Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Highlights
-Competent Characters that feel like people
-No one is diminished for another character or plot reasons
-So much tension
-Fun
-The Spice is great
-Mainly balanced MFM (It does as it says it will in the summary)
-Loads of Hockey terms and scenes

I’ll start with another disclaimer, my review copy had some timeline issues and inconsistencies. I thoroughly enjoyed the book otherwise so I reached out to the author who said most of them had been resolved or were in the process of being resolved. I did not get to see a newer copy where such things were done, so I’d like to point out my copy had these errors but yours hopefully won’t. If I were to be honest though? Worth reading to completion regardless. No regrets.

I really, really enjoyed my time with this book.

The plot is exactly what you’re promised in the summary. In my copy(like I warned earlier), some of the chapters were out of order, but if you flip them around, there’s nothing jarring and everything made sense.

The only thing that got me is that the reasoning behind the rift is a little hard to swallow.

Yet, the characters are somehow also so charming, and I like their bond so much that I got swept up into their new relationship with no issue. Once they actually sat down and figured things out, everything felt so much better. I like that even once they resolve things, there are still problems that appear and everything isn’t magically healed. It gives the characters’ feelings weight and meaning. Especially as you watch Tyler’s ice slowly thaw throughout the chapters (even though he sometimes takes a step back due to grappling with his new emotions). I also like that you feel how much Cody cares for the other two. It’s interesting watching how he struggles; you really root for him to get his stuff together. I like Paige, I just wish she would have called Tyler on his bad behavior a little more.

This feels like MFM mainly done right.

*****Sort’ve Spoiler****** This is a me thing, not a criticism

I adore hockey romances. They are so fun, with all the hilarious team shenanigans, pranks, family dynamics, ice time, and of course love.

This book was no different. I love Fallons style of writing and how she pulls you in from the start. I have read many of her books and I love this series. If you like hockey romances this is a great series to start your journey with Fallon.

Paige had made it to partner in her sports management company and was the hottest ticket in town if you were an athlete looking for an agent. She was the best at her job and could do it with her eyes closed. Until the day she got handed a senior partners case load which included two hockey boys from her past. Now her past, present and possibly future are colliding and she isn’t sure she will survive the heart ache twice.

Cody is the jokester, the life of the party. Always will a smile pasted on his face. His charm gets him everything he wants from anyone he crosses paths with. But he’s never forgotten the two who got away his best friend Tyler, and the girl of his dreams Page. Now the three of them will come face-to-face, and acknowledge the hurt from the past that started because of insecurity.

Tyler always has an easy smile and knows how to support his team and to play hockey extremely well. He has lockdown his emotions and never let anyone in since his betrayal with his best friend and the girl he loved. Now the three of them are coming back together again for work as athlete and agent, but can he withstand being in the same room as the two people who hurt him the most in his life.

The story has MFM, MM, and MF scenes if this is something you’re not comfortable with please pick another story to read. However, I felt everything that she wrote in the story was tasteful and did not singularly focus on the fact that there were bisexual men.

I loved how she wrote the story, allowing you to become part of their world and to see how each one of them felt about the two others. I think all of us at one point or another have thought about a poly relationship although I know that I could never do it because I could never share, but it is always intrigued me. So now I live vicariously through the characters in the books that I love to read. Fallon is an amazing author, and I am so glad that I stumbled upon her because her books are amazing.

If you’ve never read anything by Fallon Ashby before you’re really missing out. She has a lot of books out there that you can get started on that are not all hockey romances but these are my favorite genre that she writes.

Pucking the One That Got Away . . . *deep breath* . . . Good. Really good. The type of really good that makes you think about the could-have-beens and should-have-beens —if you just would have slowed down and listened, or thought twice, before acting on impulse all those years ago. If you’re worried that people would judge you for where your heart found love, well, everyone knows you can’t help who your heart chooses. So, if THEY really care, it would only matter that you’re happy. How different would your life be? Is it too late? Or, like Paige, Cody, and Tyler, will fate give you another chance to make things right? This one made me feel deep. I am looking forward to the rest of the NEW YORK FURY HOCKEY series.

Plot: 3.5/5 • Spice: 3/5 ➡️➡️➡️ Slightly underwhelmed by this one. It’s a solid contemporary, sports romance even with some bi-awakening. It just felt a little flat.

A secret between three friends took twelves years of their lives. Paige is a sports manager, Tyler plays for one team and Cody plays for another team. When Paige is promoted she gains two players in her roster she didn’t know were there.

Training camp brings the three of them back together. Still not on speaking terms. It takes hotel room confrontations for the truth to be revealed.

The three of them decided to become something together privately. Not a secret, but private. Their secret is solid until a reporter uncovers the truth and spills everything.

Paige is let go. Words were said. Hurt. Torn. Broken.

There’s no third act break up, but there is distance. Distance while they work out their issues. Press releases. Building something from nothing. It’s cute.

This is a standalone with a HEA. There’s some mild MM. The trigger warnings seemed to hype it up more than it was, but I absolutely understand they’re there for a reason.

Paige, Tyler, and Cody - three names that have a past laced with lies, lost love, and unrequited love. One lie destroyed them for 12 years, but the truth may just set them free…. Or will it?

Absolutely loved Pucking One That Got Away! The dynamics between the three, the combustible jealousy, the seriously unnecessary hatred and violence of two hockey players suffering in their own misery.

Yes, this story has similarities to other books in the way that it’s why choose, hockey, forced proximity - but it’s written with such care and thought.

This is a story about looking past what people think you should look like and taking a chance on what you truly desire. For these three it’s each other and it took almost killing three careers just to do so. Fighting for love, literally.

I couldn’t put this story down and although it’s my first book by this author it won’t be the last!!! There’s just something about the story telling that hits different. ♥️ Would definitely recommend!!

Paige, Tyler and Cody.

Paige, Tyler and Cody have been friends since childhood. One secret... and one lie destroyed years of friendship. Now these three have to work together to conquer not only their past but the possibility of a future, together, as three.

When Paige finally got out of her own way and put herself first her character flourished. Tyler was being selfish and Cody was being stubborn. These three character arcs progressed throughout the book wonderfully. Once they all communicated and stopped holding back.

I enjoyed the MFM, FM and SMALL amount of MM. I wish there had been more of a bi-awakening for those two but it's okay overall this is a good read and the story is also engaging. I flew through it and the conclusion was so sweet!

Thank you to the author, the publisher (House of King) and Booksprout for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This isn’t just a fun hockey romance—it’s an emotional, tension-filled second-chance story that pulls you in fast. After a lie tore Paige, Tyler, and Cody apart twelve years ago, being forced back together brings all their unresolved feelings to the surface.
The dynamic between them is the highlight: Tyler’s cold anger, Cody’s guilt, and Paige caught in the middle creates constant tension and chemistry. It’s definitely a spicy MFM romance, but what stands out most is the emotional depth and the journey toward truth and forgiveness.
Fast-paced and hard to put down, this is a messy, addictive story about love, regret, and second chances—with a satisfying “why choose” twist.

I'm not usually one for reverse harem romances, but I found this one intriguing with the unique enemies-to-lovers twist.
Paige, Tyler, and Cody had an interesting dynamic with lots of bad blood between them; I was completely invested in finding out what had caused their rift.

The witty humor, intense rivalry, combustible jealousy, and extremely spicy moments balance this story. There were a few times I felt as if I had missed something, but as I kept going, it made sense. Overall, I enjoyed the storyline, and the depth of three people who struggled with not fitting the norm and being true to themselves.

Book 1 of the New York Fury series. And a wonderful start it is! Look forward to more from this world.

'But Paige has her own secret: she never could choose between them.
Maybe she doesn't have to.
As old wounds collide with undeniable chemistry, three broken hearts must decide if the love they lost is worth fighting for—together.'

The characters were very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

Whoa was there ever some history with these three! Tyler, Cody, and Paige all were best friends growing up. But as they were becoming adults, something big happened, secrets were held, and lives were changed. Then, over a decade later, they needed to work together and soon the big secret got out. There was some serious communication issues but once they were able to talk it out, they realized they had missed out on so much. Together. And you know what? Sometimes the FMC doesn't need to choose just one guy.

It was really good! Unfortunately, there was some continuity issues with my version but the author has assured me that it is getting updated. All three characters had depth and certainly some childhood trauma that has spilled into adulthood. The way they managed it and grew together from it was the foundation of this story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Love a slow burn, hockey and why choose. And this book was good it just didn’t draw me in like I had hoped it would. I love the characters and they all grew in ways that they needed to which was great to see. While this book was not totally for me I can see others absolutely loving this book to infinity and beyond.

Paige, Tyler and Cody's story is one of childhood friends to enemies to lovers. There is drama, second chance, rivals and more in a workplace romance where she is working with both players even though they are on different teams. A great read.

This is the first I've read of Fallon Ashby and it won't be the last. I can not wait to read more in this series. I love the banter, team chaos, and chemistry. I was drawn in from the beginning and didn't want it to end.
