I went on a girls' trip to forget my cheating ex. And wound up in bed with a hot silver fox…who gave me a night to remember.
This Miami escape meant three things were in Tequila. Terrible decisions. And zero men.
Until an impromptu karaoke session at a beachside bar turned into a spilled cocktail over a gorgeous stranger’s thousand-dollar shirt—and the hottest night of my life.
By morning, I had one Find my panties and never see him again.
Except I do.
When I walk into my new dream job at Titan Industries to discover my scorching Mr. No-Name one-night stand is Donovan Titan.
Hard-nosed CEO. Tech giant. And my new billionaire boss.
The bigger problem?
I want to keep my job. Donovan—wants to keep me. And the test staring back at me on my bathroom counter makes one thing unbelievably clear… I’m carrying my boss’s baby.

4⭐️ this was a fun quick read for me! Emma and Donovan had a whirlwind love connection that’s ending in a HEA. If you are looking for an age gap romance with the CEO this is a great read!
OMG I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard reading a romance book. Emma is a riot when she is at the karaoke bar drinking with her friends. I smiled so much my cheeks hurt but get ready because Donovan is about to get your heart racing. This romance book is such a phenomenal read it gets more like a 10/10 stars. You will find this book extremely difficult to put down. Vitina deserves a round of applause for writing on heck of a romance book.
Crossing the Line How could Emma know that the delicious, sexy, silver-fox named Don that she spent an amazing, mind blowing night with would be her boss! Donovan Titan. Now they have to stay professional and not cross that line, when all they want to do is straddle it and each other!!
Disclaimer: I got this book as a free ARC download from the author.
Trigger and content warnings:
Dubious consent/non consent: the first time they have sex the main female character is intoxicated/drunk and he isn’t.
Pregnancy: despite using a condom she gets pregnant
Communication issues.
Third act breakup.
Too Stubborn: both characters were too stubborn and needed to sit down and talk. The main female character was worse though. She has to prove she belongs there by working and pushing herself too hard.
My overall review:
In the world of one night stands with the person that turns out to be their boss this one did stand out. The characters were three dimensional and entertaining. There was a nice blend of humor in the story along with eye rolling and frustration at the characters. They were too stubborn in some cases and not enough in others.
The minor characters provided the necessary balance and pushed the main characters to confront their own behavior. To see that they were guilty of the same things they were upset with the other one for. And neither one of them were fighting for each other out of fear.
Where there was some repetition with their thoughts the characters did make an effort at some point to deal with their issues, communicate, and grow up before the end of the book. It was a refreshing change to have it happen before the last chapter.
There were some minor issues:
Every few sentences is a new paragraph, even when the same person is talking.
Internal thoughts and dialogue are written the same as regular dialogue. That caused me to read over the sections again to figure out what was going on.
There are a few punctuation errors.
There were a few threads included that could’ve been expanded upon but seemed to be dropped.

3⭐️/5 Romance books, without the dark preceding it, aren’t my usual scene. But I tried to get a change of scenery and read this book. And I was pleasantly surprised up until the halfway (?) mark.
For the first half: the MCs were kinda funny which I really liked, and they were making reasonable choices considering the situation they found themselves in, which I found realistic enough. Both of them were interesting, and I loved the fact that even though the story started kinda fast their love story was more of slow romance. But then the second half happened, and the FMC became such an uselessly childish character.
For the second half: I’ll try not to spoil here by giving the exact situation. The FMC learned something, but decided to take a few weeks before telling the MMC, questionable choice but okay. But then, after having LITERAL weeks to get to term with that thing she learned. She was hurt because the MMC wasn’t reacting well, literally 5 seconds after telling him about it. When once again, she had WEEKS to get to term with it and she herself didn’t took the news well at first. So she had the right to react badly about that thing, but when the MMC was shocked into silence he suddenly becomes the bad guy ??? And the fact that everyone was trying to make him look like he was in the wrong, when SHE was the one who had such high hopes to begin with ?? And after that she acted like a childish character multiple times. She felt sooo childish it hurt, truthfully she looked more like a 22y old than a 26yo.
Another bad point regarding the story was that the author often got her timeline mixed up ? Sometimes the characters would say that they did something a few days ago, but then a few lines down would say that it happened yesterday? That took me out of the story a few times.
It was a good story, but the FMC got really annoying really fast
Emma went out with her friends, she was drunk , they were talking about her ex how she didn’t deserved to be with a cheater like him,she swore that another man would never come to her life. She wanted to go to sing at the karaoke when she was walking near the dj someone hit her and her drink went onto a man’s shirt, the man was like stepped out from a magazine.she was worried but he tells her to breathe, while they were talking he asked her to go to his Hotel room. The day after, when his phone woke him with massages he noticed that the woman who slept with was gone. Three weeks passed and Donovan’s personal assistant asked what’s with his mood, and he didn’t say about what happened in Miami. She tells him about the five new hired people that they were going to be present at the gala That same night , he wished that one of them would be Emma. At the gala his friend Logan tells him that the new hires are there when he pointed where they were , and she was one of them. They introduced her as the new strategic development managers.
Could not put this book down! I finished it in less than a day. It held my attention the whole time and kept me laughing. The whole store is bright and feels like a breath of fresh air from other reads.
The Female main character, “Emma” is strong, independent, and keeps pushing forward. The Male main character is charming, independent, and doesn’t take no for an answer.
The two meet in Miami and have a one night stand. After weeks of thinking about Emma, Don the CEO of Titan industries sees Emma walk through the door as a new hire. Their work relationship gets rocky as the days go one. Both fighting feelings for one another Emma discovers she’s pregnant with Don’s baby. The rest of the story is a must read because the author did a fantastic job portraying the emotion these characters felt. It’s hard to portray anxiety and fear and yet here I was wondering if Emma should tell Don because of her feelings and her past.
They met at a bar and had an intimate encounter thinking they would never see each other again so imagine Emma's surprise when she shows up for her new job and spots her one-night stand who happens to be the CEO! Things are about to get heated, and Emma's is going to get a surprise she wasn't expecting. Will their workplace relationship survive the feelings blossoming between them. This story kept me glued to the pages.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another great read by Vitina Rose. I love a good workplace romance and this definitely filled my need. The banter and tension between Emma and Donovan is so good. I definitely recommend!
