Overall story is sweet with interesting characters. However, extremely repetitive and way longer than it needed to be. Rival hockey teams are written like they are rival gangs with territories, the FMC apparently lives in a different city but is also just minutes away….this book desperately needs an editor. Skimmed the last 20%.

LOVE the female disability representation! And that they don’t “fix” her hearing! Don’t love the whole “she’s an untouched virgin and all of them have been sleeping their way around” thing.

Not my favourite omegaverse, found myself quite bored through most of it. But it was well written

4.25 stars. This story is quadruple POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, brother’s rival to lovers, contemporary sports omegaverse romance between Bayleigh, the deaf female omega media manager lead, and male alphas, Lincoln, the electrician lead, Milton, the professional ice hockey goalkeeper lead, and Korbin, the professional ice hockey player lead, and her brother’s rival. I empathised with Bayleigh’s fears based on childhood trauma. I adored the way the men all worked to learn ASL so they could communicate effectively with Bayleigh. I enjoyed Bayleigh’s gentleness and her willingness to take a chance on a relationship. I enjoyed Lincoln’s initiative and his persistence. I enjoyed Milton’s playfulness, and his willingness to call out bad behaviour from others, including Korbin. I enjoyed Korbin’s gradual emotional engagement, and his action to resolve the tension with Bayleigh’s brother. I enjoyed the building intimate relationship and the steamy scenes. I enjoyed the settled relationship and the happy ending. I enjoyed the supportive and engaged secondary characters. I enjoyed the setup for the next story and I am genuinely looking forward to it!

I received this as an ARC. This story was so sweet, but with such heartbreaking moments intertwined. Bayleigh was such a strong, yet vulnerable main character. I love how she represented the frustrations with her lack of hearing while also preventing it from hindering her. Her past heartbreak with her scent match was devastating, but this story definitely made up for it. I like how Lincoln got an immediate reality check when he was rude to Bayleigh, and how he made up for it. Milton was such a sweetheart. I love the lightness and humor that he brought to the pack. Korbin had the most complex story, but I loved seeing him gradually heal and grow a fondness for Bayleigh. I was sad that we got to see less of James after she started to bond with her pack, but I’m hopeful that he might be a part of Benton’s story… pretty please. Speaking of Benton, I’m glad he was also to let go of his misplaced anger and be a good brother to Bayleigh. I look forward to the next book in this world.

One of My Most Favourite Sweeter Reads
I saw this and I ate it all up. I never thought this dynamic duo of writing would produce such a sweet read AND I didn’t think they could blow a sweet read out of the park but the DID!!!! OMG I loved this book soooo much.
Bayleigh is strong, resilient and fierce. Her men are protective, strong and swoon worthy! I loved how descriptive and immersive this read was. I felt as though I was a part of their world! Highly recommend this read. The dynamics between the characters and the storyline will keep you glued to the book from the first page until the last.

This was just plain awful. Do not recommend.
Premise was fine, been there, done that before, but cute and has potential.
Execution was a dang mess - Spelling, editing, formatting all felt like a first draft. So repetitive from the internal monologues, to the smex scenes, to the unrealistic insecurities. No plot, no progression in the storyline, no character development except 1 MMC and the bro, no creativity. I swear at one point someone fell asleep mid paragraph and neither author noticed?!? or came back to it? Switching of tenses and povs mid freaking sentence? Pretty sure one of the authors forgot the chick was deaf several times lmao.

This is certainly a 5* read for me! I love the Omega-verse Genre and mix that with Ice Hockey Hunks and you have a winner!

This one was interesting to read. I loved the disability rep in this soooo much. My son was hearing disabled as well and we as a family were learning ASL so that he felt included our worlds and us in his 🩷
The overarching story line about the rivalry between her brother and one of her potential mates was a lot though. It was pretty much the whole focus of the book at some points.
I personally prefer at least one person in the pack being a scent match so that kind of tainted some of the reading experience for me.
Bayleigh was incredibly strong after dealing with all the trauma from her past and the way her disability affected her life and the way people treated her.
I do wish that there was more justice shown towards the POS’s who hurt her in the past though 😏

What an amazing read. This is so emotional. Bayleigh’s fears are warranted. Human being’s can be wonderful creatures, but they can also be cruel to anyone that is slightly different. Bayleigh is lovely. She is true to herself and is such a strong person. Yes, she is overrun by her brother, Benton, but that is only because she knows he cares about her. As soon as she knows it will impact her happiness, she calls him out.
Lincoln, Milton and Korbin are worth fighting for. Lincoln is thoughtful and kind. Milton is caring and is a joker, whilst Korbin broods. Irony is such a funny thing because Benton and Korbin would be close friends if not for their feud.
This is a beautiful read and shows how bravery, true love and believing in something can overcome fear and prejudice.

There are so many problems with this book. Actions repeated (asking for her phone number & getting it twice in the same chapter), sports teams that didn't feel like teams because of weird loyalty from the fans, paparazzi taking photos of rivals' siblings on a date causing a HUGE controversy (lol what?), little relationship building between the fmc and two of the mmcs, and more I'm forgetting. It was just so, so weird. Like, we don't even learn what her career is until almost 40% into the book.
That being said it started well and I think the deaf rep was done well. The caring for the fmc was great and seeing them sweetly fall for each other was lovely.
This is definitely a vibes read.

I felt so much for Bayleigh. Sad for the way she was treated in the past, just because she is def, proud with how resilient she is, she may have insecurities, but who doesn't, she never lets it break her. So happy with her match with Lincoln, Korbin and Benton. Lincoln may have been a jerk when they first met, but he quickly changed his tune and became one of her biggest supporters and tried his best to adjust to her needs. Korbin and Milton were awesome also. All three of them were just so sweet and protective of Bayleigh. Obviously falling for your brothers' biggest rivals didn't make for the smoothest road but Bayleigh, Lincoln, Korbin and Milton eventually get their HEA.

I love a good omegaverse book and this was one. I adored the characters. The FMC is amazing. She's deaf and doesn't let anything hold her back. She's strong and resilient. Her alphas, the MMCs , one sunshine, one grumpy and the golden retriever. All adorable. It had a great plot with character growth. I read it all one shot because it was that good.

Now I am curious about the next book. I liked this story and i liked the inclusion of deaf. I am currently learning dutch sign language and this book sparked my curiosity.

This was such a great read with a great disability rep. I loved all the men eventually and loved everyone together. I liked the relationship building over time and how they wanted her trust. The ending was good

Good, but deviates from series
This is a good story if read as if it’s in a different version of the series as a whole or on its own. The “matchmaker” in other books in the series was actually a PR person who was subtly setting up situations for the players to find their omegas. It wasn’t a formal “choose from our approved list” situation. Also, the coach, while grumpy, is usually a teddy bear in other books who genuinely cares for his players. In this one, he’s portrayed as an abusive alpha-hole. Also, the MMCs and other players were really hateful to one another, and the MMCs thought they were better than the whole team. Again, in other books, the players are all thought to be very talented, just needing to calm and settle.
Because of this - I ended up skimming through a lot of the book. It was like hitting a flat key in the middle of a performance. A discordant note that almost had me DNF’ing several times even at 95%.
If you step the book out of the series, treat it as an alt universe, then yeah, it’s pretty good. It’s nice to see ASL representation. The brother’s behavior was odd. I can’t even put into words how much I loved this book. You know when you read a romance story and it’s just so good that your hopeless romantic heart just does the crazy pitter patters and you just swoon?!? That’s this book for me.
Watching the effort Lincoln put in to be a part of Bayleigh’s world had me melting into a puddle. A man who jumped right in to learn ASL and take classes so he could communicate with her without having a middle person, stop it. 😭 And their date?? I think Lincoln has climbed the MMC ladder and has become one of my most favorite MMC’s ever.
I appreciate the well written emotions so much. From seeing the giddiness Lincoln had for Bay, the pining from Milton, the protectiveness from Korbin. Well done Cassie and Bre. Seriously this is going to be one of those reads I’ll never forget about.

I really enjoyed the fmc is this book!! The pack was ridiculously adorable with her. I absolutely loved the deaf representation! The was such a sweet, fairly low angst read. if you love hockey romance, alphas that are almost immediately all in and an omega that is learning to trust again, this book is for you!

Wow I loved the idea of a deaf omega because she got what she deserved. 3 alphas who love, cherish and learns ASL for her. She has the best big brother even though they did exchange some words but seeing Benton & Korbin making up was so sweet and I love that Bay had people who would do anything for her. Such a good omegaverse and I loved Bay.

I love both Cassie Lein and Bre Rose’s writing individually and you put them together and their writing is out of this universe. As soon as I picked up Knot that Pucker, I knew within a few paragraphs I wasn’t going to be able to put this book down easily. I am an avid fan of the Omegaverse, and slowly I am developing an appreciation for the hockey Omegaverse. And I have to say that Knot that Pucker is stunningly well written and it decisively delivered on everything it promised.
Bayleigh, Korbin, Lincoln, and Milton all together were everything that I could have ever wanted. I found their entire relationship to feel so natural and entirely balanced, I loved that there wasn’t any un-needed drama or any over the top moments just to add tension for the sake of tension. Everything that Cassie and Bre wrote made complete and total sense emotionally, and that made it all so easy to stay completely enthralled in the story.
I loved that we not only got the POV from Bayleigh but we also get the POV from Lincoln, Korbin, Milton allowing the story to be told from all their perspectives. And getting all the POVs added so much more depth to the story. So often we see male characters being written as overly cool or they are emotionally restrained, they’re usually excited, nervous, openly feeling things and they don’t hide it. This helps to make them feel so incredibly human, and I loved this and it really makes you connect with not only the FMC but also the MMCs.
Cassie and Bre did a stunningly amazing job in placing the spice in just the right places. Often times we see that in Omegaverse books can sometimes let the spicy scenes take over and over run the story, but here in Knot that Pucker, the spicy scenes never feel out of place or excessive. Rather, the spice only enhances the romance and the purely romantic moments on their own were just as sweet and satisfying. The romance it was so sweet, intimate and it felt oh so well earned.
As a woman who lives with a disability, I appreciate when any author includes a disability in their story and I pay extra attention to the way that they handle that disability. And Cassie and Bre handled Bayleigh’s disability perfectly. In her daily life, in the way her partners adapt to and support her in even the smallest thoughtful and most respectful ways. Bayleigh’s disability was never just glossed over, I found that it truly added an extra layer to the story, and it added real depth to Bayleigh, Lincoln, Korbin, Milton’s relationship.
In the end, Knot that Pucker I found was exactly what I wanted from a hockey Omegaverse romance. All the strong relationships, the dynamics, emotional depth, perfect pacing, and especially no pointless excess.
If you love the Omegaverse, hockey romance, a strong intelligent FMC, protective MMCs then this is the books you’ve been looking for and believe me it’s a rewarding read.

I really enjoyed the disability representation and use of ASL within this story, it was well-written, and a key element that the MMC's (x3) did not try to "fix" Bayleigh but learn more about her. The omegaverse troupe is fairly new to me as a reader and there were times I was struggling to understand what was happening but that is not a reflection on the authors.
'Knot That Pucker' is a hockey romance, and draws inspiration from a "Romeo & Juliet" vibe with rival teams, family feuds and territorial relationships between 4 complicated characters. The story was repetitive most of the way through, constantly describing our FMC's scent in every chapter and then bringing up why Korbin & Benton are fighting and hate each other. I was invested in the romance blossoming between Lincoln & Bayleigh and honestly as a reverse harem fan, didn't feel we needed a MFMM dynamic. There was a lack of balance between the three alpha's and our omega, felt their character weren't as developed so hard to root for them. Lincoln is your classic golden retriever energy, doe-eyed and falls first. I am not part of the ASL/deaf community so I cannot comment on whether the representation had any errors, but it was great to read and Bayleigh was a sweetheart.
I am unsure whether I would recommend this book, it was underwhelming and full transparency I have soft DNF'd this at 65% because I am not as invested as I'd like to be. I do enjoy Cassie Lien's work so I will finish it, just prioritising other stories alongside.
