choice.

Their meeting and subsequent involvement can be no more than a coincidence...or are there other, perhaps more sinister, factors at play.

I pride myself in being able to work out whodunit. Not this time. Ms Le Carre kept this twist well locked up till the very last page.

I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Get writing Georgia, I am not the most patient reader.

First off let me say; EDEN had me at GEORGIA LE CARRE. I'd already read "The Billionaire Banker" series and "Disfigured Love" written by Georgia and they were on my list of top favorites last year. From the very beginning of EDEN it captured my attention and I was practically glued to my seat while reading it. Her descriptions throughout the book only added to the richness of the story but never took away from it. The two main characters Lily and Jake share such an intense passion from the first time they lay eyes on each other that I could feel all the way through the book. Georgia Le Carre is a beautiful writer whose words flow throughout the story. I am so ready for the next book in this series; thankfully I won't have to wait long because it comes out in February. Great job Georgia! So loving this one :)

I finished but there was A LOT of skimming involved. While it may appeal to others, this was not for me. I was quite bored, did not like either characters and did not enjoy the writing style either.
